  1. I never heard of that game, to be honest, but I just read a review, and it sounds really interesting! Maybe I will try to get it to have something new to feed my Lynx with.
  2. The only drawback of the Jag version is the (already mentioned) fact that all enemies have only a "front view". I don't understand why id software did this, can't be due to restrictions of the hardware. It would have made this version perfect. The biggest plus however has to be emphasiszed: the Jag version has an auto map! No more getting lost in the labyrinth like corridors. This definately is a great advantage over most other versions of the game.
  3. Always great to see new stuff for my favourite handheld! Though I think I didn't get the game's point yet.
  4. Very cute game! A bit short, but hopefully the author will expand it in the future.
  5. Thanks for the hint, I can confirm that now, since I was able to explore the city a little more by "running".
  6. I was able to burn the cd and start the game, but as soon as I walk a few steps in any direction, the screen gets filled up with funny colors and the game locks up...
  7. Look at the date of the first post, the auction is nearly one year old, and Ebay only keeps ended auctions for 90 days or something like that.
  8. Wow, that looks great, reminds me alot of R-Type, X-Out and Menace, only that it looks better! Never heard of it before.
  9. That sounds very interesting! I am unable to afford a catbox, so this might be a good choice - does anyone have experiences with the dealer or the product?
  10. Some people might even say you don't need any other game than Chip's Challenge at all! Really, it's fun for hours, days, and weeks!
  11. That looks really nice! Only thing that could be improved: without the Jag-Logo, there seems to be something missing (but it must be very hard to apply, i guess).

    coding

Hey Holger, very nice looking demos! So far, I have only done pc coding, but I am interested in programming for the Jaguar as well. Maybe I will have the time in the near future. Hopefully.
  13. I already have the CD unit, but might be interested in some of the games and other stuff. Does anybody know if this shop delivers to Germany, and if so, to which price?
  14. Is there a place on the web where I can find some screenshots of "American Hero"?
  15. Really? I didn't know that! Is it the same game, or just a ripp-off with the same concept?
  16. You definitely should have a look at VidGrid, don't think you can get this for another platform.
  17. Hello everybody, as I read the post of someone in the thread about the worst Lynx titles who said he never played a ComLynx game, I was reminded that it's the same case for me. There just aren't any Lynx gamers among my buddies. However, I found out that there are some emulators for systems like the Super Nintendo / Super Famicom that allow multiplayer gaming over the internet. Hm, wouldn't this be great for a lynx emulator? Or is there already some sort of emu that allows playing Lynx games over the net? If so, I would be glad to hear about it, and if not, I would be happy if someone could code it My personal dream would of course be to (somehow) plug my real Lynx into my PC to play California Games against somebody in the world...
  18. I am not sure if this has been mentioned before somewhere, but the loading of your page is very time-consuming. This might be the case due to the fact that you only use *.bmp-images all over the page. My suggestion would be to change to a format that uses at least some sort of compression, for example gif, jpg or png.
  19. Personally, I am always hesitant to bid for a potentially pricey item that is sold by someone who only has one (1) positive feedback from a buyer, while all the other feedbacks are from sellers. So I'd rather wait until the person has gained a good reputation as a seller before bidding very high on his auctions. Just my two cents.
  20. The blue Lynx looks quite cool! If I had a spare Lynx, I might try myself A color that would look on both Lynx I and II is silver, in my opinion.
  21. That sounds really nice! Do you have a picture of the painted Lynx you could show here?
  22. Any news on that compiler? I'm just curious... would make Jag developing quite attractive for me...
  23. Sorry, my mistake. I checked again, the manual doesn't mention the overlay. I confused it with Wolfenstein...
  24. What does the manual say that came with the game? Mine explicitly mentions the overlay and even has a picture of it on one page.
