  1. If it still even exists.. I stumbled across a site the consisted of compilations of Atari 8-bit demos. Approx 15 years or so ago. They took numerous demos and placed them on an ATR image. Naming format DEMOS001.ATR, DEMOS005.ATR for example. The disk would contain MyPicoDos 4.02 and several demos on the disk. I can't seem to find the site or any old links I may have had to it. If I had images from there they are likely long gone. On the first disk are the following demos.. ABBUC Demo I, ABBUC Demo II, Atari Swan Demo, Atari Robot Demo, Compy Shop Demo I, Compy Shop Demo II, Compy Shop Demo III, Compy Shop Demo IV, Earth Views (Wait!), H.E.C. Ddemo, Happy Demo, Nemesis, Grafik Master II, We Use Your $D40B, Das Omen, Music Master II, TACF 7th, Oh My Dot!, Mandelbrot Fractals, Render Ani, Chris '92 Birthday, T.A.T. 3rd demo, Fraktalshow, Time to enjoy, Sweety, Digitsound NR.1, C-64 gag, Slotmachine II, Kaleidoscope, Ergo Bibamus, Rainbow Demo, Sphinx Demo, Lunatic, Studio Dream, C-64 Freak, Hello Boys!, Yo every lamer, The Top #1, Laser Demo, Einstein Gr. 9 Pic, Wowcopper demo, Norma, J.T.T.S.O.T.U. Digi demo, Pharao, Revenge of Magnus, Mirror demo, dictum acerbum, F*ed vocabulary, Alien, Christmas '89 and ZZZUM rotator. Any help would be appreciated in either locating the site or the disks that were available on it. Thank you
  2. I just noticed that the "Mr. Do (Datasoft)" version in the latest archive? CRC "57ACB209" will cause a crash in emulators within a few seconds of starting a new game. In Altirra this can be remedied by turning off Acceleration D : Patch I/O. However I also have discovered that the version available on Atari Mania CRC "CADB7C54" does not have this issue and will not cause a crash with the acceleration on. Anybody interested in looking at the two dumps to determine the difference between them?
  3. Is it just a fluke that Altirra can handle the 512k cartridge? Or was the 512k support in Altirra added specifically for this game? I banged my head trying to add the bank switching code into A800 based on the Altirra code but I was able to get it working after I saw that you only use the last 4 banks.
  4. Each emulator has different types of support for cheat codes. You would have to look at the retroarch document page to see what kind ( assuming that wasn't hacked like their github page ).
  5. I know it's probably a bit late for this. But I figured I'd report it anyways. I was playing Ms. Pac-man with random mazes and the bouncing fruit got stuck in the wall. I'm not 100% sure but I think I was moving up and the screen was scrolling down. Here is a screenshot of when it happened and what it looked like after I died and went back to the top of the screen. This was in emulation by the way. Not on a real 7800.
  6. No problem. I figured that much ( regarding the colors ) but all is good. This port is awesome. I want to try it on a7800 for the PC to see how the Wocka wocka sounds are. On my emu the seem like they are off. But it is using real old code. So that is likely the issue. Figured the same in regards to the bootlegs and exits. Yeah an unfortunately Jr. ( one of my favs ) just adds more complications to an already complex layout. The fact that you were able to squeeze as much in as you did is pretty darn impressive! Thanks for the latest update.. although I'll miss the XM enhanced graphic.. Oh and by my count you are at release candidate 13.. maybe you should do just one more... or just release it on a Friday the 13th as a prank.
  7. Great! I was ready to give a few more details but it sounds like you managed to find it! My only other comments are few.. and I think were mentioned.. Some of the colors are slightly bland.. I think it was due to palette issues and the way things are layed out? Especially the pear level which doesn't really look orange to me? Maybe it looks correct on real hardware. This is more so for Ms. Pac-man than Pac-man. You know emulators they can be weird. Also it's weird that the ghosts alternate between blue and pink when a power pill is eaten. But so far I think everything is great! I especially like the random maze generator. Thanks for taking the time to convert it over! My only suggestion would be to not allow two exits on a maze when in Pac-man mode? Maybe it's me but It just doesn't seem right. This game is definitely pushing the Maria limits though. I had to disable rewind on my a7800x emulator on the xbox in order to be full speed! I'll post more as I try out the different modes. I never was a super big fan of the odd pac-man variants but it is good to have them there. Although I do miss Jr. Pacman. Poor Jr always seems to be left out. Great work! It's a shame to hear about more possible delays with the XM? I haven't been keeping up with the thread. I'll have to hop over there and check it out.
  8. Just thought I'd mention ( rather than waiting ).. While testing out the last released download. I was on Ms. Pac-Man strawberry level and I ate a power pill. Proceed to eat one blue ghost.. passed right through the 2nd blue ghost ( they were on top of each other ). This is in an emulator so may be emulation related.
  9. What's funny is now when I play the arcade version this "feature" throws me off cause I'm used to the 7800/800 versions behavior. Same for the change direction without moving trick.
