  1. It is very simple: BSRSteve said it himself: Bootleg, first official release. Yeah, there was a release, but he is not shy to remind us, that his is the only legit stuff. And then limits it to that pathetic numbers. I bought the first three releases, even if I had them all already, because I was interessted in buying the "real" stuff. This ended now, since the BSR prooved yes again, that they are not able to work with custumers. Its ridiculous to make such release numbers and the explanation is just awful. Artifical hype and stupid expensive reseller-prices are the result. Worst publisher for this console, and thats a pretty tough achievement. And with that I am out of this thread. So sick of this kind of business.
  2. So yet again an incredible rare item. Count me out, sick of this stuff. Make them available for all people who are interessted, that is fan service. This here is nothing else then artificial hype. Sad to see that the license holders are doing this again and again, nothing learned out of the Blix (or whatever that crap game was called) fiasco.
  3. Amico has not even 20k Followers, we will see how that converts into sales. And Amico is a different story. As a Intellivision Collector I dont care how Amico sells, because its not the Intellivision. To be honest, I dont even know that the heck it is, something like the new Atari VCS? I dont see the market for that, but we will see how it goes in a few month I guess. @mr_me If you are talking about originak Homebrews: Probably pretty bad. And I doubt a publisher will sell them for just 3 bucks, but even if: The Collectors often dont even care about the game, it goes into the shelf and thats it. And for a new console the limitations of a 40 year old system would be pretty terrible to attract customers.
  4. Well, in fact its pretty true. If 10 SNES collectors pass away nothing changes, of 10 Intellivision collectors do so, you will notice the shrinking market. And I said it years before and I stand to my statement: The rising popularity was a curse in disguise. Yeah, we got many games and yes, some were pretty good. Bust many were not and even more could be good, but were rushed out with HUGE flaws and ruined the trust in the market. We also had anough other stuff happens, that ruined trust. The scene seemed to be pretty nice some years ago, easy money for unpolished games. Unfortunately that thinned out the buying potential for awesome games as well, because in the time when everybody and his mother started to release games many people lose their interesst, because it was hard, if not impossible to get hands on all new games. Some even were not in public sale, there were PN groups to get hands on some titles. Some of the publishers did that with honest good intentions, some clearly had a quick moneygrab in mind, but in the end it doesnt even matter, because both harmed market in my opinion. And today we get one shitty overprized release from Italy after another. Its ridiculous, quality is from okay to rubbish, more often the last category. So yeah, I would say there are many factors why the market will die or is already pretty dead. It didnt had a good chance anyway to last forever (INTV will be a damn small niche in a niche), but maybe the greed of some and greenness of others killed it even faster.
  5. Well, to be honest: I guess the demant for games for the old console is shrinking as well, too many and too few collectors. Even the few awesome games are having trouble to sell well. I guess the market will be dead in a few years.
  6. Personally, I couldnt care less for Amico. So it changes nothing for me.
  7. I am from Germany and here is my point of view: I also had to go to the customs, but thats the deal I accept when I import stuff. It doesnt matter what you write on the label, sometimes you have to go to the office and proof your purchase. If you can not handle that there are two options: Quit importing stuff, oder paying DHL to do the paperwork for you. Second option means a bit delay and extra costs, but it spares you time and the way to the office. So I would prefer if nothing get changed, because its not worth to put thoughts into a random controlling system.
  8. Hm, so I am not 100% sure if I get it right: If I have a cart I could get the rest next year, so far so good, but because the carts are not longer sold: Will there be a complete version post Portland available? Because I have no cart and if the train left the station to get my hands on a boxed copy it would be a bit sad.
  9. Got the game today, but I was just able to start it a bit, not really getting how to play it. It really looks amazing, many nice graphics and even animated fire!
  10. The problem is: I dont want to spend money on shipping for a cart and again money on shipping the box. So I would definitely buy a CiB Copy of TNT Cowboy and probably also of the other two games (but just 90%). If Elektronite would say definitely "there are no boxes" and that would stand as a final word I also would buy a cart only, better than nothing, but I really would appreciate a boxed version. The situation is pretty unlucky for both sides: You are waiting for sales and I am waiting on a final word about the future of the stuff and I am really not comfortable with buying my games in pieces. Importing stuff costs money, time and risk of damage every time. It would be great if there would be a better solution, so maybe... pre orders? I totally get why sellers are not very happy with that, but Elektronite made its name as trustable, so for me the situation is completely different and as a customer I would prefer a CiB pre order instead of buying in chunks. Edit: And to be honest: If the "final word" would say "no boxes", I buy the game and out of nowhere there would be boxes, because the game sold well, I would also not be happy with it, because of all the reasons above I rather have a clear and honest information than getting wrong information to get me into buying someting.
  11. This is the Key-Sentence. No secondary market needed, just patience. Its okay for me to wait, I have no Facebook, so I hope I get the news in time next time.
  12. I am confused, is this just the first batch and more are coming later, or is the sale done with 35 copies?
  13. Not interessted. I dont think Intellivision Sounds are that good to stand alone as a nice music. But thats just my opinion, make a limited release with serials and you sure find some buyers.
  14. Got my three games today, thank you very much! Short question about the silver sticker ob the back: Is that the serial? All of my games say "BSR-120", so I have #120 for each of them? I am not sure if that is the correct interpretation, because it was the first batch and as far as I know it was a lot less then 120 copies ^^
  15. Funny Idea: If you write in your "PM sent" message the stuff you are interessted in it would be obvious for everybody what a PM is useful for and what is already gone away
  16. I think the only legitimate games are the ones that came with your console, so the games that were bundled. All the rest is just not the real deal and completely fake
  17. Not original, just released by the copyright holders and licensed. Wait... I wonder why we call anything Post Mattel original then, may we should shrink the official collection just to the Mattel branded games. Edit: The funny part is: If the BSR would have released that stuff in the mid 90s, before the whole "platinum club" became a thing, everyone here would say "yay, re-release, just like many other games" and we would talk about 127 official releases at least.
  18. I guess its too late to worry, but still I doubt it will be taken care of. So Game Factory just stays a not working piece of plastic in my shelf. Deal, as a serious collector I dont care of the stuff is actually working or not :D
  19. Ask them. But its very good that its Spiker and not Blix, because Spiker is an actual good game and I own it, so my whole point of view has a better ground and doesnt looks like I am trying to legitimate my collection And I am collector and gamer, I dont really care for ROM only releases (so I hope TNT gets a CiB release). As far as I remember our paths crossed already in the HSC area some years ago. So you may have noticed that I am not just interessted in more boxes for my shelf. That is the reason why I stopped to buy all homebrews, because more and more of them just are not good. Rushed out, low quality control. But its fine, because most people dont actual play the games they are paying for, so why bother into making them good.
  20. Yet again your "serious collector" is wrong and arrogant, but the second part is true at least. While I dont know about the licenses for the mentioned games, at least Deep Pockets and King of the Mountain have to be bought in the official version to be in a full set. And if the others are licensed its true for them as well. And here the bummer: Blix. Wasnt that from the BSRs? If yes, there is a very small limit for people who can get a real full set. But its sad that instead of joy about the release of a much overpriced game its just more sad try to protect the status of be something special for owning a old copy. Yeah, feel free to think so, but you will never be the authority to determine who a serious collector is and who not. But to be honest: I never expeted anything else, most of the so called "serious collectors" do not even care about the game, they just buy it for display.
