The main reason I want analog out is a purely practical reason. If I’m going to beat the speed-up level on Lady Bug, with the way it is currently, I have to buy a THIRD TV, in addition to a light gun TV and a 3D TV I already have. I’ll be playing musical monitors. The analog outputs do two things, allow for future Colectorvision CV light gun games, and use a cheap method of hooking up to a guaranteed low ping TV. I think my 33 mm is too much for Lady Bug, and that was good in 2012, but there’s no way to replace my 3D monitor with a Low-ping 3D monitor, even if I go on Ebay.

So the Composite and/or S-Video input can help me put off both the purchase and the day I’ll play musical monitors. But I will purchase a gaming Shutter-based 3CD Monitor, if they make such thing.

Or if they don’t an invention similar to Sega Scope 3D can add 3D to existing 2D TVs. The reason why that wasn’t pulled off yet was the problem withccompensating for ping ranging from 1 ms to 100 ms, and expecting a good 3D image on all tof them. Luckily since a light gun is turly a TIMING device in nature, and not a posiitonal device, it can be used to adjust the timing based on the TV to even more accurate than a microsecond, or 0.001 ms

And I insist on Shutter 3D. With Polar 3D, if you tilt your head more than 2 degrees, it will make a partial exposure,(Normally, it should be a total block of one of the 2 images), which causes a double image, which confuses your eyes, which causes most of the 3D nausea. My mom is a test case of 3D Nausea being almost nullified by Shutter based 3D at home vs Polar based 3D at theaters. She never took off her 3D glasses at home due to nausea. She requested to move to a 2D showing in the theater. The true test is if she can sit through the 3D version of a movie she loves in 2D, like either Frozen 3D, Tron Legacy 3D, or Incredibles 2 3D and be wowed and not nauseous.

Also the 2 biggest culprits of ping are the TV itself, and resolution change, no mater whether it’s uspscaling, downscaling, interlacing, or progressivizing, always cause delay. I have a theory that Press Your Luck for PS3 is natively 1080p, and trying to play in 480i analog adds ping as it has to both downscale and interlace. When why I can’t do m usually Press Your Luck strateguy of starring at the "always big bucks and a spin" square and pressing X the instant I see it. Ping time kills that strategy. I got the ultimate ping test. The only version I can use that strategy on was a Flash game version with a CRT monitor built into iMac. I got 150K and that is an epic feat worthy of game show history, plus Whammy was proud to say they randomized anything, so a Michael Larson pattern would no longer work, yet I was only in the top 100, so a few other people had the same strategy. By the way, #1 got a score of 10 million.

I agree game output sources ARE Zero Ping by nature, assuming you play at the default resolution. Some game may not be sophisticated enough to generate content at more than one level natively, or runs differently at 2 specific resolution and be low ping in both. if the Coleocvision is natively either 240p or 480i and the Phoenix is natively generated 1080p, 1) does it really improve the game without working off the 240p/480i master and not have ping to ruin it? and 2) even if Low Ping can be achieved with 1080p working off 240p/480i media, even with a 1 ms TV, why sabotage it when going BACK to 480i/240p. I don’t want a Composite/S-Video for their sakes. I want it because it is low ping.

What the hell is wrong with you?

  2. Just gonna leave this here.

My "childish" ranting was to make sure no one here got ripped off, nothing more.

As far as "behavior like mine," I called him out there just as I did here.

He saw fit to BUY from that marketplace and accept the deals that people were willing to go out of their way to give him, but felt he was too good to return the favor.

    Totally a "stand-up guy".

Consider the source - 'giltygear' is a member of the AA troll crew, I'd not take anything that he/she says too seriously. Misery, pot stirring, bandwagon jumping, jock riding, and more misery. Did I mention misery?

He falsely accused another member of intentional malice in his own sales thread, weeks ago - do you see any mods/staff descending on this thread to intervene in the foolishness/obvious bullying/witch hunt? I sure don't. Seems a bit one-sided and ignorant, but I suppose I'm simply seeing things that aren't really there....

    ;)

    Lol

$75 - Nightmare in the Dark (reproduction)

    This is still a bootleg.

I honestly don't see why you insist on calling this item anything OTHER than what it is - a BOOTLEG. You just keep holding on to the chance that someone will fall for your trick.

But, I guess this is who you are - a scammer. It goes along with your awful "tough guy" attitude that you seem to like to have.

It boggles my mind how anyone can trust you.

Buyer Beware when it comes to Tanooki. Seriously.

