  2. fast eddy wants to hump the stampede horse. haha
  3. On Atari the most i have spent in one month is about 350$. On video games in general the most i have spent in a month is around 800$ >mike
  4. Yes I have one of the Once uon atari videos. It is good. I bought it because Larry Kaplan the creator of Kaboom is in it. It's pretty funny. They curse in the video. Rob Fulop is like "Being an atari programmer was cool but it didn't get you laid." and he says **** in another part of the video. The guy who did pac man is pretty funny too. He talks about how he smoked a joint with heroin in it "little bitty dots and the little bitty ghosts" haha those videos are funny. www.geocities.com/elvis8atari
  5. frogger Dodge em Jr. Pac man deamon attack I can play those for a long time without stopping
  6. I didn't pick up a copy of Bugs Bunny. I wanted one but I figured I could buy about five or six cheap games that I didn't have yet as opposed to just one game for 40 dollars. I got Private Eye, Squeeze Box, california games, raquettball, Star Trek and a few NES games for under 40$. One guy wanted 85 dollars for rubiks cube and I laughed. it's not even worth close to that.
  7. I went to the Philly Classic today. There were lots of games and auctions going on. I picked up some cordless Atari remote controllers. I even met Albert from Atariage. Very fun and got some good deals on some games. Looking forward to next years. Sincerely, Mike Matei
  8. Kaboom Jr, Pac-Man Deamon Attack are my 3 favorites right now
  9. Sorry to hear about Pitfall Harry and his site. I read some of these posts and now I'm worried about my site KaboomOnline. I thought it was pretty funny..I typed in KABOOM in the Yahoo search engine and my site was one of the first ones to pop up. I didn't even have to type in Atari Kaboom or anything. My point is that I like my site and now that lots of people can find it easily I hope it doesn't get deleted. I put alot of work into that website just because I like that atari game. Really sorry to hear about Pitfall Harrys site. HEY! maybe he's just moving the site. Maybe he's making PITFALL.COM! hmm probably not. That would be cool though. =) www.geocities.com/elvis8atari Sincerely, Mike Matei have YOU played atari today?
  10. Not to start an arguement but I have to disagree. The PC version of Kaboom takes away the spirit of the original. The bombs in the PC version never seem to get fast enough making it too easy. Kaboom is about the combination of a good set of paddles and ridiculously awesome hand-eye-coordination skills. If you play the original 2600 version and start to get around anywhere beyond 3000 points you start to go into a zen like state where all your attention is all on the game. The bombs drop so fast that you have to use 100% concentration to keep going. Making it the ultimate escape from reality. Which is what great video games are all about. Excellent games are games that require skill. Some good examples are Kaboom, Super Mario Kart, Super Monkey Ball and alot of others that escape me right now.. Anyway, my point is that Kaboom needs to be played on an Atari 2600. With a good set of non-jittery paddles. For more information on this visit my Kaboom website KABOOMONLINE at www.geocities.com/elvis8atari Sincerely, Mike Matei Have YOU played atari today?
  11. it is a black cord. it has three ends. one plugs into the 5200 and the other ends plug into either a 2600 type plug or into the end of the trackball plug. Nothing workis at all when i have it plugged in. But if I just have the trackball controller plugged directly into the 5200 it works. So there must be something wrong with the cord I guess. I just tried the wico in my 2600 and that won't work either. Do wico controllers work with the 2600? Someone please help! how can i get a good 5200 controller!
  12. I am 21 and I have been playing Atari since before I knew how to tie my shoes.
  13. Ok..I have the atari trackball controller. That works fine. I enjoy that. Then i got myself one of those wico controllers hoping it would work. The thing is it plugs into the 5200 through another cable. And I think the cable it plugs in through is dead or something. because i plugged the trackball to the cable and then to the 5200 and i got no response. But just reguarly plugged in the trackball works. Can someone shed some light on this subject for me and tell me what the deal with the other cable is.. its like a black cable that you can plug 2600style cables into i don't know what it's called. I just really want to play my 5200 games but the damn wico controller won't work and that was supposedly great for the 5200 ERRRR
  14. My atari is right next to my Nintendo Gamecube by my TV in my living room. www.geocities.com/elvis8atari

    2600 ?

what does the 2600 in atari 2600 stand for
  16. You build furniture out of combat carts. That was hilarious. I'd like to have a big HD screen TV to play atari.
  17. Pac Man, Frogger, Q-bert and Pole Position were cartoon shows as well. But those are cartoons based on video games so I don't know if you'd count those.
  18. Yea, I can understand if you don't like Kaboom that much. Alot of people get turned off by challenging games. =D Kaboomonline www.geocities.com/elvis8atari
  19. My personal Kaboom high is 13,305 and my roommates is 27,770. The highest score you can achieve is 999,999. I always wanted to play kaboom with the atari mind link. The controller that attaches to your head. I just think it would be funny to see someone shaking their head right and left with wires strapped to their head.
  20. Right now I'm listening to Elvis: That's The Way It Is Special Edition but what does this topic have to do with atari 2600?
  21. I've been wanting to add a high scores section to KaboomOnline so that the site is a little more interactive. If you have ever played Kaboom and have a decent score please post here with 1. Your Name (or screenname) 2. Your best score in Kaboom 3. Your Location (state/country) Here's a link to the website www.geocities.com/elvis8atari KaboomOnline Thanks Alot Sincerely, Mike Matei
  22. I can't sleep until I get 999,999 in Kaboom, all master stages unlocked in Super Monkey Ball and the highest score in the world in beat em eat em
  23. For the first time since i started my collection I finally found some games somewhere other than ebay or the internet. I went to an antique sale on south street and some dope was selling great rare games really cheap. I ended up with crypts of chaos, chuck norris double ender, planet patrol, nexar and wabbit for about 20$ much better than an Ebay deal. So I guess I'd have to say that finding games at a garage sale or "in the wild" is the best way to go. But good luck finding garage sales that have atari games..let alone rare ones.
  24. I'd just like to say i got my copy of gunfight with my label on it and I'm very happy with it. >Mike
