Today I learned that one of the TV channels from my cable provider broadcasts a supposedly delightful TV series called Game of Thrones. Honestly I had no idea!

It's almost ironic, the nicer the display the worse the VCS looks.

I never embraced most fads. I never DISCO danced or had big hair or wore pre-ripped clothing. If flossing, planking, or the various challenges (cinnamon, ice bucket, and so on) were around when I was a teen, you wouldn't have seen me doing any of it. I also didn't have "school spirit," so that could be a factor.

It's amazing. In 1990, the high school I graduated from was destroyed by the only f5 tornado to ever hit the Chicago area. IIRC, it's also the only F5 to ever strike the US in August (ath the time). I was watching some videos, and even though I despised the school, dreading the way my peers would abuse me physically and mentally every day, I still shed a tear.
