  1. Have you tried running the application as an administrator?
  2. People who bought loose copies of D2K Arcade did buy some boxes/overlays/manuals later, but there were so few loose carts sold loose and so long ago, that there's no real 'variant'. The new D2K copies have a second run of boxes and cartridge stickers, but the manuals and overlays come from remaining stock of the first copies. DK Arcade was sold in a Mattel shell with a "JLP 3" board, and an instruction sheet. "Upgrade kits" (Box/manual/overlays) were sold but that was also long ago. Later, CIB versions of the game were sold in an LTO shell with a JLP 4 board. Most recently, DK Arcade copies are sold with a standard board from H.D. and do not have the Elektronite splash screen.
  3. I got a message from Joe on Sunday that plainly indicated that he's not ready to come back to the Intellivision scene. I'm pretty sure he'll be at Portland in a couple of months, and hopefully a solution can be found to get the LTO Flash! back into circulation. That's all I've got at the moment.
  4. If you are expecting an explanation from myself or BBG Entertainment, you’re not going to get one. I have brought a number of legitimate licensed games to the Intellivision over the last decade. I had a key involvement in creating the world’s first Intellivision emulator in the 1990s. I am mentioned in the credits on the Intellicart and LTO Flash! One of my games won Intellivision game of the year for 2022 and my games won 5 of 8 awards. I am consulting for BBG Entertainment. Don’t believe me? I don’t care. Regardless of what I revealed I was working on, it has absolutely nothing to do with whether the Amico comes out or doesn’t come out. Being attacked and mocked and my words twisted by a bunch of Amico lunatics who have nothing better to do, has made me totally regret saying anything. I just see malice towards myself, BBG Entertainment, and Intellivision Entertainment as a result. I have a very low opinion about people who have meltdowns over speculation when they assume that they “know” what is actually going on. They should get a life.
  5. I was allowed to 'talk about' the project (after over a year of working on it) in order to find people who would like to program the enhanced games, and possibly lend expertise to the project. As i said, it wasn't an 'announcement' so, that's why BBG didn't do it. However, I've learned my lesson. I won't talk about anything we're working on, and give no updates until we have a product in a box ready to go with a price. You can stop talking about this now.
  6. I'm not threatening anyone. I was called a liar (dishonest was the term) and I don't take kindly to it. I just don't think that any of these keyboard warriors would say that to my face if they met me in person, yet here they are doing it on Atari Age. My take on it was I was revealing something cool that I was working on, because there was nothing to buy, no product yet exists and no 'waiting list' was being made. People are within their rights to consider it an 'announcement'. I don't consider it an 'announcement'. We can disagree on that point, but it's really out of order when you question someone's honesty because you have a different take on things.
  7. "Social media made y'all way too comfortable with disrespecting people and not getting punched in the face for it." Mike Tyson
  8. ALL of these ROMS use JLP cartridges and work under JZINTV with the - jlp switch. The ROMS do NOT work with Nostalgia.
  9. It is my understanding that BBG's license to make use of original games and the OS to run under emulators doesn't include using a raspberry pi or similar to run the emulator. I believe it is limited to software running on established platforms such as the Xbox and Nintendo Switch. I apologize to BBG Entertainment for advising a flashback type device because of their license. As far at the FPGA core goes, it was NEVER going to be a stand alone thing. I am under NDA and not allowed to talk about it. Ironically, this gave people the impression that it was an Intellivision only console exclusively and attracted all the Amico haters/lovers who lost their minds over this project. I apologize for my mistake that I only noticed in the video after it went live that caused another meltdown. I MEANT to say 'BBG owns Astrosmash and Shark Shark and LICENSED the other original games and operating system' and regret that it wasn't caught and corrected before the video launched. I apologize to both BBG Entertainment and Intellivision Entertainment for the mistake and the drama this has caused. The people on YouTube who seem to be desperate for content are using this to mock me and what I was trying to do. I deny 'announcing' anything. I was simply talking about something cool that we were working on. There was no intent to 'get the word out' as there was nothing to buy and no waiting list to be put on. I will be doing no further YouTube interviews (ever) about it. The 'flashback' portion of the project is dead. A way to legally come out with an Intellivision FPGA core for an existing platform may still be in the cards. However, I'm stepping back. I have no desire to be attacked for something cool that I thought people would enjoy. Peace out. William Moeller
  10. I am disappointed that IE believes that what we are (were?) trying to do is not covered by the existing agreement. I'm just a consultant. I'm staying out of it. I hope that if the current agreement does not allow an FPGA core to play these licensed games, that it can be modified to allow it. Regardless, the original plan was to create an Intellivision 3 emulator with development kit to be released at the end of the year. This would allow people to make games for the enhanced system. We'll see what happens.
