  1. really... i see that game every now and then but figure it sounds more like a tactical RPG then a rogue-like. might be time to pick this up
  2. Oh Sony... When will it ever work for you?!
  3. I had a 10 minute conversation with Seaman when it was all grown up. after that the novelty wore off for me. a week later i fired it up again to see what it was up to, and leonard nimoy told me "your seaman has died" ::turns system off::
  4. I'm not saying dont be stoked about the trade - i was under the assumption that the those were the prices the dealer quoted you
  5. What the hell is a lightspan collection? thats a good deal?! dude, check your prices, you got RIPPED! Those games COMBINED do NOT cost $150.
  6. eants to know where the FUCK do you buy Samurai Shodown for $150 and expect it to be a good deal?!

  8. There are custom firmwares out now that allow you to go onto the PSN store and buy games. usually sony had that on lockdown, but theres ways around everything. if youre buying a used one (the old phat version) and want to get it modded, check the firmware version. go into SYSTEM>SYSTEM SETTINGS>SYSTEM INFORMATION and it will state what firmware its using. generally, the lower the better. if you find one thats 5.00 and up (especially 6.00), then youre going to run into a problem because there are extra steps needed to downgrade, and then upgrade again to custom firmware. thankfully, tho, theyre not that difficult providing you can follow directions; just somewhat time consuming. if youre going to go slim, take shadow460's advice. personally, i prefer the phat model. i modded the d-pad slighty so it works better with fighters - now its like the stock slim's d-pad just a few helpful hints that saved me quite a few times from turning my psp into a useless brick: 1)recovery menus are your friend 2)MAKE BACKUPS 3)DON'T WRITE ANYTHING TO FLASH0!
  9. is it sad that i look back at the days they officially killed the saturn and the DC like looking back on a loved one dying?
  10. damn you and these games! i dont have an answer for this one - it looks REALLY familiar, but cant place the name or the system keep em coming tho... these make my brain work
  11. i dont know the game, but im gonna take a stab and say that its for the wonderswan?
  12. i made the switch to hdtv not too long ago. ive come to take the good with the bad with my new tv. most of my systems work fine with some sligth graphics issues here and there but nothing that affects gameplay. the tv has vga so it doubles as my PC monitor so if worse comes to worse i can turn to emulation if it becomes a serious issue
  13. It would be great if it was something like PCEDaisakusen.net where when you click on a game, the information (year released, screenshots, general info, reviews, etc.) is contained therein, along with the names of other people who own the game, to give an idea of rarity Example: a list of NES games, you click on "kung fu." On the page that comes up, you see screens, box art (front and back), year of release, etc. halfway down the page, theres a "user rating" (the average of all the users who have rated the game), and any reviews that people have written up. What works for one system-specific site, may work for something ike this as long as all the information is organized. i for one would love to have a centralized place in which to keep track of all the games i own. especially if its a site im going to visit often
  14. You can whip in the air, you just cant change direction in mid-air...
  15. i cant remember if it was the old starcade hotline or the number that was on nick arcade, but me and a buddy were sitting around bored one night, saw that number, and called it. the guy that answered the phone said that the call was being recorded, so i panicked and hung up
  16. a freind of mine just got an NEX and is extremly happy with it. for the money people wanted for a toploader (he wanted an 8-bit system with a small footprint), i suggested that to him and he was able to find one cheap. i was able to mess around with it for a while when he got it. i like the ability to play famicom games. i actually might get one of those myself - save me the trouble of tracking down an actual famicom system
  17. thats funny. i still have the copy of super mario 3 my parents got me for my birthday after it came out, and the TRU that they got it at is STILL there... i should try to get the $80 or so that they paid for it... ya know, just to be a dick
  18. 10 years, still working like i just took it out of the box. still have that box, too:thumbsup: Weve been through a lot together: college, evil women, good women, booze, emulation, storage, moving, smoking habits, drinking, fighting, shooting, working (shenmue), and the like. met a lot of really good freinds because of that system - both online AND off. long live the swirl!
  19. i thought that mini-game one was the game
  20. according to system16.com and KLOV, MTV had the only version of this game in their main lobby and sold it to some charity a couple of years back. my guess is no one dumped the roms.
  21. I have a question... Isn't this the same magazine that had a retrospective on the metal slug series, and when the writer was called out on it on neogeo.com, proceeded to whine, bitch, attack people's opinions, and generally act like a child because he didnt want to admit his mistakes? Here's the incident I speak of I dunno, thats the feeling that i got
