  1. Pure capitalist thinking. Don´t you think that people with less money would like to collect games too? Do you think it is ok for some to earn on silly prices? Compared to the size of the Lynx community and collectors out there the price is way out of reasonable pricing. There are games out there that are so rare that a high price is justified - think of Entex´ Adventure Vision - a game that would justify € 1000 for the tabletop only.
  2. That guy is insane. Posted the packed last time in January for € 300 but nobody bought it... I just hate it when some people push prices in astronomous heights. Makes others beliebe they can do it too. And makes it harder for any true gamer/fan to achieve rare or sought after items for a reasonable price. This is pure speculation...
  3. According to the info I have a new shipment is ready, so mine should be there next week
  4. This happened all the same with me on the first charge. I recycled mine (which is also new and had never been used before) in the meantime for the 3rd time, and it is now up to 2 hours of continuos operation. NiCads get better the more often you recharge them (10 hours in my case, 9V/500mAh) fully and use them until they lose power. I think they could probably get close to 4 hours, maybe even more...will try the next few days
  5. No, but thats clearly the most obvious thing that I would think of first...that´s why I sorted that problem out.
  6. Please read my first post...NOT RELATED to Rubber and/or Button/Contact itself... Must be something else, like i said before. Anyone?
  7. Oh well, that´s clever. I always removed the batteries before plugging in the wall adapter, because I was afraid too much voltage would destroy the Lynx...
  8. So the Lynx would die from overload when I plug the pak in before the power of the batteries drops?
  9. All the links are down. Can someone re-up this perhaps?
  10. Now for something completely different Can I use the power pack without taking the batteries out of the Lynx? Is there some sort of circuit that switches inside the lynx when the power pack is too low on energy? Has anyone had experience in this direction?
  11. Crazy world...now they keep searching you just because you´re into vintage electronics...... Chemical analysis...how stupid is that...they should use their brains instead...sad story.
  12. Do I get this right - you use the PSU for CHARGING the Powerpack? Is that true? Because this is the main question here...
  13. Hey, I was talking about LYNX 1...so if you have any hint on THAT ONE, please let me know...
  14. # Thanks. And what polarity has the plug?
  15. I´ve taken my Lynx I with me as hand luggage. They looked at me as if I´d come from the past...some security guys couldn´t resist smiling... Unfortunately after traveling by plane this Lynx didn´t respond anymore...probably high altitude or sun winds....
  16. Hey, Do you know 9V FOR SURE, or is this just a guess? I don´t wanna blow the pack... Do you know by any chance, what polarity the plug needs to be? Thanks, Wolf
  17. Hello Members, another question: I just received this PowerPack for Lynx II. Since there isn´t a charger coming with it....could I use a power adapter to charge it? I am not sure about the plug...is the center tip of the pack + or - ? What current/voltage would the power adapter need to be of? Thanks, Wolf
  18. Hello Community, I am having a little problem here. A friend of mine is repairing my Lynx I (Backlight off, LCD was off). Now he encountered a strange thing: Lynx I works again, but randomly the "Option 2" Button is "ON". I don´t think it is related to the rubber/button itself, so we can sort that one out. What could that be? Anyone? Many thanks! Wolf
  19. Hey, thats interesting. From which other point should I measure for TP 12?
  20. [quote name=Sub(Function()' timestamp='1333141322' post='2492768] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qLfK8ygRNM4&list=UUq1lgb625n5GRYPnZWniAjA&index=12&feature=plcp I was told this was an AA member Rygar Thanks, but I am talking about LYNX ONE.
  21. Hello Everyone, I´ve searching quite some time now for a LED Mod for a Lynx I. Backlight tube won´t come on, still after replacing with a new one... Does someone here have a procedure with photos of a LED mod? Since I am not so firm with electronics (but quite good at soldering) I would need a little help. Anyone here ever tried? Thanks for input and help on this. Wolf
  22. Hi, a few days ago the backlight of my Lynx I went off and never on again. I first thought it was completely dead. But then I used a lamp and turned on the Lynx - I can see that the LCD screen still works (as does the sound, too). So it loads the games and plays - just the backlight isn´t there... Has anyone got a clue what might have died - is it the tube, is it some capacitor or something else maybe? Some part that is prone and known to die first? Soldering isn´t a problem for me I am skilled enough and have the tools, I just gotta know what´s causing the trouble... Thanks for any input!
  23. Ok, thank you for the explanation. Now I understand what you mean. Seems like a lot of work...and very complex too.
