  1. Playstation Activision Classics contained the original Kaboom but once again, without paddles it just wasn't fun. I wonder how it would be with the steering wheel. I never tried it. Personally I would like to see Kaboom 2 go to Nintendo gamecube if anywhere. The Madbomber would make a great hidden character for Super Smah Bros. Melee. Well, here's hoping. >mike
  2. Do you remember anything else about river raid 2 and kaboom 2 from the CES show? Were there demos of those games there? thanks mike
  3. Well thanks for all your answers. There are many atari 2600 and other video games for other systems that I enjoy. My opinion often changes on what games I like day to day. Whats important is that you have fun playing them. :-) I was glad to see alot of you picked Kaboom in your top 3 though. That zen quality is so addictive-but in a good way. =D http://www.geocities.com/elvis8atari Thanks Mike
  4. I downloaded every 5200 game. But I couldn't get my favorite game (kaboom) to work! The game loads. I hit the button and I see an explosion as if a bomb was dropped but the madbombers not even on the screen! Whats the deal? Is this a bad dump? =( >mike http://www.geocities.com/elvis8atari
  5. Yes that is correct. There was a special araknoid controller but that was for original Nes. Perhaps thats why Kaboom 2 never happened for Snes. Because they knew that it would suck without a snes paddle. >mike
  6. as far as i know Snes did not have paddles.
  7. I read that Activision wanted to make a sequel to the classic game, yet bring it up to date with the awesome technology enabled by the NES hardware. Does anyone know anything about this? What a loss! I would love to have seen Kaboom on the SNES. Sincerely, Mike Matei http://www.geocities.com/elvis8atari/
  8. I figured it out thanks. Are some of the 5200 games bad dumps. I couldnt get popeye or q-bert to work properly. >mike

  12. I love the flickering on the bomb. To bad all the avatars don't move that would be awesome. http://www.geocities.com/elvis8atari
  13. I just got a 5200 trackball controller. What are some really good games to play with the Track-ball? The only one I got to work was super breakout. I figured I'd be able to play Kaboom for 5200 with the trackball but it doesn't seem to work very well. http://www.geocities.com/elvis8atari

    KABOOM!

undefined Hello, My name is Michael Matei. I just joined AtariAge. My favorite game for 2600 is Kaboom! I was a bit upset there was no madbomber icon so I used Pitfall Harry instead. If you've ever played Kaboom I think you'd like my page. http://www.geocities.com/elvis8atari Thanks, Mike Matei
