Yea, whatever you say cupcake, because you have brought sooo many rare protos to light.. Have anyone on this forum right here found a genuine pink panther? Alright enough said. Thanks for the defamatory statements and pics btw riverpatroller I will be saving and talking to a lawyer about your online terrorism. I have been nothing but honest, and up front, I have done everything you have requested to this point, take pics of the boards ok, take pics of the back of the boards, ok, oh well umm can you record yourself playing all of them 1 at a time, yea cuz I have hours of my time to waste for $0 an hour. Whatever if you don't want them thats fine, I don't care jlanier on here these very forums knows that I'm trustworthy and can be trusted he has purchased a game most of you can only dream of owning from me, and guess what it worked, and yes it was what I stated it was not some pirated this or that made in my basement. So all the trolls can go back to dancing at the end of the shreck movies. I will be pulling them down once I get back from my Football game, where my kid starts at noseguard, and my daughter plays in the band, so yes, I have a LIFE maybe some of you should try it. Ciao' 4 Now, StOrM3

Hehehe, very funny, but the stress I was being put under to take pics of this can you show me that, I'm amazed I didn't Misspell every word. Here's the deal, the games play fine, some are different with diff sprite sizes, some just have diff colors. I'm not about to play test all of them for a petty $100 each.. Someone pony's up some money, then, and only then will I take requests. If they are just company copies then Pink Panther must have been a measly company copy.. oh well it brought me $2000. That's OK, either you want them or you don't. Like I said earlier circumstances forced me to have to sell these, you should have taken advantage, because now, I DON'T HAVE TO Sell these. I'm covered so make all the fun you want. This is your last chance to buy them at a fair price and stop trying to low ball me. If noone buys at a fair price tomorrow by 5:00pm I will take them off the market. Good Night Y'all <----- There is more for you to laugh at.. Hahaha.. Ken

I did not mis-represent these in any way, I described them using the exact words he said, and it is NOT one user, but two that appraised them within $25 of each other. I had another user who told me a different story behind these cases / cartridges. So, no matter who is right, they are valuable, I have them, I want to sell them, I'm sorry for any confusion, I was told they were prototypes, because as you can see in the final post by another user who states he has that space invaders game and it was NOT final version as the gun didn't even fit underneath the shield yet. Can we please get back to some money talk please, now that, that is settled. Since he showed me this other post, I will accept as the opening bid $75 on each cart instead of $100. I might make a better deal on the bundle, just contact me, today is thursday and in order for the $ to even show in my account by saturday it has to be posted by pay-pal to my bank account today.. ;'( Like I said before I'm disabled with crohns disease I can send you a pic of me with my bag on my side showing and my drivers license no I'm not giving u a sob story this is the way it is folks.. I'm in debt because of a scammer, luckily he didn't get the monitor, so if anyone wants a P-Active 1910a Drawing tablet monitor cheap, hit me up, because they have sold recently on ebay for $409, I'll sell it for $300, maybe $250 but this time I must see the money in my pay-pal NO CHECKS EVER MORE! On The carts either make me an offer on each or an offer on the lot.. Thanks for listening, I don't want this to turn into a slugfest as I'm trying to sell these, thanks.

Look here what he says at the end of the conversation.. Here is your appraisal back what did you say 4 years ago, well closer to 5 now that its September, so I was close when I said 5.. He stated in the conversation above that if they are copies that nap employees made from that employee that left and went to nap, that they are still rare because noone has seen these boards / hardware combinations inside nap/probe 2000 cart cases before.
-
JLanier the person who purchased Pink Panther from me. At the end of the phone call he said I would like to give you some information on these Nap/Probe 2000 protos if you don't mind.. This is what they were really used for.. etc... Then he told me what they were worth.. Even if they are what you said, according to the people in that posting in the link above also mentioned that I should put a $75 reserve price on each cart which is almost what JLanier said so he was pretty close in his estimation. According also to that post they are still valuable, because of the boards, and hardware and the fact that they are in Nap / Probe 2000 shells. He also told me to mention the word Protos Nap/Probe 2000 in my ebay auctions. I still have those other games tucked away somewhere at my other house, I just have to find them in my mess of an ex-room. Thanks for showing me that post, I forgotten all about him appraising them also. Ken

No they are NOT pirate bootlegs.. Pirate bootlegs are copies that someone makes for either their personal use, or for selling purposes, these were carts that were used to pass back and forth between developers to learn from and to make changes on, hence the reason for the screws in the case. They were not copied by competing companies, but say developer A is working on a new game for Atari, he needs some help with sprite blits for instance, he contacts either Atari directly or asks another company that also is making carts for Atari for permission and can you send me x game code. I need to copy the blit code or I need to know what I need to add to the cart board to add the 4K extra ram. That is what these Nap/Probe 2000 carts were used for. They were obtained legally from the other companies with their permission hence is the reason why I don't understand why ebay throws a fit everytime a proto goes up for sale.. These carts were passed back and forth between various Atari sub companies so either changes could be made to a game they were working on together or passed to sub atari companies which really all worked for atari anyways as a means to learn from each other.

