crash crash crash crash crash crash crash......
Will never happen. Shelfqueens, collectards, hoarders, and flippers have destroyed this hobby well beyond the point of saving.
As far as YouTube "celebrities" are concerned, they are some of the most vain, narsissistic people that I have ever seen, and they all seem to follow the same formula, with some variations here and there.
-Elaborate opening made in Final Cut Pro and/or some attempt at "humor", accompanied by awful chiptune "music"
-Someone (more often than not, a male) stands in front of a wall of games, a green screen, their game room, or some combination thereof
-They review some old game (most likely a Nintendo game) and call it "retro" (grating my fucking nerves)
-Footage is shown of the game being played by them with NO proficiency shown whatsoever
-A plea for likes, comments, descriptions, tweets, FB posts, smoke signals, or (my new favorite) kickstarter or paetron donations. Because i want to pay YOU to do this
-Overly-elaborate ending with a credit roll (this isnt a movie, just stop)
Sometimes, replace the game with a movie.
Oh, and don't forget to be "angry" and swear a lot. No one does that. Ever.

I think they mixed things up... wasn't Gimdo the bad guys from part 2? Part 1 was the organization Geldra....
RT 1: GELDRA was the organization, Mabu was the leader (final boss)
RT 2: NEO GELDRA was the organization, Gimdo was the leader
RT 3 takes place during RT 2. Dread was 2nd in command to Gimdo. Story-wise, 2 and 3 happen at the same time.
I wish they would make another one.

At a Jordan Marsh in a strip mall. The videogame section for that particular store consisted of a fold out table with four NES games. I miss those days.

So, ultimately, this thread serves to tell people how to open boxes, and then how to put the games back in the boxes?
-
Burnout 3 was the peak - It was still fun and playable, even tho EA had their dirty mitts on it. Paradise feels a lot like a souless version of Burnout 3.
I usually just throw games I don't want in the box with what ever I've sold. Kinda like a free gift.

One man's garbage is another man's gold!
Never touch another man's rhubarb.
Did the Saturn wheel work?

It doesn't bother me cuz I attend arcade tournaments and expos where everyone knows who you are. Which is why I laugh when you guys say "who are you?"
I was being serious.
Do you often introduce yourself as a "youtube star" to people you meet?
-
Man I can't go anywhere without people hounding me for an autograph or photograph.
Who are you?

First of all, you’re going to laugh, but the main reason I want to get a Saturn is to play Final Fight Revenge.
You must also enjoy throwing money in the trash.

Is it that 'easy' to fix? My PS3 Fat died earlier this year so I got a nice slim to replace it (the super slim's 'sliding CD cover' is an abomination unto the Lord). I actually like the slim better than the Fat since it runs much MUCH quieter, but of course it can play PS2 games. I still have my fat and I've wanted to fix it but I assumed I had to resolder something. If all I have to do is reapply the thermal paste then I might want to try repairing it.
Its a temporary fix. You're going to have to do it again. Have the motherboard reballed and you'll be fine.
-
This is the "sunset" period for the PS3. NOW is the time to pick up the games you've been meaning to get as theyre starting to get marked way down.
-
I can get this code to work.
Throw it in the trash.
Srsly. That game is awful.

Aye Mateys, I know 'ye be knowing the feeling I'm talkin' about. That unmistakable feelin' of playing Super Mario Brothers on the NES for the first time and feeling that amazing rush of "awe" come over 'ye as 'ye explore the mushroom kingdom for the first time. I remember being a young skallywag back in the late 80's when I first experienced the game and I'll never forget the night I brought home me' booty from the toy store which consisted of an NES (with Mario/Duck Hunt) and Skate or Die. I played Mario for hours and hours before even touching the other two games and to this day the good captain still regard that special feeling as the single most important moment in me' entire video gaming life. I actually had the pleasure of playing Super Mario Brothers in the arcade back in the late 80's as well, which took me by surprise when I saw it at an ol' pizza shop back by the port where we kept the S.S Retro because I thought it was console only. Ah, the sweet innocence of being a child back before the days of the internet. If you get a chance than by all means check out my piratey-esq review of SMB over @ http://capnnostalgia.blogspot.com fer' those who be interested. I was lucky enough to own it twice back in the day, one as a single cart and the other couples with Duck Hunt, I sadly never had the triple cart with the racing/triathlon game.
What kind of experiences do 'ye folks have with Super Mario Brothers on the NES? I'm sure many folks postin' here in the retro section of the forum be' around 30+, so many of you landlubbers should know these memories and feelin's in which Cap'n Nostalgia be talkin'. One thing the cap'n loves is how Nintendo has done a good job at keeping their classics games relevant in today's market with their virtual console on Wii, Wii-U, and 3DS, and how they find ways to bring these classics back time after time for new generations of treasure hunters to enjoy. And now they've brought back the Nintendo World Championships after 25 years or so with the NEX Remix release for the Wii-U and now gamers of all ages will be either discovering these classics for the first time or rekindling an ol' flame. The cap'n applauds the big "N" for their efforts.
Arrrgggh mateys, that be all from Cap'n Nostalgia fer now. Get back to work, the lot of ya!
Why are you talking like this?

Metal Gear Solid was amazing, and still is. It and VR Missions I played the hell out of back in the day. When I got to Metal Gear Solid 2, while I beat it, I hated it. I only then went back to play the NES games, and though I'm more an 8bit gamer than a modern gamer, I just couldn't get into them. I waited a couple years and tried again, and I still am not a fan. I don't know what exactly it is about them, but they do nothing for me. Recently they went on the chopping block. Only the two PS1 games I've decided to keep. The rest of the series is too unappealing or too bizarre for me to want to play.

As much as I love the 2600, this Yahoo article is on point.
