    I'm a noob...lol

Mock comes from mockingbird1313 which was the name I used at the old DSS Underground. I was a moderator there in the old days. I went into the DSS stuff to learn how it worked...at that time not many people knew much about it, but as time went on that scene got way out of hand with greedy people...I don't even follow it anymore and haven't for a few years now. So...turned my idle time towards video games, ran the gauntlet with everything from an NES through an Xbox - ended up keeping the Xbox out of the newer systems...got rid of my GC and PS2....might pick them up used later on at some point. Just recently broke out my old Atari 2600 and started playing with it again...went to ebay looking for some bulk lots to buy a few carts...found a link back to this place in a SQ Waterworld ad...read for a few days...liked the forum so I registered...and here I am. Thanks for the warm welcome...seems like a great bunch of people. Mock
  2. I dunno then...? Last guess: Dig 'Em or Boulders and Bombs (Crazy Bomber was a Boulders and Bombs bootleg/clone with different colors)
  3. AH! How about Apple Panic? Check out the review...sounds like your game? http://www.gamefaqs.com/computer/apple2/re...iew/R18375.html
  4. Mattel made it I think...it's an old racing game that had a little red dot you moved left to right trying to avoid oncoming red dots...lol. I think it had 3 lanes and 2 speed levels. It was also grey in color I think. Had one when I was a kid, lost it somehow in a move a few years ago. Longshot...but...what the heck. Mock
  5. I only have about 30 of each for each system...most are all common but fun games...would like to pick up some more games cheap if you have extras you don't need. Will buy in bulk, don't want doubles though...these are not for ebay or for resell, just looking to build a collection. I will send you a list of what I have, and if you have any that are not on my list, I'll take them. Send me a PM or Email or just post your email addy here and I'll send you my list of games I don't need. Thanks... Mock
  6. Wasn't Hard Hat Mack, Crazy Bomber, or Lode Runner was it? They all kinda fit that description in some form or another....Crazy Bomber sounds the closest...I have an Apple 2 EMU on my other box with a ton of games...might do some digging and see if I can figure it out. DO you have the EMU? Mock
  7. Just curious if any of you guys are running an Xbox with a mod chip? I have seen one run and it's pretty awesome....load a 120G hard drive up with all your fav games and you can take 80 - 100 of them anywhere you go in one small box. Load time is much faster reading from the HD. There are also a ton of good proggy's you can run on it...media players...a version of MAME...nothing like playing Galaxian on an Xbox...lmao. The game base is not that great, but look at the GC...for months you didn't have jack squat...then all of the sudden the market opens up...and it looks like the Xbox titles are slowly starting to come along. The biggest argument besides the lack of games that i hear is the controler...most of the games have a good tutorial so even us 30 something 1 stick and 1 button guys can learn slowly. I kinda like it.... I have seen the Xbox hater posts here...so I don't figure many of you have one? Mock
  8. Not that my opinion counts....but this is the way I look at these kinda things. They are not making them anymore...so, what is left in "mint in box" condition is what is left. If you are a collector, then this probably means a lot to you...if you can pick up the same games on ebay again cheap and already open...you don't have to be very picky about cart condition because you already have the ones in the box. I'd leave them in the box if it were me....but then again nothing like the feeling of breaking open a new game...lol.
  9. 1. Missle Command 2. Space Invaders 3. Pitfall Just my personal fav's..... Mock
  10. I see I overlooked a similar post in the other forum...sorry about that guys...I'm normally a 'read read read' kinda person before you ask questions. Thanks for the links and advice. I don't want to try, or even think I can just "make a cool game"...I just want to learn the basics and see how it goes from there. Figured I would try a nice easy entry level kinda thing...just move a dot around or something..lol. Anyway...I guess a lot of people would view it as a waste of time, but I enjoy this kinda thing and sounds like it would be fun. If anyone wants to adopt a newbie..lol..give me a shout! Thanks, Mock

  12. Where would be the best place to start reading up on doing a home brew? I know nothing...zero...nada...about doing anything on an Atari...I have done stuff on Apple 2e's back in the day...from simple stuff to high res....would like to make a simple game just to learn but don't know where to start from ground zero? TYIA for any guidance... Mock
  13. Hey guys...just wanted to say hello! I have been reading here for a while and enjoy the knowledge base, finally took the time to register tonight. I don't know a lot about the 2600 other than I grew up loving it. I've got a couple of systems and a few carts, nothing major, but I'm getting back into it. Anyway...just wanted to say hello and let you know I'm around. Mock
