  1. Lol, how do I get the winning mega millions number for next week?
  2. Lol... The sky is falling but Nintendo is genius. Give me a f@cking break....
  3. I loved that game way back when. Never saw a sit own cabinet though...
  4. I thought both Split/Second and Blur were both fantastic games...
  5. Fallout New Vegas for about another day or two. I ordered Skyrim and should get that soon. really looking forward to it...
  6. Thanks for the heads up. Just ordered it...
  7. Yes, I used Mame32 and now MameUI, But now they're being fazed out and harder to find. I can't even find the Mess GUI 64 bit version anymore...
  8. Well, I think Hatta is living in a dream world or a drug induced haze. Microsoft Word with a customizable frontend? Are you serious? How would anyone ever be able to figure anything out then? I get so many calls "How do you do this in Word?" Imagine if everyone customized there Word frontend. Or even worse had a different frontend. Madness. It would be utter chaos. Why do you think Linux gets nowhere? It's so fragmented and unstandardized. Who has time for this shit? People just want things to work. Same thing with these frontends. It not only makes things much more difficult to setup and much more complicated to maintain but totally fragments the user base. "How do I do this?", "Well, what frontend are you using? Oh I dont use that so I don't know" rediculous. All I needed to do before was install the latest Mame or Mess exe (update my roms if I wanted) and rescan my roms. Bam Done. And why is everything "Old" bad? Mame had an "Old" gui. Really? I thought it was totally clean, logical and functional. Look at all these frontends. None of them are as clean, functional and easy to use as Mame's gui. Oh some are prettier but are a total hassle to configure. Others are easy to configure but are actually a step back visually and functionally. "But this is a good idea!". Yea right. The Mame team is so full of good ideas. Just ask actually Mame users about some of the Mame teams great ideas...
  9. I had typed up a reply to Hatta but think its better to not say anything....
  10. What is a good Mess frontend? They all seem to be for Mame
  11. How do Mess frontends even work? Mess breaks things down by system and then games on that system. Do Mess frontends work the same way? I've never even seen a Mess frontend...
  12. Well, not to kiss ass here but I find Stella to be an awesome emulator with a great GUI. I didn't mean to start a sh*t storm here but I find this frontend stuff annoying, especially when both Mame and Mess had functional GUI's in the past. But like you so, they are free software and beggars can't be choosers....
  13. It seems that the Mame and Mess teams are trying to kill the GUI versions of there emulators. What do you consider to be the best frontends for these emulators? I've seen one that combines both emulators but I prefer to keep them separate. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I really like the GUI version of Mame since it shows screenshots and all. But I'm really looking for simplicity of setup also. I don't want a big hassle whenever I update these emu's....
  14. Why pay the massive licensing cost? dont get me wrong I love Indy, but as Uncharted shows, you can make pretty much the same type of game without the additional IP costs...
  15. I agree except he had to use microsoft points to buy the expansion pack. There's probably a snowball's chance in hell Microsoft will give him a refund. How did you pay for the points? If you used a Credit Card or bought a MS Points card from a store using a Credit Card call the CC company and demand a refund. They will credit your account if you explain the situation. Thankfully I haven't had to do this often, but it does work. That's why I try to but everything with a credit card and I hate to use cash. Once cash is gone it's gone....
  16. And this is microsofts fault how? Dont get me wrong, I'm no big MS fan, but this is clearly EA's fault.
  17. Does aae run on a 800x600 monitor? It just crashes on my Mame machine that has a low resolution monitor...
  18. This is great news! I was hoping that hey would fix the 2 button issue in the 5200 emulation but this is certainly a step in the right direction. I'll give this a try tonight. Thanks for the info!
  19. I never quite can understand what the Mame team means by "more accurate" when something plays worse. It isn't that donkey kong stutters because my pc is under powered (I7 3gz, I mean come on) its that the sound is muffled like the OP said. How is this accurate? It plays fine with no stuttering at all but the audio is just so muffled like its under water.... Also I have Raine but I have 1 question. When I play donkey kong on it even if I choose not to use emudx support (which is totally cool by the way) it uses the enhanced audio. How can I get it to just play original donkey kong with original graphics and sound?
  20. I hate it when Mame tries to be more accurate and makes the games play worse. The Donkey Kong sounds really are lousy in Mame now...
  21. Why are there so many releases of Mess though? I hardly see any fixes. And why is it based on Mame?
  22. Has anyone here been able to get Meka working on Windows 7 64 bit? It just freezes up on startup for me...l
  23. I just looked at the MESS code and it appears to support both fire buttons. What 5200 games use the buttons for separate functions? I just checked several Atari 5200 games in Mess to make sure I'm not crazy. I can't get Moon Patrol to jump using the second fire button like it should. Countermeasure doesn't work with the second fire button either.... I then tried Defender and discovered something really wierd. The second fire button does not do the smart bombs like it should, rather it does Hyperspace, which should be mapped to the numeric keypad not the second fire button.