I have my phone with me so if u guys have anymore questions I will do my best to answer them. You'll just have to read through the spell checker errors..
-
I'm going to smoke, my nerves are shot.. I'll BRB..

Shawn u make the opening bid and Hizzy yes it is related to that. Here I'll just tell u what I was told they were worth and what I should take no less than that will make it go much easier. Now these prices were back years ago when I first sold pink panther. Back then I was told they were worth 200$ each but he said I should get no less than 100$ each for them as a quick sale. That was like 5 years or more ago. Now someone please make me a serious offer. Thanks PS. Hizzy sorry for misspelling your name, I was on my phone and it has a hair trigger spell checker ;').. I know there is one game in this collection that no prototype has been found for yet, as I checked all the names against atari protos website and 1 was not found, so it is probably worth more, but right now I'm not in the situation that allows me to sit back and hold on to it.

Long story short.. I need money people and I need it fast or the overdraft charges keep adding up each day hence the reason I had such strict reqs on the $ being in my PayPal. Which pay-pal has a dispute built right in to protect the buyer from fraudulent purchases. If I was trying to scam I would ask for cash or something like that. I have been saving these back ever since jlanier told me how much they were worth for my son's college, but I and my daughter moved out to our own apartment, were trying to make it.. We were doing good til a fake cashiers check put us in the hole. Now I'm trying to sell all the extra stuff we have just to cover charges we shouldn't have anyways... It's sickening that people would do this kind of stuff to people rather than get a job. Heck my brother works from home for Amazon as a manager now so people could sit home and do that instead of scamming other people out of there hard earned money. I'm disabled with crohns disease so I get a check once a month and this scam totally screwed us. ;'(. So I'm very sorry to have offended anyone.
-
I'm not but people can easily Google search these type of cartridges and see they all look the same 2 screw cart cases they are all the same with the weird indention on the back. Im sorry if I made anyone mad but I'm not scamming, as a matter of fact these would stay in my collection if not for me getting scammed with a fake check for my p-active 19" tablet 1910a monitor. Now my bank account is overdrawn by 144.60 on a check he wrote that bounced I got hit for overdraft charges out the wazoo. So yes I was a little livid when I try to sell my private cllection to cover it. Or me and my daughter are screwed. I know what they are worth and I know what I should take for them as jlanier advised me on these carts as well and gave me some back history on them when he purchased pink panther. You can research my name and see my past posts about pink panther up for sale on this very site. You can google my name on here and pink panther 2600 and you will find my original post on this very site with pics screenshots and all. So I'm not scamming.. I got scammed which I hate to admit. But my loss is the Atari collections people have on here's gain. ;'(. I'm sorry if I offended anyone but yes I realize people want to be sure it's real etc.. I will give anyone who wants to make me a serious offer my phone and home address and a pic of me holding my driver's license. But I will only go to those lengths for serious buyers who want the whole collection. PS. Sorry for the long post.
-
Ok, but they don't need to sit there and make fun of me and my carts, creating a mob mentality when I'm just trying to make some money for me and my daughter to survive on, Like I put in the original post if you do not know what these are please don't post.. They are real, NOT Fake, NOT Copies, well kind of copies in the since these carts were the ones used when passed back and forth between labs.. As back then they had to learn from each other, there wasn't a youtube, or even a book telling them how to do something. I know this because I already sold the most expensive one ever. Also, I'm a developer as well, on PC currently but started out on C-64's..
-
They are NOT copies someone made... That is why Pink Panther which never got released to the public showed up in the collection in the exact same cartridge type with the 2 screws etc.. Dude please.
-
These are development cartridges which were passed back and forth between different companies. They were used to test new versions of each game as they updated them. If you don't believe me, fine, I don't care.. I know someone who does know what a nap/probe 2000 prototype cartridge is. The 2 Screw Shell is how you know it is a Nap/Probe 2000 Cartridge aka a prototype. I could show you the back that has the wierd indentation thing, but you guys have already convinced me that your not sure what your looking at. I don't have to convince you, I've already sold the most expensive one to jlanier who is a member on here btw.. that is his name. He knows exactly what they are and people that know what they are looking at will buy them, so please step aside sir, and let the people who know what they are bid. Thanks for your honesty..
-
No they are prototype cartridges, I have done my research.. You are wrong I wish the idiots that don't know what they are looking at would shut up and move on..
-
Hold up.. I didn't mess up this cheap'o editor messed up.. let me try to fix it.. Yea I have 2 copies of ice hockey I told you that... So what its still 5 nap / probe 2000 prototype cartridges.
-
Yes you are the pics are with the other pics I even organized them with the same games. Refresh the page. Its the pic below the original pic.. it has the cart front, and right next to it, I turned the boards over in each cartridge..
-
reload the page... and look at the pics under each pic from before...
-
The New pics are up... They are the 2 Screw Nap Prototype cases.
-
Yes I will take pics of the back of the boards. The story on these is the same as was for the Pink Panther Proto I found, I bought a huge lot of Atari stuff from a Lady whose Husband was a developer and died. I paid $75 for the lot, 2 Atari 2600's and a boatload of Prototypes, along with alot of regular carts, controllers. YES these are NOT lab loaners they are proto's, the lot of them were verified when I brought the 4th Pink Panther Proto to light, and sold it for a pretty penny to a developer for naughty dog in california aka Johnathan Laneer I think thats how he spells his last name. I have his cell # etc.. Give me 5 Mins to pull them apart again and take pics of the backs. The procedure for all of them would be the same. Msg or email me and put Atari Protos ALL in subject and your bid in the body. Thanks, Ken

