  1. Where abouts in the UK are you? I have about 300 duplicates for sale, a lot of them boxed. Most are pretty common but some rarer titles.
  2. Nobody wanted it. Went for 11 quid!!
  3. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...A:IT&ih=017 I was going to bid to buy and sell on as it's not advertised as what it is but really can't be bothered, anyone here interested?
  4. I hate having to lean back to read the screen.
  5. Yep, I always ask 'How much for all of it'. I put the commons on my garage sale or send them to Al for homebrews. If you start sorting things out, it often prompts the seller to look more closely themselves. Also, I've found that having some commons at my garage sale with 25 cents or 50 cents on them sparks conversations and often prompts people to drag their old stuff out of the attic for me to buy. Believe me on first impressions it was a pile of shite, broken controllers and various leads with a couple of carts in the bottom, i'd already laughed off his £20 price as being ridiculous. Turns out one of his friends had been sales director for Atari in the UK and had given him all this stuff in the early '80s.
  6. This happened to me, 2 lab loaners and a box of crap controllers and other bits and pieces. I really didn't need the large box of shite so sorted out the 2 i wanted and a couple of others to hide them under and he started looking at them!! He said earlier i could have had the whole box for £20 but it looked like rubbish till i started looking, god how i wish i'd taken his first price as he ended up charging me £15 for the ones i'd picked out and he found 2 more loaner carts in the box which he refused to sell me. You live and learn i guess.
  7. I'm not, i was merely pointing out that a lot of items end early, i don't think i'll bother next time.
  8. Everytime something good appears it rarely lasts more than a couple of days.
  9. This year so far has yielded a very important find for me....I'm not the only collector in my area. I now have some pretty fierce competition.... That's why i stopped, way too much competition and prices were higher for that reason.
  10. Have a look here, best stuff i ever found at a sale. £10 for the 3 items but he later told me he'd found 2 others but was going to hold onto them, he even showed them to me to rub it in.
  11. yep, it was/is this one Oh dear, you must have been one of the 10 people who bought one new. I have quite fond memories of the 400 actually, my uncle had one, must be a leaning towards crap keyboards.
  12. LOL!! I found that one as well and chose to ignore it.
  13. So what if it had better sound......oooo, it's like it's 20 odd years ago again. I refuse to rise to your baiting, we both know which was the better machine. http://www.alfonsomartone.itb.it/fztsmo.html http://wayoftherodent.com/features/64%201%20spectrum.htm and this one had it as a draw... http://everything2.com/e2node/ZX%2520Spect...ommodore%252064
  14. Why? Best keyboard in the world. In all honesty it was no competition for me, don't know why but i never went near a C64.
  15. I can't believe how much we used to get wound up with 64/Speccy arguements at school.....64's still shite.
  16. Probably Sinclair Spectrum +2/3 or an Amstrad CPC , can't think of any others with built in cassette decks.
  17. I was joking you know.
  18. I've got three of these in a box somewhere. He's even got a reserve on it.
  19. Don't know about the postal service over there but in the UK more and more are closing every week which leads to queues so it means taking half an hour on a Saturday morning which surely justifies a couple of quid, unfortunately if you don't like the charges then don't bid.
  20. I might end up sleeping with them but needs must and all that.
  21. That's over 10 years but i have to say i've been pretty lucky, couple of lab loaners etc. Never paid more than £5 for one either just had to have them.
  22. Thanks, sh*t happens, pick yourself up and get on with it.
  23. You missed Glen Campbell, the cymbal playing monkey and the scary Peruvian rapist/wrestling balaclava. I really must pay more attention to the backgrounds in my photos.
  24. Another bonus is finding a couple of mint Vectrex controllers.
  25. Due to an unfortunate breakdown of a 10 year relaitonship i have to pack up and move on, i knew i'd hoarded a lot over the years but this is what i found in the spare room when clearing it out!! Over the past ten years i've bought every Atari i've seen at boot sales, around 20 in total including a couple of PAL heavy sixers!! I've got so much stuff and have 2 weeks to find somewhere to keep it!!
