  1. I have the X-men game...get to that pretty soon. So what game would you advise if I'm looking for a 2 player (team not VS) side scroller beat 'em up?
  2. Pacman 2 is one of the most unique titles of the day, and you get a code to play Pac-man and Ms Pacman on there to (MSPCMND...I think, been tolong) Anyhow, all my friends thought it sucked back in the day, cause it's an atypical game, more akin to one of those Tomogatchi things, only it's fun and has an actual point to it. Great game, not very long, but I bet you'll waste quieta few hours on that one Well cool! Yeah, I plan on giving it a go. I have no instructions for any of these games. So online resources and good 'ol fumbling around will be my game. I'll have to try that code out. Pretty groovy to have those games hidden in there!
  3. This weekend my sister brought over a sack of SNES titles. She knew I'd playing the SNES lately, and has not touched hers in a long while. The Zombies game is hers too. So, she brought them over for me to check out. I grabbed the bag, reached in, and pulled out...Porky Pig's Haunted Holiday. I groaned at first. And even started to put it back for "another try" at my first selection. But, I stayed true, and put it in the SNES. Ok. So, its a pretty lame game. I decided to spend some time with it anyway instead of just brushing it off as a bad, boring game. And, you know what, it's an okay game. Its fun at times, frustrating at others, but overall okay. I not very far into it, so I'll play it more I'm sure. But, I'm glad it was free...not purchased. I like the little touch they added if you dont move Porky after awhile. He fidgets, then theres a little animation where it looks like he wigs out with fear in the typical Looney Tunes fashion. It made me giggle. Next... Pacman 2: The New Adventures
  4. So, I played the crap out of Zombies Ate My Neighbors this weekend. This maybe my new favorite SNES game! Honestly dont know why I've never played this before. It very addictive, fun gameplay. If you've never played this before, look it up. It's worth a purchase for sure.
  5. yes. It even has the s-video connection. I have a (OEM made by and for the genesis) Genesis cable. Try here on marketplace or search ebay for genesis av cable
  6. I was just looking up that Skyblazer. Looks kinda cool, may have to hunt for that one.
  7. I found Top Gear 2 yesterday. Jumps, spin outs, buying upgrades...all cool features, but I agree...Top Gear 1 still is the better game. Still, we ripped it up and had fun with TG2, but there was something about TG1 that we both liked better. Also picked up Chase HQ. Not bad, but only fun in short bursts. Crashing into your targets to pull them over is always fun! Didnt the arcade version allow a 2nd player to shoot at the enemy? To much info to ask of the SNES I guess? My sister is bringing over Zombies Ate My Neighbors tonight. Should be an entertaining weekend!
  8. It's been awhile. I'd say a good 3+ years since any electricity ran thru the sucker. Anyway, the other night my Wife said she had not played Clay Fighter in a really long time. So, I hooked the SNES up, and we had at it. For what it is and not taking anything seriously, we had a ball. Tactics like the usual armchair banter and the occasional "shove" to distract your opponent's concentration were the norm. We squared off against each other trying all the different characters in all the different battle rings. Great fun. After enough punching and kicking at each other, we decided to race. So, I thru in Top Gear, which she promptly kicked my ass in the first race. Throttle, nitros, manual transmission, I have to say...not having played this in awhile, for me, it really holds up. A fun little racer title, which I had trouble putting down. I think we blasted something like 5 or 6 races before we called it quits. Normally, after I hook up an older console, I dismantle everything and put away until we're ready for another "go". But, we had so much fun, I think I'm going to leave it out for awhile and try some other games. Zombies Ate My Neighbors is next. Any SNES titles calling your names lately?
  9. I'm into the NES now more than I was back in the day. Mostly just because of the thrift finds today. But I was in the same boat. I moved from my 2600 to a VIC-20 to the C-64. I remember COMPUTE magazine, and typing all those codes (free programs) printed in the back pages.
  10. Not a fan of the racing titles? Forza 2 for the car action, MotoGP 08 for the bikes. (these are racing sims though) After my buddy hooked up his projector, we have not stopped playing MotoGP for the last 2 weeks now. When your whole peripheral is nothing but road, its quite the experience!
  11. It did then, and does today... Activision's Space Shuttle.
  12. Are you saying we're not going to be having a "360Age" site 30 years down the road dedicated to enthusiasts who still play their aged 360 consoles? scary aint it! (because that statement seems completely possible!) Or worse, a 360Age site dedicated to enthusiasts who want/wish they could play their aged 360 consoles. My ever building 360 game library all for not. joy. Meanwhile, my 60 year old Atari console will still fire up hahaaahahaaa!
