  1. I've also seen it on Vectrex games. It's likely a form of "cut-out", where items meant to be sold in a discount bin (typically records, CDs and tapes but can also be videogames) would have a hole punched in them, or corner cut off to ensure they will not be sold at full price.

    Spin-Cart

A small compilation of spinner-hacked games, including Armor Attack, Bedlam, Cosmic Chasm, Minestorm II, Solar Quest and Star Castle. Available here : https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/202381307729
  3. IIRC it ought to reset and boot into the menu once the files have transferred across.
  4. Hehe that's because Jim had next to no RAM/ROM space left when I added the sound code
  5. Added support for 2 player simultaneous play
  6. If it takes time to warm up and display, you will likely need to replace the capacitors. As the CRT display operates on high-voltage, you will need to discharge the monitor flyback before working on it or risk painful electrical shock or even death. If you are unsure, try to find an old-school tv repairman in your area to do the job for you.
  7. No ROM exists. A 'lite' edition is a possibility but would likely come after the next run.
  8. Hopefully at some point this year. But these things take time, especially the overlay printing.
  9. Hehe looks like it is worth $300 to someone There should hopefully be a reprint at some point this year, no need to pay ebay prices.
  10. Does it happen when the vecadapt is not plugged in? Permanently pressed or glitching buttons can be a sign of your sound chip failing. It's an easy fix - just replace the chip (providing your sound chip is socketed on the Vectrex PCB).

  15. The AY-38912 Sound Tool allows you to manipulate the AY sound chip registers. Can be used to check functionality of the AY chip as well as create interesting drones and live sound effects. May also prove useful for homebrew programmers to check pitch etc values when programming sound effects. Download : http://www.binarystarsoftware.com/?page_id=460
  16. Plug an Atari CX-80 or CX-22 (i think, don't have one of these to test) to Vectrex Port 2. Buttons 3 + 4 on the Vectrex controller to fire.
  17. I was talking to Sean about it just the other day. It's definitely happening.
  18. Just FYI - There is a clear shell order being organised by Sean Kelly at the moment (the order from the other thread on transparent shells).
