  1. I've got it! It's kind of like dance dance revolution with a joystick at the bottom, and the more consecutive correct hits you make, the longer thier middle finger grows.

That's actually a pretty cool idea. :D And when you lose, it cuts to a scene of Carl getting a moon-spanking.

  2. This game is looking fantastic so far, but that blue level is waay too hard. And I agree with Stan Jr. about the skateboard being the better of the two items. If I could somehow manage to get either of them by the time I reached the blue level the skateboard would definitly be the most useful. In place of the heli-copter, I would rather there be a jack-hammer or something which allows you to go through the platforms. Which brings me to another suggestion. How about adding the ability to jump? Sometimes that last fruit is so close yet so far away--the ability to jump would give you an extra chance to finish the set and earn the special item.

Just my two cents. Keep up the good work. :)

  3. Okay, here's how I'm picturing the"Atari Yule Log":

A festive, crackling fire in the center with a brick fireplace bordering the screen. Along the top of the screen will be a row of Christmas stockings with the Atari logo on them. I'm not sure how many different songs will be possible, but I'd personally like to hear "Silent Night".

    What do ya think?

  4. The game is really simple, and a bit silly, but theres something really addictive about it...especially when you get to burninate the village and see the peasants running around with their heads on fire! Playing it on the greatest video game system ever made would make it even better! :D :D :)

  5. I guess the game would look more like the original on the 5200, but I would still like to see a 2600 version. One because I cant find a pair of decent 5200 controllers, and two, the 2600 is my favorite :). I dont think the game is too complicated for the 2600, and I think most people would agree, that you wont find better controllers than those of the Atari 2600.

Perhaps if Mr. Slocum's HSR RPG is successful, which I'm sure it will be, he would consider "TROGDOR!" for a later project (hint hint...if you are reading this Mr. Slocum ;) )

  6. Okay, let me see if I've got this straight....PhillyClassic 5 will feature a giant monolithic shrine of 52" monitors, displaying images of peoples fat asses?! :?

Will they at least be the fat asses of former Atari programmers? :D

  7. That's actually not a bad idea...just so long as you don't have to push the button to make him run. :D

Back to the topic...BABY PAC-MAN 2600...I believe it can be done. So would anyone be interested in taking on the challenge, or am I just going to have to learn how to program?

  8. I suppose the idea is a bit bizarre, but then again, I've always thought of the 2600 as being sort of a shrine to digital strangeness. :D Afterall, only on the 2600 could there exist games based on dog food and brushing your teeth. I think Baby Pac-Man would be in good company.

  9. Exactly! It would be a matter of hacking two seperate games and putting em together to form one beautiful creation! :D Obviously the artwork on the pinball portion would most likely be eliminated, but I think (from some the amazing things I have seen from the talented people of Atariage) the general mechanics of the pinball game could be simplified for the 2600. As for the maze part...i imagine a hack of Pac-Man Junior would suffice.

As a kid this game always intrigued me...(even though I was just barely tall enough to see over the edge of the pinball table)...after I saw it again at PhillyClassic 3, and was able to actually see what was going on, I began to wonder why this game was never translated to any home console. It just seems such a waste to allow something this cool to become forgotten history. So Im just wondering...from a homebrewers point of view, is it even possible to do this? Or is it just one of those things the VCS just isn't capable of?

  10. I do mean the strange pinball/videogame hybrid! That game was so cool...I would love to see someone find some way to do it for the 2600!

Sure the maze part is doable, but that just wouldnt be the same...I think it would be awesome if when you leave the screen, it changes to a pinball simulator!!

I mean, we've already got Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man and Pac-Man Junior...all we need now is Baby Pac-Man, and Super Pac-Man!
