  1. Ya, since this is the classic gaming section, it might have been better if I made it 3 Cartridges. I bet we would have seen some compilations, because I would probably add Super Mario All Stars to mine if that was the case.
  2. -Tempest 2000 (Jag) -Castlevania III Dracula's Curse (NES) -Tetris This is hard, because Tetris is not one of my favorites of all time, but a puzzle game makes so much sense, and something you can play endlessly. So I have a shooter, a platformer/adventure game and a puzzler.
  3. There's also a Super Pinball Action. EDIT: I should have kept reading, you found this out already.
  4. Here's some more cabinet fantasizing from me. Since the graphics tech is improving, as we've seen with the Ridge Racer cab, that shows 3D is possible. Since Midway is a strong license, and oft used so far, what are the chances of a Gauntlet Legends 4 player cab? Frankly, I'm shocked there hasn't already been a 4 player Gauntlet I/II cab.
  5. Or, many games simply let you customize the button layout. There are many control layouts any individual player might find best suited for them. I prefer the way Super Smash TV was implemented on the SNES. That could easily be worked on a Pro Controller. Jaguar Total Carnage missed on that opportunity, much to my dismay. It's nonsensical to not have customizable button layouts, especially with an 18 button controller!
  6. I played my pinball machine for 4 hours today. This is easily the best purchase I've made so far.
  7. Certainly The chrome polish isn't quite showing up nice on all the pictures, but some are, anyway: Side view Front view Backlit back glass: Table view: Coin slot view: Another side view with backglass side: And just to update, here's the state of the arcade, the games wrap around 3 walls of the room (note where Tempest is for reference)
  8. I received and assembled the Attack From Mars pinball machine from A1UP. Guys, this thing is nice! What a perfect compliment to my other arcade machines too. I've seen some of the complaints, and yeah, the color depth of the screen could be better, but it still looks good, it is in HD (there's an HDMI cable that runs the video). The audio is fantastic, definitely the best of all the machines so far, because frankly, some of the upright cabs have terrible audio (My new T2 is the weakest so far), but this pinball machine has loud and clear audio. Not a ton of bass, but that's absent in every cab I've bought. The only complaint I would say right now, is the audio is out of sync a bit with the solenoids. You'll feel the solenoid pop when you press the flipper buttons (which is really cool!), but a fraction of a second later you hear the audio version of the flipper noise, so it's like you hear the flippers twice. Back to the good stuff, I love the polished steel look to all the trim and the legs, very fancy. And the screen shield is really clear, almost looks like glass. It also has my favorite pinball game of all time with High Speed II The Getaway, and that was a big factor in my decision to purchase this unit. I'm going to have so much fun with this thing. Awesome purchase, I would recommend to anyone that likes 90's pinball!
  9. Has there been any more reports of problems with the TRON joystick? Such as, have they been breaking off en masse?
  10. I have a Topmax Arcade stick for the system, and it really sucks! So, I'm looking into getting a different stick, but there are very limited options out there. The Japanese stick seems in abundance though, but a bit more pricey: Will this work on a US console?
  11. I'm truly interested in WWF Royal Rumble because it's from THQ, and I was curious if it is as good as their N64 wrestling games? The other one, WWF Attitude is from Acclaim, and their track record with wrestling isn't great, so my suspicion is that this is a lesser offering. I'm not really interested in the ECW Hardcore game on the system, just because I probably wouldn't know the roster.
  12. Well, he's got us maybe. I know I've played thousands of games of JAM and Hangtime and never seen Shaq either. Unless Tournament Edition is JAMMING me up with confusion.
  13. Good news! Got my T2 guns working perfect. It was my fault, there is a switch for the vibration on the gun itself. Here's some pictures of the assembly if anyone is interested: Here's the box, came in very good condition, not beat up, very happy with that: Here's the contents, very smartly packed as usual: This was the only assembly hiccup. One of the sides did not align %100, the dowel holes were not perfect. But it did not end up affecting the final assembly. Here's the switch on the gun that turns on/off the vibration function. Since it's all the same color it was easily missed (and I had earlier in the day had my eyes dilated from an eye exam, so my focus wasn't all there): Here's the final assembly. It's certainly an eye catcher, and you can see it towers over the Tempest: I hope you enjoyed the pictures.
  14. Shaquille O'Neill was never in any NBA JAM or NBA Hangtime game. Strange endorsement.
  15. I received my T2 yesterday, and just finished building it an hour ago. I had to submit a trouble ticket because the feedback isn't working at all on the Blue gun, and with the Red gun it is struggling. The machine overall is nice looking at least. So, just waiting for help from A1up for now.
  16. There's texture mapping in I-WAR? I thought it was all flat shaded polys. I've always liked the way it looks anyway.
  17. Well this was discussed a few pages back. A1UP certainly has the Midway license, so I personally think Super Sprint/Badlands is a possibility. Will I get what I hope for? Most certainly not! Lol. Hard Drivin/Race Drivin IMHO is a problem because what made those special were the extravagant controls and environmental cabinet. They had full range gear shift with clutch, plus the strongest force feedback steering ever made (which often broke). It was a true driving simulator.
  18. Yeah I've never seen that before so I definitely jumped to conclusions a bit, though I still think my criticism is mostly valid.
  19. I'm really disappointed with the 2022 A1UP offerings so far, I must say. Even though there are improved cab designs with the Centipede and MK cabs for instance, every offering so far has basically been a re-skin. The Golden Tee Pro is exciting, but that's also not featuring much beyond a better cab design. The new Killer Instinct Pro is kind of a slap in the face if you pre-ordered the first version. A new MK3 re-skin? Meh, it'll have the same games as the other Midway Legacy cabs including the same broken Paperboy game. Is there no longer a license with Capcom? Because that's the only legacy cab that hasn't seen any re-skin, and it also happens to be the only one that is sold out everywhere.
  20. Oh c'mon man, I know it's a subjective opinion, but that doesn't look awesome. What it looks like is a cobbled together unit made out of spare parts including the cabinet of Pacman 40th anniversary, the Super Pacman marquee from the Sam's Club special, and the monitor from the Namco Legacy cab, and topped off with extra mismatched Pacman decals. i would never advertise this thing openly. I'm certainly no A1UP hater. This is the worst concept I've seen from them, unless this is being handled by Walmart marketing department, that could explain it.
  21. And it has a Pac-Man frame around the monitor. It's a frankenstein. I think here is a cab uglier than the Frogger.
