  1. I really hope that MS puts a brand new effort into getting Diablo 4 made. I understand that the team behind that game all quit or stopped coding it entirely, plus the Mobile version of Diablo stopped getting any development ( I don't care about that one, though). I was looking forward to getting a new Diablo game for the Series X, but I don't see that happening now, any existing Diablo 4 code is probably way outdated and it needs a ground up renewal.
  2. Well done on the topic OP! I always thought the Lynx and Jaguar libraries being like this was done on purpose. I mean, you have a pretty limited amount of games, especially with the Jaguar, and yet somehow almost every letter of the alphabet was represented. I don't believe for a second this was just a coincidence, there was some marketing strategy behind it.
  3. Added Deathsmiles for the X360.
  4. The thing is, you don't know how other people treat their games. Some breakage could be from abuse. I'm not going to claim it's %100, because I'm in no position to know, but from my experience I've seen some *ahem*, very 'animated' gents play their vidya games. Some people just don't realize how much pressure they're putting on the controls. Especially if there are kids in the house, who knows what happens. It's probably legit claims for the most part, I mean these things are made in China the cheapest way possible. I haven't personally had any trouble with any of my cabs as of yet. Let's hope you don't either. I'm personally concerned about the upcoming T2 cab, because the guns have some kind of force feedback to them, and triggers, so I'm facing a real test of durability coming up.
  5. I think he tries to get real software when possible. Years ago, I made a trade with him. His reviews of 7800 Kung Fu Master and Touchdown Football were from 'my games'. I've been following his website since I first became a netizen with a WebTV. He's a good guy and I only rarely strongly disagree with his reviews. I think sometimes he doesn't understand the concepts of particular games and gives them a terrible review and score. Warbirds and Slime World being good examples. jag Blue Lightning, however, is a terrible game. Embarrassing, really, for a title that should have been showing off that $250 piece of hardware you just purchased.
  6. A pleasure to deal with, multiple times!
  7. To be fair, from what I've seen, A1UP has received tremendous amounts of negative backlash on their previous lines. That's more of a problem with the internet in general, a few loud complainers get undeserved influence on (you name it). Now that they are addressing the noisiest of complaints, like the non-Happ controls, flat control decks, well the product is going to cost more.
  8. It hasn't been mentioned yet, but did you notice the control panels are sloped now? That's a good development.
  9. Dang it! I keep getting my butt kicked on Military Base secret level of Jaguar DOOM

  10. Sometimes, like with Rygar, I just assume the first screenshot with the 5 slots, was the state of the game when it was taken. Then somewhere, to be able to finish the game, a power up had to be removed (for reasons I have no idea). Of course it could be a bullshot too.
  11. Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who bought from this thread. You made my year a good one, as I was able to use the money I made to buy a bunch of Arcade games for my basement gameroom. I think I left feedback for every customer, if I missed yours it was not on purpose. THANK YOU! and Happy New Year! Thread is still open for business.
  12. I always forget Pole Position is Namco, because I'm so used to playing all iterations of it on my Atari consoles. I just associate it with Atari. Super Sprint/Championship Sprint, yes Atari Games and Midway. So that wouldn't leave many options beyond Badlands.
  13. Well, I didn't like his tone. Basically though, it boils down to is it really a bullshot if a prototype or WIP screenshot was released in some flyer? I like the examples given earlier in the thread, where the final product clearly shows discrepancy from the screenshot on the box. That's all I'm getting at.
  14. After some more thought, you wouldn't really need Super Sprint if Championship Sprint was there. You would want the cab to remain 2 players I would think. The only real difference is a few track patterns, and Championship Sprint has the Fast Helicopter power up vs. More Score on SS. Badlands would be a superior game in favor of Super Sprint. I also wonder if the control panel would be too encumbered by the presence of two 4-speed shifters for Pole Position 1 & 2. The original Sprint games also had the same shifter IIRC. I'm just thinking of the physical engineering to keep the cab to scale with the rest of the series. I'm not even sure if there are licensing conflicts between Pole Position and the Sprint games.
  15. I didn't notice that. The game is so shitty, I haven't spent much time with it in 30 years to give a crap if there was a few more details in a promotional picture. It's not nearly the great example that others have provided from the old days. Also, since it's not on the final released product, you know, as an actual screenshot on the game box, it's not the same thing. A person could not purchase the game when that promotional material was printed. Yeah, it kind of does matter. If you want to be a stubborn mule, then I can claim that advertisement is for a fictional never released game called Checkered Flag II for the Atari Jaguar. Was there ever a Checkered Flag II for the Jaguar? Maybe there was development on CFII that nobody knows about. Screens of Vindicators and Rolling Thunder showed up in a promotional flyer for the LYNX, but never got finished products. Either way, your example isn't a convincing bullshot. The screenshot in question is for an unreleased/never released/fictional game and no consumers were juked out of any money because of it.
  16. They would be doing everyone a big favor to finally reproduce the Super Sprint steering wheels. I could fathom a Pole Position I/II, Sprint 2, Super Sprint/ Championship Sprint cab. BUT, the pedals would have to be much higher quality as they take a big beating on these games.
  17. I don't see that as a bullshot. Checkered Flag was first on LYNX, so they probably hadn't settled on the official title for the Jaguar game yet. Ultra 'Vortex' springs to mind.
