The initial version of GTA Liberty City Stories had the famous GTA exploit which allowed you to load homebrew on 2.60+ firmwares. Once Rockstar heard of this, they re-released Liberty City Stories thus blocking the exploit. The versions in the stores currently are patched and CANNOT be used to downgrade your firmware. This version is the original release, unpatched and can be used to downgrade your firmware to the homebrew friendly 1.5!!!! (and then you can load custom firmware 3.03 OE which allows you to play PS1 games!!!) I am at 1.5 and don't need the game. They are going for approx. $70-80 on eBay.

What is your system firmware? If it is 2.8 or lower, do NOT update any further, you then be able to downgrade and load all sorts of emulators!!! Atari, CV, NES. SNES, Genesis...etc...

Keeping in mind that Resistance is a launch title and Gears was recently released just before the PS3 launch.....and Gears is considered 'the' ultimate 360 title, I would say us PS3 owners have a bright future ahead...!!! The wife & I were at Walmart picking up some things on Sunday evening.....when I hear over the PA system..."attention customers, we have one PS3 premium system in stock in the electronics dept"...then again he repeats it twice...................I look at my wife and say, what do you think should I buy it and try to sell it on eBay etc..........so as she was browsing away shopping, she says Im not sure, I dont know...etc. etc..... So, I tell her i'll be right back.......now remember about 5-10 mins have since passed since the initial announcement..........so I trot (RUN!) over to the electronics section....and I see one employee who is carrying the PS3 box into the register area.........and I was like DAMM....its sold already...........so I'm standing at the counter to whats going on.....the other employee grabs the phone/PA mic and again announces "att: we have one PS3 system etc etc"...........as soon as I heard him say that......I go to the other kid (employee) and ask him so the system is still for sale?....and he says yes! I couldn't believe it!!! I said I'll take it!!! I whipped out my credit card and paid for it......the other employee then announces sorry customers the PS3 is now sold"....... I had them DOUBLE bag it so noone sees me walking around with a PS3..........by that time....there were alot of people around the electronic counter..........i paid and walked off with a PS3....I couldn't believe it.............I went back to the wife and told her we have to get outta here before we get mugged or something!!! I'm not sure what I want to do yet, to keep or to sell it....is the $1,000 question....so far the launch titles are nothing spectaular...but the system has alot of potential!!!

Racing Gears Advance, one of the best for the system, but gets tough in the higher levels........great game though.....

Ok...I'll admit it....I love Mario Sport titles!! They are cool and fun and can be deep if you get into them.... I have them all for the N-64 to the Gamecube (save for Strikers which just came out) to the GB Advance titles..... Love them......Just got the new Mario Tennis Power Tour for my GBA...love it so far...has the RPG aspect like the Golf GBA title!! Cool stuff!! Also, still playing Baseball on the GC.... Any other Mario Sports Fans out there......?

Love sports games...in fact the Genesis is the system that got me 'back into' gaming, after the 84 crash. I live for sports games, my favorite series was the NBA Live on the Genny and the NHL series.....classics IMHO. Into the 2K series on the Xbox now.....playing NBA 2k5 and MLB 2K5....the presentation on the baseball game is amazing.....makes you feel you are watching ESPN. C'mon sports fans.....

I picked this up the other day.....anybody else liking this game? I played the heck out of 2004, and this years version is even better with all the bugs of last year fixed. I haven't played ESPN 2K5 yet, I've enjoyed the MVP series thus far however. Any other thoughts, opinions comments on EA Sports MVP Baseball 2005?

I am stuck on Mario and Lugi Superstar Saga myself... Perhaps someone can help me... I am stuck at the airport level...on the runway....where you have to fight the boss battle with Mama Pirahana plant....damm I can't beat this...ugghh! Your help is appreciated...

I always hated the co-driver in 04, very hard to understand, maybe thats why I never paid attention to the #'s!! LOL!!! This years co-driver is wayyy better, very clear and easy to understand.....at least for me at least.... I do not subscribe to Xbox live, so I cannot test this aspect of the game.... However, I highly recommend it if only for the great single player aspects. It is indeed a true-sim, so you RS-2 fans may not like this one....I do!

Well....I either have been using the E-brake on 3 or 4 difficulty turns...or using the Hard Steer button........ Also, the co-driver is MUCH better this year....much easier to understand...also gives a # with the turn......lower #'s are HARDER turns....very good!!!!

Just picked up the new 2005 CMR 2005 yesterday....actually traded in the 04 version.... Had a few go-arounds with it so far....very nice....it actually seems a bit 'more sim' in terms of car handling and car pyschics......I had to re-arrange the controller configuration......I default config has the gear up/down mapped to the black./white buttons on the X-box controller... I like it....haven't started a Career yet, was playing the new Championship mode which has you racing as Colin himself.... For true sim racing fans you all wil love this.... I particuallarly always perferred CMR over Rallisport, although I do have both:) Opinions? Comments? On CMR 2005?

Yep.....Thanks to Hurricane Charley......I was forced to buy one....This has been my ONLY videogaming for the past week......I still have NO power:( Been playing Mario & Lugi superstar saga....its great...kinda like Paper Mario for N-64..... I got Donkey Kong as my free game....and yes I also got the free tshirt as well!! The only good thing to come out of Charley... Be safe! A

Yep I have it...bought on its release date....GREAT game....I'm not a huge Madden fan, but always loved the 2K series on the DC......this is a great game and the ESPN license and presentation is amazing.... For $19.99 you CAN'T beat it!! Go and grab a copy and enjoy NFL goodness!

I picked up a copy today at WAL-MART for only $49.99!!!! And they had a bunch of copies!! Just getting into it....so far its really good.....
