  1. Yeah they need to remove the text from their site that says "COMING SOON as free download". It gets rather annoying when people say they will release something and then a large amount of time passes and nothing happens. I've seen it happen to many times enough for it to be annoying. Not that I'm complaining.. just saying...
  2. I know when I had a back operation years ago I couldn't work for a month. Had weight lifting restrictions and I believe sitting restrictions as well. My wife gave birth at that time as well. Lots of time wasted on "Duje Nukem" in those days! Now my sister on the other hand had an operation more recently and I think the requirements are not as stiff these days.
  3. Thanks for the update. I know how things can be regarding back surgery. I've had back issues most of my life. Take yer time... I was just wondering what was up.
  4. Any word on this? I was just telling someone about the great sequel to the original Adventure.
  5. Yeah beam rider and hero are teo of my favorites.
  6. Thanks much albert. I was getting the game mixed up with Roc' N. Rope. Another good game. Although I prefer the arcade version more for that one.
  7. Yeah it be nice if some line @Albert could fix the title to say "Activision is so cool! (Rock 'n' Bolt) and maybe edit the first post to fix the name.. But I was also thinking of other cool non 2600 Activision games that were made during this period. Happy Trails, The Dreadnaught Factor, Ghost Busters ( 8-bit computer version), Zone Ranger, Master Of The Lamp, Hacker, Little Computer People, Hacker II, Zenji, Great American Cross Country Road Race, Past Finder. Hmm maybe not as many as I can remember. A good portion of their great titles were on the 2600.. Anyhoot.. I made it to about level 27 without the timer. I created a savestate so that I can continue. I'm determined to figure out how many levels this game has.
  8. Ugggh you are right. Brain fart on my part there
  9. I'm currently hooked on Rock 'n Bolt by Activision for the Colecovision. What an addicting under rated unknown game! I'm currently up to level 17 ( non-timer mode ) and I was curious how many levels this game had so I tried searching on the internet. No game FAQS or nothing. Apparently not to many people are taken with this game. Anywho I was thinking to myself for the 80's consoles and computers Activision sure had some cool games. I'm not just talking the 2600.. I'm talking the Colecovision, C64, Atari 8-bit computers and probably other systems I'm not thinking of. Games that made it on those systems but not the 2600. Anywho I'm done blabbing. Back to conquering the next level!
  10. I'll have to checkout that SKRAPER link sometime. When they added ES to their Project Lunar I had a bit of fun setting it up. I'm still undecided on rather to stick to it or the built in interface. I've kind of stuck to making each system as console specific as possible ( Sega console games on the Genesis Mini ), etc. Anywho I created a dos batch file based off of another one to scrape data. It worked fairly well although I never fine tuned it as I originally intended. I've yet to try ES on the PS Mini. Once they added manual scan to retroarch I have not had a need just yet to tinker with it. Plus Autobleem has built-in access to the Retroarch playlists so I can access the games with Autobleem.
  11. Just tried this today and all I can say is just WOW... And I thought Galagon and Mappy were milestones. This plays fantastic ( considering ).. even with one controller. I managed to make it to the stage with the little boxy things flying around.
  12. Well it's international museum week or something like that. I hope you all got your stamps!
  13. Just do this when you are in the game. ( Make sure it is linked to your nintendo account and that you have a live account on your switch ) Tap the menu button on the bottom right ( the four squares ) Pick My Nintendo There should be an icon for "Animal Crossing: New Horizons Special" that says "You can get this". Select it then touch the "Reedem button". It will give you a code. Go to your switch go into the E-store and put that code in and you will have access to the downloadable content.
  14. Yeah when you go into Nook shopping under "special goods" there is a "promotion" section with the final items. Brake Tapper, Campsite Sign, Fortune-cookie cart, Market Place decoration, OK Motors sign, Pocket modern camper, Pocket vintage camper, OK Motors cap, camper tee and OK Motors Jacket. But you have to do something in the camp game first and then download the free DLC from the nintendo store.
  15. Apparently there is a way to link Animal Crossing : New Horizons with Animal Crossing : Pocket Camp. If anyone is interested. It allows you to access some Nook store special items that you can use on your island. The process involves getting the Animal Crossing : Pocket Camp for your smart phone. So if you don't want to bother with that step then it is probably not worth it. Another thing I've noticed is that when Nintendy is doing an online update to their server you cannot access your DLC items. Which is rather annoying. Big thumbs down on that one Nintendo.. I'll mention some more goodies later that my wife discovered. But for now I'm still working on getting the Pocket Camp items.
  16. Well that's better than what I've got so far. I have a Japanese Mahjong arcade cab. It's a place holder until I get a REAL arcade machine..
