  1. Every Day Is Halloween (Competition Version) for use in Vector War X. This version disables life extends and disables all cheats. When submitting a score, please take a pic/screenshot of the high score table with "VWX HI-SCORES" visible so Helmut knows you're not cheating ;)

  2. My code reads the trackball DIR/CLK signals for each axis and updates the crosshair coordinates. Analog joystick emulation would certainly make it more compatible with games but it wouldn't be true trackball control which was the point of my hacks (and the CX-80 /CX-22 does not require any hardware hacks or adapters).

I have more trackball compatible projects coming in the future, such as this one.

  3. C-19 Music Box. Generates tinkly music-box tones from the genetic code of the Covid-19 virus. Press buttons 1 and 2 on the controller to slow down/speed up the ‘music box’. Buttons 3 and 4 transpose the the notes down/up.

  4. Graham, I don't think Big Blue uses any bankswitching. IIRC the vectors are just being drawn at a lower intensity, just dial the Vectrex brightness back a bit when you see the dot in the centre of the screen. Stramash zone is probably the same issue. Wobbly vectors will happen occasionally, especially with games such as Stramash Zone that are drawing a lot on screen.

  5. I forgot to post this here yesterday - so here's a belated Halloween gift ;)

"Skull Shot!") Supports Sega Light Phaser (with adapter) or Vectrex Light Pen in Port 2. Start the game by pressing button 3 on the Vectrex controller in Port 1 (when using lightpen) or fire on the Light Phaser. Pressing button 4 on the Vectrex controller to start allows the game to be played with an analog joystick instead of light gun/pen.

  6. Yeah, ROMs don't sell on Vectrex. I tried doing so recently as an experiment and ~10 people bought them (at $5 a pop). Vectrex is a collectors market, most people want the full box and overlay, it's unlikely I'll offer ROMs for purchase again.