Thats right the original owner of the 4th found Pink Panther Proto, has his other nap prototype cartridges up for sale! I have the following Atari 2600 Nap/Probe 2000 Prototype cartridges for sale! Mega Mania Pac Man ICE Hockey One that is labeled Dragon Fire on the prom. Another ICE Hockey These will be sold to the highest bidder in the following manner: #1.) Highest Bidder on Each Cartridge wins that game, and it will be removed from the set and no longer available for sale. #2.) The $$$ must be deposited into my paypal account in a timely manner meaning: THE SAME DAY and By Close of Business which for these purposes will be @ 5pm CST on which day we reach a sale agreement, if it is Past 5pm CST the $$$ Must be Deposited By 12 or Noon CST The Following Day! ** IF NOT YOU LOSE THE OPTION ON THAT Cartridge and it will be placed back up for sale to the next highest bidder. ** I reserve the right to re-sell any cartridge if #2 stated above is NOT Followed. I Will Check! - This is to avoid those pesky fights over Sales Done, but I didn't deposit $$$ in time, someone else bought a cartridge, I'm going to sue you situations. I reserve the right NOT to sell if the Price doesn't reach what I know they are worth - To avoid you trying to undersell me and steal a genuine nap proto from me. Serious Purchasers ONLY Please. ** IF YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT THESE ARE PLEASE DO NOT BID OR POST ** It will just slow down the process I need the Sales to go as fast as possible.. So if someone wants to buy the whole lot, make me an offer, who knows the worse that could happen is I turn it down. I Prefer email bids which are for the entire lot, so no matter where I'm at I will get it on my phone and can see it. Private msg me on here w/ Name of Cartridge and Amount Your Willing to Pay, or you can contact me @ : storm36969@gmail.com with Subject: "Atarti Proto" and put "Name of Cartridge" & "Amount Your Willing to Pay" in the body. Pictures of Nap Cartridges Are Up for Verification Purposes, Sales are OPEN. YES They work, and have been all tested and stored very carefully after such. Just Ask Johnathan Laneer Who purchased the pink panther nap proto from me, for $2000.00 and a Playstation 3 version 1 never opened. Someone asked what are nap prototypes well here is the answer in a picture instead of 1000 words ;') PS: ** THANK YOU for Helping Us Out, As The $$$ from these are going to help My Daughter and I get the essentials for our new apartment... **

Hello, You guys wanted me to notify you when I started putting the Probe2000 Cartridges up for auction on eBay, well the first one just went up on ebay. It is Ice Hockey, that is a complete game, but was done in house at Probe2000/NAP as is evidence by the 2 screw case and the custom pcboards and chips, that have only been seen on the other prototypes created by Probe2000 also. I have verified these games as working, and have included all the pictures of the games running, and the inside of the shell, and outside as well. I have been informed by people on other atari sites to start the bidding at $250, so this is what I have done. Good Luck, I hope you guys enjoy the games, I will list and auction more, once this first auction is over, if I am satisfied. Here is the link to the auction for you hardcore Atari2600 fans.. eBay Auction -- Item Number: 290738299725 Good Luck, and I will let you know when the others come up for sale also. I am only doing this because several people were interested and wanted to know when I put them up for auction, I'm sorry if this violates the sites rules or something... StOrM3

WickeyColumbus, If I were to follow your suggestion, what do you think would be a good description to put for each cart, so people will know what they are bidding on? and a reserve price??
-
I don't think they are finished games though, cuz some of them have no title screen, no company names, or game names in the game when playing them.. Like Mega Mania, I had no idea what game it was.. Same with war-lords.. I thought it was some test game someone made to test the idea of pong with arkanoid, because no company name or game title and stuff..
