  1. *sigh* I wish I could go to events like this. Anyone know if anything remotely close to this kind of event ever happening in Canada? Saber
  2. Congrats. You probably felt the same way I did when I saw Gremlins just sitting there at a flea market for a couple of bucks. It's a great (and addicting feeling). Saber
  3. Hmmm, I guess Donkey Kong and Mouse Trap. They were my first two games that I ever owned (I had a Gemini as a kid) and I didn't know any better. All I know is that I had a lot of fun actually playing games on my TV. Also Pac Man. Again, ignorance is bliss, I just had fun with it.
  4. Ms. Pac Man for me. I always liked it better than the original in the arcade and as soon as I saw it for the 2600 I knew I needed it bad. Luckily, Ms. Pac Man didn't disappoint.
  5. Yep, the Gemini adapter was basically the same as the Atari 2600 adapter, just said Coleco on it.
  6. I'm am the same right now. I just started collecting so I am willing to pay a little more than what may be considered normal for some games. Right now I don't truly care about rare games, I just want to find all of the games that I truly enjoyed way back when. If these happen to be common's, then so be it.
  7. I figured I was lurking long enough on these boards and I thought I would introduce myself. I grew up on Atari and, thanks to me finding these boards and reading all of the comments from everyone, I decided to start collecting again. I managed to salvage my last 2600 (a junior) from the wrath of my parents (read: putting everything in a garage sale). Unfortunately, I lost my Vader system (which needed repair) and all my games to garage sales over the years. So while I had a working 2600, I had no games. I hit a local flea market today and found myself 13 games to start with for $15 CAD (about $10 US). Nothing special in there according to Atari Age's rarity guide with the exception on Kung-Fu Master (a 4) and Gremlins (a 6) which I had never heard of as an Atari game until today. Not a bad start to my collection though, I can't wait to hit the rest of the flea markets tomorrow though. Well, anyway, a big thanks to this community which has already helped me rediscover a huge chunk of my childhood.
