The Pandora Incident and other titles
Games For Your Intellivision replied to BSRSteve's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
I'm sure that the people who got copies of The Pandora Incident want to see more Star Mercenary copies. The problem is a relatively small allotment of cartridges limits me to under 100 copies for all of the 8 games that have not seen a 'complete in box' release. I figured that Star Mercenary would be the most in demand game, so it got 100 copies, Cat Attack!!! got 50 and The Pandora Incident got 40. I don't think I'll be changing the numbers much as I based my mailings of materials to Canada on those numbers. -
The space battle box color didn’t change because of the running change of the code, it changed because they made the space network. The new version, as stated already, will say Revision 2 on screen, so no need to make this more expensive than necessary with unnecessary printing just to differentiate the code.

The Pandora Incident and other titles
Games For Your Intellivision replied to BSRSteve's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
We decided to release Cat Attack!!!, rather than delay it another year. Therefore the copies that Intellivision Collector and the Blue Sky Rangers had were the only copies that we are releasing at this time. We will evaluate our cartridge stocks after the infiltrator and Robot Army preorders ship, and decide where to put our remaining cartridges. We are releasing 100 copies of Star Mercenary. We can lower that number and make more The Pandora Incident if there’s more interest in that game than Star Mercenary. We are temporarily moving to Canada for six months and were unable to receive any cartridges here and ship out in time. That is why there are no direct sales at this time. Besides, all the copies of The Pandora Incident that are going out this year have already been distributed. -
Just FYI. I cannot use manipulated art that belongs to someone else or is copyrighted. We are copying a scene, but the art itself should not be copied or just colour changed or modified electronically. You have to draw the art yourself. Sorry if that wasn't clear. Also, I reserve the right to declare no winners if none of the art is something that I would put on one of my boxes.

With the cartridge shortage of the last two years, it has been a struggle to release the games in the Elektronite pipeline. The latest influx of cartridges allowed us to print the remaining materials needed for; Ninja Odyssey TNT Cowboy A-F Cat Attack!!! Star Mercenary Infiltrator Robot Army The Pandora Incident All of these titles are now getting a few 'complete in box' copies being distributed. Unfortunately, because of these struggles, Elektronite has only ONE game in development at the moment, and that will debut sometime in 2024. Fortunately, I'm pleased to report that it will be an EPIC game! We have secured licensing of "The Immortal" from Piko Interactive. In the next year, we hope to have a new JLP version that greatly increases the storage capacity of the cartridge in order to hold the game. We wanted to have it as a surprise for people when we released our 2023 Elektronite Catalogue as a 'Coming Soon' game. Unfortunately, we've been having a bit of difficulty finding an artist to render the cover that we want for the game. Please see the scene in the mocked up art. We are hoping to have artists render this scene and either choose a font for the logo to compliment the art, or to design your own logo. The winner of the contest, judged by public voting, will have their art used for the game, receive $100 US and a copy of the game. The second and third place finishers will get a copy of the game. Details about the contest closing date are to be announced. Here are the requirements guidelines of the render as requested by the programmer: For the box art of The Immortal, I'd like to have the picture below recreated by the artist. - Must use a somber and gothic type of art - DO NOT use a cartoonish style. - Use Dark Souls box art for inspiration on how to show light and shadows. Make the dragon fire very bright, illuminating the rocky structures around it. - At the tip of the wizard's hand there is another bright light source, which should have a similar lighting effect. It should illuminate the wizard's arm. - The wizard's clothes must have the same colors as shown. Grey and red. White hair. Purple staff. - The dragon may have a different color (let's try green) so it is more visible against the rocky background. - Make sure the dragon's eye is visible. Of course, since this is a contest the artist can choose what to use and what not to use in their render of the art. I've included some PRELIMINARY test screens for the game. Everything, of course, is subject to change.

