  1. Hey there, just came across your post. Congrats on "War of the Worlds" - amazing work! Are you shipping the game in an "original" 80ies box design? Just curious...I am interested in ordering, but dislike the VHS box design/feel... Best, Wolf
  2. In the beginning, I hated it and I didn´t understand why so many people are fans of it. I died so often on the track hitting objects on either side until I got used to the handling. Its a nice game, though I rather stick to the easier tracks, especially when I play with other "live" players. You don´t crash so often, and that is definitely a fun killer - at least for me. Cool avatar you have - where is it taken from? Vectrex?
  3. Good news - keep us posted as soon as something comes up! Can´t wait to order it!
  4. Any update? I am still interested...
  5. Batman for sure, and Hard Drivin as well.
  6. I really like the design of the Lynx I...its so 80ies Apart from that its great to have a "handheld" for big persons like me (big hands). Plus the buttons are waaaay better built into the housing on the first version - I managed to break the board holding the entire buttons to the front by just playing Toki on my Lynx 2...
  7. Could be a corrosion problem or a bent contact inside the jack on the pcb (rather unlikely imo). Try cleaning it first contact cleaner. If it works after that, it´s fine.
  8. Why don´t you buy yourself an accupack? There´s one available for Lynx II from Naki. Atari made a super-large-batterypack as well, which you can mod into a supersized accupack. I own both of them and swapped the old cells from the Naki pack and modded an Atari Batterpack with 9000mAh D cells. Its so powerful that it even is possible to completely power the VEEEERY hungry PC Engine! http://www.flickr.com/photos/65709578@N06/12923071294/

    Lynx to VGA

So what is the status on the project? It´s been a few months now since the last update....has someone heard about candle´s progress?
  11. Well, what about a re-release of Hot Dog? I wonder how long it will take...
  12. Yes, I do the same. Lynx 2 is perfect for that since the rucksack accupack is quite ergonomic. Although I have to admit I prefer Lynx I for the quality of the buttons and the unique design.
  13. well, the trick with overturning is to only steer the absolute minimum. i only press the steering where it is absoluteley necessary. Plus I hardly ever shoot, that makes me faster than everone else and I end up on the 1st place :-)
  14. I have read a few review around the web, and none of them seem to be too enthusiastic about this game. I got it yesterday as a xmas present, and I can say the opposite - it´s pretty much fun Once you figure out how NOT TO OVERTURN it´s quite fun, I don´t even need the gun to be on the 1st place... Ok, there is no manual available and no hints - you have to learn it all by yourself by try and error, but hey - it is very funny and the music is really entertaining. Truly a game of the very early 90ies, if you ask me. I would give it a 75-85% rating, if there was a box and a manual. What do you think - any opinions, good or bad? Lets hear it!
  15. That´s really great news! I´ve been waiting for more than a year now on an update! I hope you guys still have my backorder on your list?
  16. Hello Folks, I am in need of a few spares. During playing I noticed that buttons "A" and "B" moved inwards on the Lynx 2. When I opened it I saw that a little plastic clasp had broken off the board holding the buttons. Unfortunately the front cover of the Lynx is affected as well. You can see the damaged part in the attached picture. Does someone have those two parts left over and is willing to give them away?
  17. I definitely would be in for that too... Only trouble is they don´t answer emails. Any one here perhaps with a personal contact to some of the guys? At least we could get an answer if yes or no, that would be great.
  18. Looking for a complete in Box, working without scratches or damages. Please only offers with fair price in mind, I am a game collector, not a millionaire. You can also contact me via PM.
  19. So I finally had time to try and I used LX.NET´s solution. It really worked for me - thanks to you, mate! It´s still tough though, but I keep going without solutions.
  20. Hello folks, just wondering about their site. I´ve been waiting for over a year now on news about "Hot Dog", but the site still hasn´t been updated yet. They announced a restock of it for around 12/12 last year. I even wrote them an email but didn´t receive a response. Are they still in business? I´d love to buy a copy of it...if anyone has a CIB I´ll accept an offer PM
  21. Hey, thanks for the hint! I will try this over the weekend!
  22. that is fairly simple...just step onto the field in the moment where it stops, then step out of it to the north (remember you can run!). thats how I do it. but from then on I am stuck, I dont know how to get over the big field of silver plates...