  17. I liked alternating between body part names. I got the idea from the Atari 8-bit cartridge version of Track -n- Field. Arm, Leg, Eye, Ear,
  18. This is a list of the upcoming events and dates.. Nature Day Dates: April 23 - May 4 The one event we already knew was coming, thanks to a Nintendo Direct mini broadcast, was a celebration of Earth Day, which takes place a day earlier on April 22. Specific details and dates hadn't been shared previously except that Leif would return in some capacity. Nature Day began today, April 23, and sees special Nook Miles+ objectives that involve planting trees, watering flowers, and taking advantage of a new feature--the ability to plant shrubs. May Day Tour Dates: May 1-7 During this week-long event, beginning May 1, you'll get a one-time ticket--the May Day Ticket--to head out on a May Day Tour from the airport. Nintendo says that the location you'll head to will be different from the usual mystery tour deserted islands, and based on the video, it appears you'll have to navigate a hedge maze. Nintendo also teases, "A special visitor who looks familiar might also be there..." Based on the video, that'll be Rover. International Museum Day Dates: May 18-31 The museum is set to receive an expansion for art as part of a New Horizons update that brings back returning character Redd. Starting on May 18, there will be a Stamp Rally event that equips you with a stamp card that you can fill out by browsing the fish, insects, and fossils you've collected. Collecting stamps will lead to an unspecified reward. Wedding Season Dates: June 1-30 During June, you can visit Harv's island to encounter Reese and Cyrus, a married couple and another returning set of characters from the series' past. Given the photography-themed nature of Harv's island, you'll be decorating a studio and taking anniversary photos. Rewards include "wedding-themed items." (This wouldn't be the first time the game helped facilitate a wedding of some sort.)
  19. Well FWIW I got three stars by slowly adding flowers until isabelle said to add more scenery again. Then I went and took all of my bathroom furniture and spread it around the island. Outside toilet, bathtub, the works and then ended up getting three starts!
  20. Well looks like Nintendy updated to version 1.20... but no update information on their web site. So I have no idea what was added / changed. Found some information.. here it is.. The new Animal Crossing: New Horizons update, which brings the game up to version 1.2.0, is live now. It's a big one--it expands the museum and brings new vendors to your island. If 1.2.0 does not automatically download, you can search for a software update from the main Switch menu by pressing the + button while the cursor is over Animal Crossing. Redd is coming to the island with his art trawler, where you'll be able to buy art and sell it to the museum--but you have to watch out for fakes and replicas. Leif, meanwhile, will sell new gardening items, including beautiful shrubs to plant all over your island. There's no guarantee that either figure will appear in your game today (personally I just have Label, who gave me a vampire outfit today), but be on the lookout for them once the update has downloaded. Blathers will now express an interest in art if you go and talk to him, too. Upon downloading the update, you'll receive letters from both Nintendo and Tom Nook. The letter from Nintendo will come with a World Map, while the letter from Tom Nook will have a Bell-Bag Rug attached. Interestingly, the letter from Nook also tells you that bank interest rates have been cut on your island--even Animal Crossing can't escape the global economy, it seems. The Nature Day event is also now in effect, meaning that you can earn additional Nook Miles each day by completing a nature-themed task. Be sure to check them out on your Nook Phone each day until May 1.
  21. Thanks for the myster island map. Well that probably explains why I get the bamboo island so much! It's rather annoying!
  22. For the last three days all of my nook mystery island tickets have been bust. Same islands everytime. It's rather annoying. My wife managed to get KK to visit her island ( she's been able to invest more time in it ). She planted lots of flowers and put scenery all around the island. I've just been adding stuff here and there. I'm in no big hurry. I spent last night re-arranging a bunch of my trees and putting the same type fruit trees closer together.
  23. Just for kicks I visited someone via DoDo code. I figured why not.. I could use some apples. Anywho after a few tries I was able to connect. The guys island was MAXED out. He had orchids everywhere with every fruit. He put all of his towns people up at the front along with all of the stores. Easy access via ramp or bridge to all areas. It was kinda neat how he had it organized. Although it was kinda funny he had one of the houses blocked of with fencing and a trash can. The only downside to visiting a town with a publically posted DoDo code is the constant interruptions of people visiting and leaving. So I just did my business and scrambled on out there. I still intend on taking my time with the game. I'm in no hurry to make a "super" island or anything.
  24. I've been taking my time as well. For example yesterday for the fish tourney I just focused on that. I didn't bother with my usual daily routine. Just that and the top 5 nook mile options for the day and that was it. My wife and I tag teamed on the fish tourney and knocked it out pretty quick.
  25. I'm at that point as well. However Isabelle is in consistent. If you ask her about town feed back twice in a row without doing anything she will give two different answers.
