  1. Via Sega Saturn Williams Classics disc: Robotron (30 mins) Joust (45 mins) Defender (30 mins) Defender II (15 mins) Bubbles (15 mins) Atari 5200 Megamania (30 mins)
  2. Do you mean this ? How curious! Actually, Atari has used that image for years in their IP catalog, I think somebody never realized it wasn't their 2600 Adventure II game which Curt Vendel's team programmed for the Flashback.
  3. I’ve been playing the digital eclipse Wiliams arcade classics games all afternoon. Robotron, defender, defender two, joust, bubbles. Great fun and I like the old Cinepak quality interviews with Larry and Eugene too. ?
  4. As far as I know, the game isn’t on this compilation. Nobody from Digital Eclipse ever broached the subject to me. At this point, the XE version would be the better version to put on any compilation or store anyway, as it has more content, an improved engine, and a few bug fixes.
  5. It looks like an homage to NiGHTS Into Dreams.
  6. Yes, much improved! I played another round up to 44,000 points and it played well and was a fresh take on Pitfall. Thanks for the hack!
  7. I guess this is what it looks like? https://www.tweaktown.com/news/87144/long-lost-atari-game-airworld-appears-out-of-thin-air/index.html
  8. Nice, I played a few rounds, but your graphics make some enemies very hard to jump over, if its even possible. Sandman is difficult to clear, but the things that used to be scorpions in the tunnels are practically impossible to clear now. I successfully jumped over a scorpion once and failed like 20 other attempts. I'd suggest if nothing else, change the scorpions graphic and make it less wide at the top. [EDIT] - now the doc ocks have been made smaller and more fair to jump over, thanks!
  9. 72,950. I'm playing on Altirra using the keyboard arrow keys. Not going to do much better unless I play with a stick.
  10. I'm always surprised when I see well-kept packaging like this, looks not a day older than 1995.
  11. I must have seen the first intermission, but since I'm unfamiliar, I'd never have know you adding these things yourself. Will play some more today. Side note, it is a bit disappointing to add little cool things to a game, only for nobody to ever mention them.
  12. I'd play any of the Realsports games. It was add a new aspect to this season. The biggest blowout score would be the winner of that round? Realsports Curling is a new and worthy sports title, and the ROM file was released for it too.
  13. Do you dynamically set the DLI mode line each frame, based on Robs Y position? For example if Rob is midway downscreen at about $80, do you divide that by 8 pixels per Antic4 mode line and set a DLI at the 9th or 10th mode line? Or another method to know when to trigger the DLI Player 0 color changes?
  14. I played it just now for the first time. It is already very well done and seems to play perfectly to me. It is a bit on the quiet side, I hope more sounds are coming. You know, I would like to make a 5200 or A8 maze game too someday. But, I never really thought it through, how to set up the movement boundaries so you don't walk overtop the maze, and how best to use the players / missiles / playfield graphics. I was looking at how you used the 5200's resources for this game. A couple tech questions? 1. It looks like the red cop is 'player5', i.e. the 4 missiles. True? 2. Then I assume the other 3 cops are players 1/2/3? And do you use Player0 for a bonus item? 3. That would mean you use playfield graphics for Rob right? 4. But on the pre-game demo screen, when Rob or Banks walks across the screen grabbing all the horizontally lined-up bonus items, it looks like you use a players for Rob here, and use playfield graphics for all the multicolored bonus items. Right?
  15. Agreed. I've played it through a few years back, mind you. A little more polish and it could have been a fun game. Those exhaust vents though.
  16. Atari 2600, - Donkey Kong VCS homebrew, 15 mins. Sega 32X, - Spider-man web of Fire, 15 mins. - Virtua Racing, 15 mins. Sega saturn, - Baku Baku, 2 hours. - Outrun, 1 hour. - Afterburner II, 1 hour. - Robotron, 30 mins.
  17. I'd be fine waiting but if it starts up soon, I'm probably almost at the point I could play a round or two.
  18. Level hike is also reported to have reversed L and R audio. Why choose it over Hyperkin? Oh, if you can reverse the audio cables then that is an advantage.
  19. I haven't been able to join in, I moved houses which consumed my days, then got surgery on my hand. After it heals more I'll be getting surgery on the other hand, so not a lot of gaming going on.
