Hi
I'm building a bartop with arcade classics of the golden era, like Donkey Kong, and I'd really like to reach a good fidelity to the originals both for hardware (4-way joystick, vertical monitor, low lag...) and software.
About software, it seems that the 60-in-1 multiboards have a bad emulation of Donkey Kong, while I've read good reviews of the ArcadeSD pcb.
But I have alreasy a Raspberry Pi, that can run Donkey Kong and other classics both on MAME4All (based on the old MAME 0.36b7) and on Advance MAME 0.106.
So I'm wondering how much is emulation of Donkey Kong (and other classics like Pac-man and Galaxian) accurate on this MAME version? Using the Raspberry Pi with Advance MAME 0.106 could I reach an accuracy of emulation at least close to ArcadeSD (saving a bit of money)?
So I'm really interested in a your judgement on the quality of emulation, thank you...
