  1. Hehe... I have 2 or 3 spare joysticks myself. But I don't feel like "breaking them in" for ya. If the stick is not loose enough for ya, just rip off the rubber thingy, it just gets in the way. Once you break it in, put the rubber thingy back on.
  2. No nasty emails, but because of my hours and my unusual (ebay browsing patterns) it is not unusual for me to run into an auction that is just about to end and make a bid. No nasty emails yet though. But if you read the bid descriptions on ebay they say that MOST bidding occurs during the last few minutes of an auction. So I consider that a given. If the auction is important enough to me then I make it a point to be around when bidding ends. If not then I take my chances.
  3. Well the story only gets better but I do not have time right now to really update it, but either these people are totally clueless or they are jerking me around. I'm getting to the point that I might start threatening to take action against them cause I think they are screwing around with me. I will say this much it should be obvious to even the lowliest plant life out there what I want. I asked them a 3 part question in which the only answer was yes. Well yes to WHAT!! A yes for all questions is impossible since they would negate eachother. Man this is ticking me off! Regardless I have to catch up on maintenance type stuff as well as preparing some packages to send. See ya!
  4. Is that one dollar for each rarity point?
  5. It's amazing what you'll find in an antique store.
  6. Yeah I think I paid about that much for my mini SNES... Nice machines. Just like the Sega model 3 (or even CDX) and NES toploader. I even found out yesterday that the SMS had a model 2. Don't you just love technology. Anyways... I still think I could have gotten a mini SNES cheaper, but I was an Ebay noob at the time.
  7. Well... either that or you bumped it up so high that he couldn't afford them all. I can feel for you all though... One guy had a group of stuff he had up for auction and a sniper came in out of nowhere and started sweeping all the stuff up. Needless to say I was pissed. Funny thing is he was bidding for stuff alot more than it would be to buy it from some internet stores I knew. So I just couldn't resist playing with him. Long story short, I wore him out financially so I was able to win a lot that I thought he was gonna bid on. Needless to say he didn't show up for that auction. But seriously though... I don't let sniping get to me like it used to. I've concluded sniping is a normal part of ebay. I also hate it when people bid up the price to ridiculous amounts days before the auction is over. So I learned this little thing called self control. If the price goes to high I just pass on it and wait for another one to show up. They usually do. BIN killing... I thought about this as well. I only kill a BIN if I know I want the item and think I may have a chance to win it. But here is my theory on BIN's. If a bidder out there is willing to pay the BIN for an item, then chances are they are gonna bid the price up to, if not over the BIN. So it's pointless to kill the BIN less I end up screwing myself over (if I really want that item). I saw this one auction for tons of boxed NES games and the BIN was VERY reasonable, so what does some idiot do? Kills the bin with a $1 offer. Needless to say that auction ended up way over the BIN. It's stupid. Now from a sellers viewpoint the only way to keep people from needlessly killing a BIN is to put a reserve on it. Now I hate to say this, but as a seller if I chose to put a BIN on an item I would probably do that because of all the BIN killers out there. I think that about covers my thoughts for now.
  8. Yeah... you did see my response concerning that ST system right?
  9. Granny wasn't buying a playstation 2 for her grandson was she? LOL... I remember those days... pitiful.. I never got mugged for walking out of a store with my atari stuff. But then again nobody plays that stuff anymore.
  10. Makes note to self.... "always keep original packing until item tested".
  11. I've got a few offers on stuff and I'll try to convey that in this message, but since some of them were vague like (lynx system and some games) I cannot be 100% accurate. Here is a breakdown.. I had a vague offer on the system, accessories, and some games (though no games specified). But that was pending another deal. If I don't hear from the person by saturday though I may just skip that one. I already have 2 people in line after this person for the system. Games taken for sure... Xybots is gone for sure... Awesome Golf (Lynx) - most likely That is pretty much it, and last but not least... I was thinking of doing Chip's Challenge, Crystal Mines II, Kung Food, Super Sqweek, Tournament Cyberball at a buck a piece because they are pretty common. Can't get away from them on ebay. That should be it!!
  12. Ok... Maybe I'm insane, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask. Anyone have one of these they are looking to unload? I'm willing to pay cash (paypal), or if you want some of my stuff listed here in the marketplace (see 2600,5200,7800 and lynx stuff) and a little cash, that would be fine. Keep in mind I have a few pending "offers" on the lynx which I'm waiting on responses from so the lynx system (and a few of the carts) are kinda tied up in negotiating. Lol. Funny how these things can drag out sometimes.
  13. Whoops... didn't mean to imply I would back out. I mean it in the sense that I place a low enough bid on the auction that I can live with it, but not high enough to likely win. If there are 4-6 days left on an auction chances are someone will outbid you, if not then some sniper usually jumps in and does the trick.
  14. I've gotten into this trend, or maybe it could be considered a bad habit, to bid on an item just to get a feel for the other bidders on an auction. Anyone ever do that? I'll also admit I'm guilty of bidding on an item I do not expect to win.. Any stories?
  15. Makes note to self.... "find keyboard extender"... I wish there was a way to reset the machine from the keyboard. I think the implementation of missile command was terrible, they could have at least "fixed" it. They should have made it so you have to hold down the option key to "enable" basic. It was after all advertised as a game machine. Those damned XE carts with PCB's that are too short.
  16. I'm not sure of the name but one I always liked the music in was "spy strikes back", although the picture on atari8bitsoftware.de does not look like the game I'm thinking of. I used to play the game just for the music alone.
  17. If you don't mind me asking, why use that atrocity called Dos XE? It had numerous compatibility problems and is really nothing but an interesting piece of software that does not have much use.
  18. Strange cause I tried it on both of the lynx 2's that I have.
  19. Why not take advantage of the good tools database that exists. Worse case scenario, at least it has the CRC's built in so a little creative programming and wala... Instant file renamer.
  20. That makes it sound like they have the AI routines tied into the joystick movements.. Cheaters! I hate cheating AI.
  21. I'm guessing that would be a yes, but was just curious. Sometimes I wonder if certain titles wouldn't be more easily obtained from outside the US.
  22. Anyone have trouble getting the klax game screen to flip? I followed the instructions and pressed the "pause and option 2" buttons at the same time, but all the game does is pause.
  23. I know it's probably more novelty than anything, but how much do you think something like that would be worth?
