  1. Is it still possible to get a Sophia RGB version for an 800 XL? I would very much like to purchase one. Sorry if this has been answered already. I just found this forum tropic on RetroRGB.com
  2. I got my order today. STOKED! These controllers are excellent! Great build quality, no connector pin issues (I'm not bragging... I promise!) I have an Atari brand Pro controller and I can't really tell a difference between them. Well, I imagine this is what a new Pro controller felt like back in the day. Very happy, Highly recommended! I just might buy another pair. Thank you Starwander for the wonderful product!!!
  3. I placed my order! Woot! stoked to have a set of JAG Pro controllers.
  4. Actual question here, and sorry in advance if its been asked....if we gave our email to be on the pre-order list, do we still need to place our order through the website?
  5. Reposted from a different topic. So it seems that nearly everyone here on AtariAge that wanted a gen2Jag or snes2jag has gotten one, or in some cases more than one! It was always my intention to sell the devices to the Jaguar community first, directly and at a discount. Beleive it or not after spending the time and money to source the materials and parts to make each adapter, there really wasn't much profit in selling the devices at 25.00...But that's not the point. Jag fans get gouged on prices for games, controllers, and consoles, so I wanted to make sure not to gouge anyone. I hope you feel that 25.00 was a fair price. With all that said, and considering no-one has ordered an adapter here on atariage in a few months, moving forward I will only be selling the "2Jag" adapters on Ebay. This allows me to reach more people and streamlines the entire shipping process for me while also allowing me to charge slightly more. Adapters are now 34.99 + 4.00 shipping (Domestic US only) I hope everyone can understand this shift to eBay and the higher price, then again it seems that those who wanted an adapter got one already.
  6. inventory update. One GEN2Jag Six SNES2JAG First come first serve!
  7. Just to give everyone a heads up on future SNES2Jag and GEN2Jag converters. Moving forward I will take orders as they come rather than the "Make batch/sell a batch" model. If you are interested in either item, just send me a private message and we can set up the payment and shipping details of your order. I am currently making Five GEN2Jag's and have an inventory of 1 GEN2Jag and 2 SNES2Jag remaining from the previous batch.

  9. As of 11:12 am on Jan 27th there are Six Snes2Jag remaining.
  10. I'm not sure if you noticed but I am allowing two per customer this time around. So if you want another one, just send the payment and I'll throw another one in your current shipment. Might a well save on shipping.

  12. My pleasure, glad to hear you are happy with the purchase.
  13. Also, I recommend plugging your cable into the Snes2Jag first and then plugging the Snes2Jag into your Jaguar. I find it's easier to properly seat the cable this way and it removes any doubt as to the Snes2Jag's orientation to the Jaguar Edge Connector.
  14. I added a registration notch for the SNES cables, they can only go in one way. You plug the adaptor into your jag with the flat side down as shown in this picture. Thanks again!
  15. I hope that everyone that bought one enjoys the purchase, regardless of how the device fits into their Jaguar AV Setup.
  16. Composite cables produce a noisy and inferior signal than S-video, RGB or YPbPr in every instance of any comparison, it’s kind of a known thing in gaming and AV circles. Also, comparison pictures are posted on HDRetrovisions site that show the difference between Composite and Component video. There are also dozens (upon dozens) of Youtube videos you can watch to see the difference between the two signals. www.RetroRGB.com is a great place to start if you want to learn about the different types of video signals. It’s very informative and well written. Composite cables (The Yellow One), regardless of quality of manufacture or price point will always provide an inferior signal to S-video, RGB and YPbPr. It’s simply a matter of how they work.
  17. The Snes2Jag is nothing but a signal pass through, which is all I ever presented it to be. I posted plenty of pictures in the previous thread showing not only the insides but the video quality of the Jag through the HDRetrovision cables. This is the Snes2Jag order thread, that is why you don’t see pictures here. You showed jaguar composite cables which deliver a far, far inferior image signal than HDRetrovision YPbPr cables. HDRetrovision cables do not cost 129.99, those are eBay scalper prices. HDRetrovision cables sell for 60ish bucks when they are available. For people who have the ability to use component cables on their televisions, this is a practical solution as I am unaware of another YPbPr solution for the Jaguar. The price investment of this approach (around $90) is roughly the same as achieving similar/better results with a Scart based solution. Also, this adapter allows you to use Composite and S-Video from the Jaguar as well….it's about having options.
  18. As I review the tracking info for the shipped orders it shows several are out for delivery....and my anxiety is peaking. I really hope everyone feels they got their monies worth once they receive their snes2Jag. I tried to make something of a decent quality for a fair price. Please give honest feedback once you have had a chance to use the unit. Thanks again.
  19. Just an update for our International Jaguar Fans. shipping as listed (6.45 Priority Mail) is for US customers only. The cheapest option I can do for international customers is $13.50 international First Class Mail with no tracking number. I apologize for any confusion my posting has caused. Thanks again for all the support with this project. I really appreciate your patience and enthusiasm and I hope you are all happy with the snes2jag when you receive it.
  20. Songbird has reserved the last Snes2Jag unit from the first wave, as such I have no more units available to sell. I will make a second wave in the coming weeks and update this thread. If you put your name on this post, I will email you once the second wave is finished and you can tell me if you are still interested. Thanks Everyone!