  13. I cant stop playing Crackpots lately. maybe 15-20 minutes at a time.
  14. I would place my hot wheels or matchbox Cars on the turntable. Hold em, turn it on, and let the endless road roll beneath them! Yea, cloudy rainy days always reminds me of spending the day inside to play Atari. Good stuff!
  15. Yup....same here. All the ambient noises and everything is what made Rapture so creepy. I loved just walking around and all the sudden hearing a Big Daddy plodding closer. I'd run and hide somewhere with a smile on my face and wait for him to clomp by. Maybe that's my problem then when playing it and getting bored. As usual, I played with the sound more or less muted and with Jimi Hendrix tunes blasting from my stereo... I'm on your page NE1. Not with Bioshock (dont have it) but sometimes I will jam some tunes will playing games. Not just 360 either. Yeah, I'm probably that odd ball 1% whose played RockBand simply as a button-matching game while jamming tunes thru the receiver
  16. cool. Is that just a scan of the cover? Is there no printed material (instruction) there? I like GP rider. It's "arcade" like. Kawi Superbike feels more simulation like. Upgrades and all that. It's fun too, but I'm having to play a little more "blindy" as to what I'm doing with no instructions. GP Rider is pretty much hit the gas and stay in front! Thanks for the help, of what little there is out there. If anyone else has leads, please keep 'em coming I have box and instructions for GG Road Rash if someone needs a scan of that.
  17. I got some new titles for my Game Gear...but they are loose. I was poking around trying to find sites that had instructions...no luck. Ideas where to look? the games, GP Rider and Kawasaki Superbike Challenge. I'm sure they are easy enough to figure out how to play, but it couldn't hurt to read thru the manual just once.
  18. Then just get a barrel plug at Radio Shack to splice on? part number? I'd like to see photos of what needs to be done. What PS from walmart would I look for? Maybe I can make one of these locally, rather than buying one online. (i was just going to order one from best electronic)
  19. Please tell! I'd give that a shot for sure. ...sorry took so long..... this is where I got the instructions , the FAQ section here at Atariage.... http://www.atariage.com/2600/faq/index.htm...stemID=2600#nes
  20. It's a series of commercials. I think they're just tapping any big nostalgia toys. For example, here's one with a "Big Wheel".. http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=J2qS2FAN3HI Yeah I've seen the Big Wheel one too. Pretty funny. That kid's delivery is makes me want to get my big wheel again! Well, green machine, I did not have a big wheel.
  21. I have RB 1. Really dig it. I've heard complaints about the GHWT drum kits because the foot pedal is not fixed to the kit, and as a result, when stomping on it it slides around on you. Most dont care for the idea of shoving a weight or stack of books behind it to hold in place as ideal. I'm torn between the two though. My favorite band Tool has 3 tracks on GHWT. Its a total unheard of thing for Tool, as they never release the rights to their music for anybody. Even the stage art direction is taking from artist Alex Grey (Tool uses his artwork as inspiration for album covers and the stage as well)
  22. Good list, but what would put it over the top for me.... Gunstar Heros & Samurai Showdown!
  23. Guess this is why it's called "PAIN" Question, do you have to have internet to own a PS3 then? That problem listed here about not being able to play a purchased game until after another game was downloaded worries me. I do not have internet, and am looking into getting a PS3. (I download the update and burn a disc at work right now for my 360) I know right now, when I'm going over to my buddies house, I give him a call and let him know I'm coming over....that way by the time i get there the "updates" should be done. They do take awhile. I guess its a trade off for not paying like XBL.
  24. Man I hope not!! I love Forza2. My RRoD came when I got RockBand last year for 'mas. Unpacked it, played 1 song..started one anyway... and RRoD'd it. After I got the 360 back from MS, have not had a problem since. edit: oh, and I still play Forza2 all the time to this day.
  25. Yeah, In fact, when the time comes I'm just going to buy the RB2 game disc, and the Sunburst Fender (the black and white one comes in the special edition kits). But I cant answers about GH guitars working with RB....sorry. Weird, my buddy has RB2 for the PS3, and I found it easier to play (guitar...on hard settings) than RB. Who knows though, because by the time we are ready to play (usually 3 of us), it's been about 4-5 beers later.
