Hello, i have a few questions regarding the nominees: - Odynexus is absent from the WIP list although we have been working hard on it these last few months and we actually made a couple of announcements all over the place. Is there a criteria we're missing? - can you remove knights of scooternia from the list please? It is a complete unfinished release for now that might find its place in 2023 but def. not now - Im not quite sure why some games from the lynxjam competitions are present as single entries in the WIP while they have actually been released officially and compete in the release category. Why is Krow not in the WIP in that case?

What I meant by new troll faces is that after you get use to the mechanics, you dont really look at the screen, your brain perceive the green troll face, so it's very unlikely you dont see it or make a mistake No problem with the blue to gree screen. What I meant is that when you're waiting for tweets to happen, so everything is blue, it's not super obvious what screem you are on.

  4. Love it! My favourite this year! Original concept, very funny - which is not an easy task with on a 8-bit handheld system - and really playable I have a few suggestions for visibility/gameplay: - The selected screen could be a bit more obvious imo. At the moment it's just a little underscore symbol that the brain can lose when a lot of things happen. - more twitter troll faces? Maybe fake trolls too? - money earned based on speed reaction? - more cool cut scenes

  6. One thing you might want to consider if you want more colours and/or a longuer video is to lower the resolution and use the nice hardware zoom. Sure it will get pixelated, but if it improves the frame rate, could be an option to explore

  9. Great news! Just when I was thinking that the Lynx hype from the last few years was seriously slowing down... If I may ask, as a fellow programmer, I imagine that you will reuse WT engine, or at least part of it? In that event, will you consider: - to give the opportunity to choose between random or non-random encounters. As much as I like J-RPG, this is something that really gets on my nerve today - Giving the battleground backgrounds the revamp treatment? WT is a super cute game, but I always thought that the battlegrounds were a bit off, too "flat" maybe? But whether there will be some engine improvements or not, this will be high up on my waiting list!!!
  10. Oh la la, come one, it is not that bad, you're over-exagerating a bit @CyranoJ (I personally never uses these filter but I think the algorithmic behind them is pretty interesting)
  11. To be fair, there are some filters who, when applied on specific games, can offer an interesting alternative. I'm thinking about HQx and sabr filters applied (especially) to cartoonish games. Not saying it's better, but it's not destroying the original artist intention and offer a decent way to upscale some pixelart games.
  12. Ahah hopefully we will be able to produce enough for everyone. More than 15 copies in any case Just wanted to thank you all for the encouragement. The game has now officially reached its testing phase, mostly for balancing, and it shouldn't take too long before we can start the production process (which might take some time, but that's another story - we'll keep you up to date). I'll post new gameplay footage this weekend!
  13. To have tried to give a chance (again) to Checkered Flag, I doubt it reaches even 9fps, but admittely the weird control make things worse.
  14. Oh I totally get that. There is a thin line between hommage and IP infringement, although this can be a bit blurry sometimes. But starting a project as an unofficial sequel can be great for motivation, getting some push from the community, as long as you realized at some point that it's time to give your project its own personal touch... also getting it a new name probably
  15. I'm not sure I understand the negative tone on this thread (I'm guessing old jaguar community drama :D), but @Jag64 why don't you post a gif or two of the playable level? I'm by no mean fan of the original McFur game, but I like the idea of trying to revive it and "fix it" with an unofficial sequel.
  16. Thanks @Igor. Just out of curiosity, what do you call non-commercial ROMs? I can see in the archive ROMs that definitely turned into commercial games, like road riot for instance.
  17. Maybe overkilled for a Jaguar game, but dividing the floor into a grid and using A*. Since the grid can be small you should'nt have any performance issue.

  19. In total honesty I'd rather be "famous" for my homebrew games... when and if they get released... (but to be fair, working on CCS at its peak almost 10 years ago now was quite an adventure that I dont regret).
  20. Oh well... I can tell you for sure that the biggest announcement in that message is just a blatant lie. I did work together with their new "CEO", and while she had some limited responsibilities within Candy Crush Saga, it was FAR from leading anything big in the project (and they even modified that post once, the original one mentioned that she led the whole thing lol), and I'm being polite here. So my guess is that the "fully funded" part should not be trusted... (and yes I did work on Candy Crush, sorry I was young :D)

  22. I will give it a try this weekend. Play the original release quite a bit back in the days. But in any case it's fantastic to see you updating the game what, 6-7 years after its release! Have you considered a reskinned version, let's call it "Elian" to be able to make a physical release?