  11. Actually, they have a non-exclusive license to use the Intellivision OS and all the original games, currently and still owned by Intellivision Entertainment, LLC. And, yes, they have the rights to use the Exec and graphic ROM and we're going to make an Intellivision 3 console.
  12. I agree. The LTO Flash! without the firmware is useless. I'm hoping that I can do something about that in the near future and will do my best to rectify the situation. I am hoping that I can talk to Joe about the situation at Portland if he attends.
  13. You said in a previous post: "I guess there's no board anywhere, only the shells 😅" Yes, I get that you were being sarcastic. However, it could be misinterpreted by some people who don't read things very carefully as "there's no board (sic) anywhere". In other words, people could think that the boards still need to be manufactured and then they start thinking 'Oh noooooo, there's a chip shortage! The LTO Flash! will NEVER BE MADE AGAIN' and then start paying insane prices on eBay for one.
  14. I have been keeping a list for a while for when LTO returns. Somehow, I think that it is unnecessary as I think everyone will hear about it being sold again very quickly.
  15. Are you SURE that you're using a data cable? There are charging only cables that are useless on the LTO Flash! If you are coming to Portland, bring your LTO Flash! and I'll get it going with my netbook I'm bringing.
  16. If my memory serves me well, I believe that December 2020 was particularly bad for Covid and many people were working from home. It was about then I believe that things got crazy with Joe's day job. Sure, it's possible that he many throw a bunch of already spent money away and walk away permanently from the scene, but I personally doubt it. In the meantime, why don't you supply the community with your cartridge and stop being sarcastic and cynical?
  17. Let me help you with your sentence. I will drop all of your sarcasm so it's clear what is happening. "LTO Flash! will have more copies available if and when Joe Zbiciak loads the firmware onto each cartridge. ( <------- which have already been manufactured)" That's all people need to know.
  18. No need to spread disinformation. As said many times, there are approximately 350 LTO Flash! boards, shells, stickers and manuals. What needs to be done is the notching of the shells, the firmware installed on the boards, the boxes built and then sold. That will happen when it happens. No need to speculate about the LTO Flash!. We've been saying what the situation is for a long time.
  19. Exactly. The point is that the boxes were printed in Thailand and have been sitting for a year.
  20. The LTO Flash! boxes remain in Thailand. Hopefully, a distribution solution can be made if LTO attends Portland and distribution can be discussed. No promises.
  21. The LTO Flash boxes have not moved from Thailand. Also, people who generally have problems with loading games on the LTO Flash are trying to use a charging only usb cable. You need to verify that it is a data cable
  22. When you say the same filetype as the LTO Flash!, I assume you mean the LUIGI format? There is documentation on this type of file. I think it would be good for other flash carts to support LUIGI files. The 'int' files are just nonsense, and used by the 'Good Roms' people. The emulators generally in use can use bin/cfg and .rom files. People should rename all 'int' files to ROM if they actually include the cfg with the binary. Not all of them do in my experience and are simply renamed .bin files.
  23. Some people who have had their LTO Flash! die, and LTO replaced it, got replacement ROMS for the new cartridge, so that's not really a concern. Right now, with some titles, it's encrypted roms or copy protected cartridges. I'm just not willing to let some games out until they at least break even. And, to answer a comment made above.....yeah, the LTO Flash! can use roms encrypted for it. It has nothing to do with other flash cartridges. No other flash cartridge can do encryption. So, yeah, encryption is not relevant to the discussion. Getting games that support bank switching extra ram and flash ram ARE important to support, because, despite some people trying to marginalize those features, there are a significant number of titles that use them and games will continue to use them more and more.
  24. LTO Flash! encryption is secure and ONLY for LTO Flash! It would not be secure if it was supported by other flash cartridges. There are approximately 1000 LTO Flash! units in the wild. "Typical" (not always the case but true much of the time) ROM sales are in the 30 copy range. So, the people who will want a ROM and support a title that is being encrypted for LTO Flash! will probably have an LTO Flash!. There are far more LTO Flash! units than people willing to pay for ROMS. Therefore, encryption support by competing flash cartridges is absolutely unnecessary, in my opinion. I recently saw on a ROM site, people asking for the Defender of the Crown ROM. It hasn't been released and is on protected cartridges. Also, they were asking for Stop the Express and Yars' Revenge for the Intellivision, despite those ROMS being available for purchase for a very reasonable amount. Things like that don't encourage me to release unencrypted Elektronite ROMS.