  5. Erm what? Just because that site has some close minded people who think posts need to be the size of twitter bites isn't my problem. They want to bitch let them. You're fucking hilarious if you think any of that in the least bit is wrong or especially crying. Like some forum trolls are going to make me cry, get over yourself.

The treatment he received over there was pure garbage, even quite a few members called it out as such.

I went into meltdown as you put it after repeated whiny posts and insulting little short handed barbs at any post I made that was over a sentence or two long. I'm not sorry if that bothers or offends anyone, they're not forced to read it if they don't wish, nor do they need to be complete cunts with snotty replies either. I haven't lied about anything at all. That site while having some nice people and is a good resource also 100% deserves the reputation it created. Also is being the NG Defense Force really? I just felt sorry for his rotten treatment and gave an observation, the second one you quoted is just a reply back since I agreed I'm not going to change to appease ego. Perhaps link the thread where he was tossed out and various members not being cool with it.

I just went over and saw it was brought up too, can't say I'm surprised in the least bit.

I just think it makes you a piece of shit when you'll go to another site to talk shit.

  6. I wanted to say this over at the NeoGeo forum but well, that didn't go over well. As far as the mods go there it's kind of like Fight Club, the one rule is you don't talk about (back to) the mods (or else.) I learned that one somewhat the hard way very early on there that until you're well established (years) and in the inner circle of regulars it's asking for it. I get why it was done, can't say I agree but whatever, you weren't begging for money.

I hope your project isn't just vapor and dreams, goes from what you show to a finished saleable project. I'd consider it if I ever happened across a NGPC again some day as the SD solution is far better than a 1-2 game re-writeable pain in the butt using a PC for each change. Dump what you want on a little card and done.

I don't either, but I don't mind screwing with people when they get rotten and I've had to do that over there. Apparently they have a very narrow attention span so if a post size is much longer than a couple twitter tweets strung together you get abused for that too...so I keep doing it. Concise to a point is fine, but leaving out details isn't.

Wow, could you cry any harder?

No one - ANYWHERE - wants to read replies that are as long winded as the ones that you cranked out.

You went into instant meltdown mode and started attacking the first time someone said ANYTHING to you, so don't start spreading LIES about any "abuse" that you "suffered."

    Give me a break.

  7. I have seen some of the checks Mike paid to Sean, he said I could post them, but I'll allow him to do that himself. They are three separate checks totaling $7,000 between January 8, 2016 and February 29th, 2016.

    ..Al

This is what this whole fiasco has come to? Taking pictures of checks to validate a story?

Time to lock this thread and MOVE ON.

  8. Greetings!

I don't live that far away from Amsterdam, NY where the headquarters for coleco was and I have been meaning to stop there to take a few pictures. The factory buildings and the area in general is definitely on a decline - its sad but I think its part of video game history and interesting to 'fanboys' like myself.

I was in the area and this time snapped a few pictures!

It would be cool to find original pictures taken from the 80's in the same spot for comparison.

This building I believe was the main office/administration building. It apparently has some history to it and has a cool clock tower on it. I believe it got converted to condos.

    attachicon.gifcolecofac5.jpg

This building is the corner to a series of factories that I assume was where the action happened. I'm not sure what its used for now but its certainly seen better days, you can see a garage in the foreground that is currently an auto repair shop.

    attachicon.gifcolecofac4.jpg

This building was across the street from the office/admin building - not sure if this was part of coleco or not. Its an interesting creepshow nonetheless.

    attachicon.gifcolecofac3.jpg

Got closer to the coleco sign in all its faded glory.

    attachicon.gifcolecofac2.jpg

This is to the right of the coleco sign where you can see what appears to be a series of interconnected factory buildings - which I didn't really 'explore'. There was some random guys with drinks covered in paper bags walking around which I don't think were really amused by me taking pictures around their hang out.

    attachicon.gifcolecofac1.jpg

    Hope you find these interesting!

You got an address for this? My gf is originally from Amsterdam and I've never seen this building, let alone had any idea it was there.

  9. I don't think Destiny beats the 6+ years for which PlayStation Home was in Beta . . . which only ended because PS Home shut down!

Lately, I haven't been playing any PS3 games. I seem to have a thing for the obsolete: when PS Home was soon to close, I spent time in there, and now that PS Mobile has recently closed, I'm spending time playing PS Mobile games. And man, you should have seen me playing Folding@Home when the PS3 servers were being shut down. Contributing work units like no tomorrow! Because there was, y'know, no tomorrow.

    onmode-ky

So I just happened to go onto Home on the last day after not logging for gawd-knows-how-many-years. After the ridiculous amount of updates and downloading, I finally managed to get into the bowling alley, played 3 frames, said "good riddance," and quit.
