Episode 112 of the Retro Asylum sees Swainy and Paul D and the Drisk get to grips with Nintendos classic N64 console. They talk about its history, games and the impact it made as part of the advent of 3D gaming. We think this is a top episode. Hopefully you can tell how much we all enjoyed putting it together! http://retroasylum.podomatic.com/entry/2015-04-17T15_20_29-07_00 https://itunes.apple.com/gb/podcast/retro-asylum-podcast/id474414834?mt=2#episodeGuid=http%3A%2F%2Fretroasylum.podomatic.com%2Fentry%2F2015-04-17T15_20_29-07_00

Dean Swain & Paul Davies return in what can only be described as the most strange episode of the show so far. The guys somehow manage to crash a jet and end up stranded on a desert island with only a handful of retro systems and games to keep themselves entertained. https://itunes.apple.com/gb/podcast/episode-111-desert-island/id474414834?i=339037032&mt=2 Check out our Official Retro Asylum YouTube channel for more retro discussion http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCfCC9rIvCKoW3mdbuCsB7Ag For more information on the Hello Ranbow album by YamaYama, visit http://www.yamayamatheband.com/ Main Site Sponsors http://www.playexpo.net For all the latest news on Play Blackpool in May 2015 keep an eye on their site. http://www.funstock.co.uk Loads of excellent gift ideas here, from Neo Geo X, JXD Android Gaming Tablet and much more! Thanks for the feedback. Totally agree with the sponsor stuff, that is starting to change. As you said, it goes on way too long. Will bear in mind what you are saying about the games section and the sound levels

Hi guys, I've never owned an 8bit Atari but I'm really I intreguied by the range at the moment. Am I right in thinking the XEGS offers pretty much the same performance as the XE65? Cheers

Retro Asylum is a weekly UK focused retro podcast which debuted in October 2011. Retro Asylum’ goes back in time to 1988, a time when the Commodore Amiga was still a new system with a bright gaming future ahead of it. Making the transition from the 8bit machines, what 1988 Amiga titles made an ever lasting impression on this weeks host? I don't suppose that anyone here is looking for an NTSC copy are they? Lol
-
Cool thanks guys, yeah other 2600 games run fine so im guessing its NTSC.
-
Hi all, I recently picked up Pitfall 2 on eBay and I've just tested it for the first time on my PAL 7800 and the colour pallet is not right. Have I been sold an NTSC version of the game or is there compatability problems with Pitfall 2 on the 7800? Cheers
-
Hey Swainy! Long time, I love this version of DD! It plays crappy, but after you learn to do the reverse jump kick timing you can use it to pwn all the way through the whole game. I just love the pixelated graphics man! What are you up too anyway? Still trying to get those graphics in a completed remake? What a shame man they've been going to waste all this time Hey man, good to know that you are alive and well! The graphics for Target; Renegad never did get used fully. Each coder gave up lol The ZX Spectrum version of the Double Dragon remake is coming aling nicely: Check out this video on YouTube:

Thanks to Pac-Man-Red, I've managed to locate a copy in Germany
-
Either loose or boxed, as long as the game works. Cheers
-
Well Telegames certainly don't have any copies left now. I've looked everywhere that I can think of can't find any... Can anyone help? Cheers.
-
I know its a fairly rare game anyway but I'm yet to see a PAL version of the game turn up. Was it actually released outside of America?
