I found it mentioned some time ago for it on a Lynx collectors site, when I was looking for the Naki cleaning set/Lynx version (which seems also rare, as you hardly come by it on ebay, at least for me).
It seems there have been versions for GB, GG and NES also by other manufactureres, that left out the Lynx unfortunately. So "Switchstick" could be the only 3rd party aftermarket joystick ever released...unless somebody proofs me wrong
According to the manual, there is an address in the UK, where you could obtain surplus adhesive pads. It was made by "P A PROMOTIONS, 52 Claremont Road, Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex".
Ever heard of it, GadgetUK?
My newest addition to the Lynx Collection - Switchstix! I finally found one, after a long search via Ebay. Thought it might improve my helicopter skills in "Desert Strike"
Anybody ever used it? I am curious how the experience is, I haven´t used it so far...was too hesistant to open the package...
Hehe, that´s the reason why so many Lynx Games have great appearance but arelacking sound...simply a RAM problem? Why the hell didn´t the critics back then think of that, instead of killing the platform???
What you forgot to mention is that those other systems support WAAAAAAAAAAAY more colour than the Lynx. Which makes up for the difference in appearance - more colour will give you more contrast, e.g. more shades of colours to choose from. You have more options to make them stand out from the background - that´s what the Lynx is lacking, where you start missing detail sooner with less colours available. That´s a simple truth.
I am definitely in for a copy of the combined "Lynx/TV-out".
Would be great to have a version that is as simple to install as possible, so that damaging the unit is (hopefully) unlikely....
I am using these NiCads (2400 mAh). They were rather cheap - € 20,- incl shipping, and they´re no pain with soldering, since NiCads are more durable:

I just soldered them one to another using the soldertags, no wires at all. Wasn´t a problem fitting them back into the pack again. Charging them overnight since it should be slower for the first charge (8+ hours with 300 mAh)
Thanks for the help, but after many tries I have to hover around till I found the right truck, which unfortunately is depleting the fuel reserves. I wish there was a better way...since I never lack ammo, but always fuel...
I´m kinda stuck at the 4. Level in this game. Can somebody help me with the Trucks? Currently I am wasting my fuel on waiting until they turn around (which takes a LOT of time), so that I can see whether they´re hiding bomb parts or not.
Unfortunately I have to play halfway through the game until this mission is unlocked, and only from there I can try to find the matching 4 trucks. Isn´t there a simpler approach in finding out? Search via google only brings up the level codes, which I obviously don´t need....
Someone is selling a repair kit. Just saw this on ebay:

How about the original resistor, that was soldered on the charge plug on the bottom of the Naki-Pak? Did you reuse it? I never figured out why it was there in the original pack. Does anyone have an insight on this?