  10. I had my clock set back from the day earlier so I could do the fish tourney in time ( I work a night shift ) so when I checked Saturday morning it was more like midnight time. But I did see her walking around. When I corrected the time, though, I don't think I saw her. My wife has received a painting from townies. I don't think I've run into duplicates yet. But I did luck out one day with two original paintings and a statue! So I was able to buy 3 items with my three characters that I have.
  11. I saw the turnip lady and KK. You sure about that? I'll look again cause I loaded it this AM to see if my trophy's came in the mail.
  12. No "cheating the system" involved. Just making wise use of the resources available and knowing when to buy and when to sell. I'd give further detail but you apparently seem to have lost interest in the game because it is "too hard".
  13. My wife got to the point she just buys the tools now. Also if you do the x2 x3 nook mile tasks you can wait until the "Spend bells by buying items" comes up and get nook points for buying the tools. Honestly I got to a point in the game where I have so much money I don't really have to use the tools as much so they last a bit longer for me.
  14. Thanks for the info. I'll have to tell my wife that cause she was collecting the scallops. As near as I can tell I think some of the stuff is seasonal. We are both in different hemispheres and I saw her catching a few things that I did not get. Whereas my first day playing I had nearly half of my collection. There was this one "snow crab" that was rather difficult for me to catch. Yeah the collection aspect seems to be rather "off" and the fossil thing is annoying. I usually store my fossils in case one of my nook "bonus" mile tasks for my two characters is to "assess fossils" or sell items for bells. But I ended up with a whole pile in front of the museum last week because those tasks didn't come up. I really hate the ones where you have to catch a specific bug or fish.
  15. Swimming is pretty cool. My wife said on one of the earlier Animal crossings you could dive off a cliff and swim in the sea as well. She even mentioned the otter ( Pascal? ).
  16. I did some diving today and it's pretty neat. However the swimsuit presents a logistical issue when you use a wand for outfits. You can't make the swimsuit part of one of the outfits and you cannot edit an outfit when wearing the swimsuit. You also cannot use the changing room in the clothing store when wearing the swimsuit. So basically it is a good idea to keep the swimsuit handy in your inventory somewhere at all times. I met Pascal as well today. I like him!
  17. Yeah the Red stuff is rather bizarre. From what I can gather on the ACNH Guide app up to two of the following characters can visit each week (M-F). Red, Fashion Hedgehog, Pelican, (Selfie) Fish Dude, and the Knuckles wannabee Flick. ( Sorry about the names I don't know them well ). Which reminds me. I forgot to mention the "bug off" from a week or so ago. It was for those in the Northern Hemisphere. It was on a Saturday. Because of this I noticed that KK bumped his venue up to Friday.
  18. I find that the key to the game is getting things down into manageable chunks. Else the game becomes a time suck.
  19. New update peoples! Version 1.3.0 bringing some major additions to the game including the ability to go swimming, purchase Wet Suits, go diving for Sea Creatures in the ocean, a new special visitor named Pascal, new Mermaid Set furniture to craft, and Pirate Gulliver. Ver. 1.3.0 [2020.7.3] The software has been updated if you see “Ver. 1.3.0” in the upper-right corner of the title screen. General Updates Wearing a marine suit, you can now dive in the sea. You can now donate seafood that you can get by diving to the museum. You can meet new visitors somewhere on the island. Tanuki mileage exchange gift was added. Added seasonal raccoon shopping items. Bug Fixes Fixed some fish names in Korean/Simplified. In addition, we made adjustments and fixed defects so that you can play the game comfortably. The patch notes above are translated from Japanese. Going back to the previous update with the wedding stuff, May day, and the museum stamp day. I thought for the most part they were a waste of time. The May day island was mildly amusing but a oncer.. once you do it no point in doing it again. I'm not a big fan of the whole "staging a photo shoot" thing.. or weddings for that matter. But I did participate in the wedding stuff long enough to get all the items and enough "hearts" to help my wife by what she needed. Luckily you didn't have to put much effort into the photo shoot to maximize on the hearts. But it was mostly redundant and every few days they would add items but not enough to keep my interest. Museum Stamp day was mildly interesting.. I only did it the once that is needed to get all of the items. Other than that not much going on with me and Animal crossing. My island is in the southern hemisphere so it is snowing. I get to acquire the "snowboy" items which I have to say are pretty cool. I also downloaded an App for my smart phone to help me keep track of my recipes, etc. It is rather nice and even has a flower crossbreeding guide which has been helpful for me. I've been trying to get some of the tougher hybrids for some time now.
  20. Just tried this. It's a fun and strangely addicting game. And what's up with the title music? I just can't get it out of my head!
  21. Thanks cafeman I'll give it a go. I really need to map the mazes. For some reason they confuse me in my old age!
  22. Sorry I missed this. Thanks for the update. The 2600 version seems decent enough. Almost like a flappy bird in space..
  23. Thanks for the info. Now I'm really intrigued! After playing the C64 version I thought to myself "there is no way the TIA can handle this music".
  24. So I just played the C64 version of this. The controls and gameplay to me seem a little too fine tuned for the 2600 to handle. How does it play on the 2600?