No PayPal fees are being charged because PayPal is not involved. I want cash and have my reasons. People will get a receipt probably on a Cat Attack or star mercenary overlay. The people who purchase the games know that they will get them. If they are worried they can take a pass.

Nothing has changed,...the preorders for Robot Army and Infiltrator go out at the end of October 2022. No other copies are available for purchase until next year.

People who attend the show and pay me in cash (no PayPal fees) will be able to buy ONE copy of Cat Attack!!!, so unless your “friend” attending the show has no interest in a copy, that plan doesn’t quite work out. And, I don’t have a booth, so the people buying one copy will have to find me and request a copy. They won’t be with me, just a sample, but will be ready to ship worldwide when I return to Canada after the show. Everyone attending the show has the same opportunity to get a copy. Part of that opportunity requires that you be at the show. I have 50 copies until I get more cartridges which is looking like summer 2023. I want to sell more copies but then there wouldn’t have been any The Pandora Incident or fewer Star Mercenary copies. I am not releasing 50 copies and never selling more. However, it will probably be a long wait until I get more. If you really really want a copy, mail me an Elektronite game cartridge with a jlp board in it and I will sell you a copy less the cost of the cartridge. I have multiple people thinking that by emailing me and telling me that they have a friend attending who will pay for their copy at the show are totally missing the point. No amount of telling me that you buy all of my games and that you are a good customer is going to make me take one of the 50 copies and earmark it for you. I have 50 copies and probably triple that number who want to buy it. If you cannot attend the show, that removes you from contention. Don’t complain that I have chosen this method to distribute the minuscule number of copies I have to sell. If I did it any other way, people would complain about that method too. The other game that will be distributed at the show will be 50 copies of Star Mercenary. However, at the start of the show, the Blue Sky Rangers will put their copies on their eBay store and everyone who cannot attend the show will have a shot at a copy of Star Mercenary. Please do NOT message Steve from the Blue Sky Rangers and try and reserve a copy. I am asking him to put them on eBay only and not accept direct sales. The cost may increase to include eBay fees, however. There’s nobody more frustrated with the lack of copies than me. So, please don’t give me guff about it. It is what it is. Please deal with it.

I have 100 carts for preorder (shipping from Canada) at PRGE. I intended to release 50 Cat Attack!!!, and 50 Star Mercenary, but might adjust my Star Mercenary numbers and substitute The Pandora Incident. It depends how fast or slow the 100 carts sell out.

I'll be in Hamilton when they ship, so you can borrow my copy.

I have more games than cartridges. Releases of 40 The Pandora Incident, 50 Cat Attack!!! and 100 Star Mercenary (50 from the BSRs and 50 from me at PRGE) are pretty sparse, I know. I could delay Cat Attack!!! for another year, along with Star Mercenary and release 'enough' The Pandora Incident, or do what I am doing. Unless I get more cartridges, I am limited in my options. I'm working on a solution to not have to rely on others for my materials. Until then, it is what it is, as you say.

I would like to clarify my comments. The Show Must Go On, clearly has new elements that make it a really cool game. The theme and presentation are original and it certainly is NOT a clone of Mr. Chin in that only the GAME PLAY is not original. Wolfy said the game play was 'original' and I pointed out that it wasn't. Clearly, there are many original aspects to the game, and very well done.

A new controller SECOND BATCH AVAILABLE
Games For Your Intellivision replied to tanuki's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
I'm not sure that I've been added to the list. If I have, my apologies. If not, I'd like to have two controllers. Thanks! -
New Intellivision console coming?
Games For Your Intellivision replied to Rev's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
I'm sure someone could probably retrofit one of the boards into a classic console. Nothing at this moment has been decided. I don't see why Intellivison Basic cannot be modified to support the Intellivision III spec. I have at least one programmer lined up to create Intellivision III test roms to test the features of the Intellivision III. It's probably prudent to use Intellivision Basic to create them. When the time comes, we can probably take on more people. I will be able to talk about the project more once an agreement with another party is final.
