  1. i haven't made it, i have taken it from an old forgotten box in my workplace, it was a sample from an italian joystick producer made for Atari and C64, but it really looks (and surely is) handmade, i love it
  2. Here are some pictures of my steering wheel:
  3. Hi all, some days ago while i was working i've found a big old box full of very very old joysticks, all made by an italian factory (Alberici), a lot of Albatros controllers and similars and a magnificent steering wheel with 9 pin serial connector, a gear stick and two giant buttons... i was amazed so i bringed it home and connected to my 2600 and WOW, it worked fine and the two buttons turned on giving you the sensation to be playing in an arcade room It's all made in heavy iron or steel, i don't know, but it weights about 2 kgs, i opened it and found it uses giant switches and buttons used in arcade machines... looking around i found www.alberici.net, a producer of machine pieces, still in business. I'll post some pictures in the next days if you are interested
  4. Si, Fabry, sono italiano ) For Albert: cartridges could be made up of glass fyber and epoxy resin (or rosin, don't know the exact translation) in variable quantities, however it would be much more hard and resistant of a plastic shell, and the color would be transparent, slightly opaque, ranging from light yellow to red, it depends on the thickness, using the same thickness as original shells it would be transparent and light yellow. I don't know yet how much could it cost, it surely also depends on desired quantity but the most important thing is that it is hand madeso it requires hand work to be made and obviously it costs more than a machine. How could you spend for such a shell? Other comments and suggestion are appreciated, thanx
  5. Hi there, it's a long time since my last presence here Talking with my brother (he builds pieces, spare parts and other things in glass fyber and carbon fyber for models and for Ducati motorcycles, all handmade) i have thought that maybe can be interesting building cases for 2600 (or other) cartridges with glass fyber, anyone interested? I think it could be a good substitute for original plastic casing, even if it's not the original case, and also it could be personalized and painted in any color. It's better, however not to use carbon fyber as it conducts electricity so it's not really suitable for electronic purposes. Let me know P.S. For clarity, i don't know how much it could costs, even if materials are very cheap, it takes some work to be produced, so it surely isn't as cheap as 1/2 or 1 dollar.
