    PAL i know but not seen very often on ebay, i really don't have the cash otherwise it'd be mine.

    I've seen 4 lab loaners in the wild in the UK, 2 of which i bought.

    I found a lab loaner of the same title in the UK, had NTSC typed on the label and came from the sales manager in the UK apparently, unfortunately the seller wouldn't let me have it after i picked out 2 other lab loaners. The other 2 lab loaners never showed up on ebay either, even though he said they would.

    That's a shame, i thought most new tvs would have an NTSC setting, obviously not. You've probably bought the only one that hasn't.

    I've got a Sears 2600 and just plugged it in and used it, had no problems. Try it and it might work before you start fiddling about with it. I'm in the UK as well by the way. Just tested Chase the Chuckwagon and everything is fine, set the telly to NTSC (although i think most modern TVs do that automatically) and search the channels, mine appeared in 36. Good luck.
