  1. I want one! I've never seen an Arkanoid like that, and I love the game. ..Al That's one of my favorites as well. Splendid update of Breakout. Before I got the machine I last played this in 1987. And the small cabinet is great as I'm really short on space.
  2. That must be the heaviest lava lamp ever made! Actually that one's a plasma storm lamp with tricolor lightning.
  3. Speaking of moving an arcade machine upstairs, I just got this little beauty a few days ago... sure it's pretty compact, but it sure as hell wasn't light. carried it up the stairs myself. This thing must weigh over 80 lbs.
  4. Suikoden on the PS1. Been through it more times than I can count but something still draws me to that game.
  5. Alright, didn't do too much to it, but on the barrel screen be careful when going up a ladder! dkonginvb.zip
  6. Here is #2. It's also the same one here on Atari Age's hack page. suic_adv2.zip
  7. I think Laser Blast was my first. I remember after not too long of playing it I mastered the hardest game, got to about 300000 or so, set the joystick on the floor and let the game end, then took a picture of the score for a patch.
  8. #1 and #2 aren't too much of a problem for me, but #3 certainly delivers a butt-kicking. I think I met my match on that one.
  9. Alright, finally found a copy of the very first one hiding on the HD... now the trilogy is truly complete. The one currently on the hacks page is actually #2. suic_adv.zip
  10. I guess the best idea to prevent this would be to mark the picture in such a way that it's easily identiifiable but also so that the identification mark can't be removed without ruining the picture.
  11. No, haven't figured out how to play it, other than that to score points you have to shoot the spaceships that fly in your area and shoot blocks that are the color of the center space. But, thanks for the help on that one! (would never have guessed!) And thanks to all who helped figure these out. For all interested, this is the V-case 128 in 1 with the two horizontal and 5 vertical switches that's findable in Atariage's database. Attached is the final revision of the matrix I created now that I know the names of all of the games in it. It's in XLS (MS Calc) format. Now, those of you who have this cart don't have to depend on that badly printed sheet with the horribly translated names. matrix.zip
  12. Funny, LOL... I thought Dodge stood for Drips Oil, Drops Grease Everywhere... anyway I believe what he was referring to was that the rom chip has some additional ram... if I remember right, it's an extra 128 bytes. I could be wrong but I remember reading about it somewhere ages ago.
  13. It's a weird one. When you first fire it up, there's just a line at the top of the screen. WHen you press reset, some weird music plays and the house thing descends. The creatures at the top are perched on it and they descend to the line. Then, all these flickery things start bouncing around and these spider like things drop straight down. You have to shoot the spider things before they reach the bottom, and you usually die some cheap deaths as the creatures at the top fire instant lasers with no warning as they move around up there.
  14. Even if I haven't played many of your hacks, I really like the way you make up a story for them. It's almost enough to make you think it's a different game.
  15. Your comparison pics definitely confirm it as the pirate one. Actually it's a pretty fun game, other than for the fact that I can't see my fuel, flags, etc. Oh well... here's another one, down to three left that I can't figure out.
  16. That was quick! I was digging in my rom files and just found it as a starsoft pal version, which is identical to what is on the cart. Weird mixture of pal and NTSC games on it. So far all of them work on my TV, except the screen is shifted down a bit on the PAL ones.
  17. I've thought about getting it. Not terribly good at chess though so that's a factor against. The price is good though. Waiting for the release of a few RPGs this year though so currently I'm holding off for those.
  18. The 1000ma adapter should not cause a problem, actually it should last longer since it's only running at half of its rated power. The RF modulator (the large silver box near the RF connector on the circuit board) could be going bad. If adjusting the pot that was mentioned earlier doesn't cure the problem then this could be a possibility.
  19. I finally crossed the 200 mark a number of months ago. I'll have to say that it was quite a task getting that far. 300 might be doable but I might be pushing it as so far I have most of the commons and what I don't have can get expensive. Haven't bought too many games lately though. I've been busy enough with what I already have.
  20. Thanks for the help in the identification of that game. Really enjoy it, and it does seem to remind me of Star Castle in a way. Here's another I can't identify. Not all that good of a game in my opinion but definitely looks interesting:
  21. Thanks! That was one of about 10 or so that I couldn't identify.
  22. This is on a 128 in 1 multicart I have and was wondering what it is...
