  1. You are preaching to the wrong choir. Most members here are nintendo biased. Anyway, I think you are right that we are comparing bottles and oranges here. @n8littlefield: about ICO: wait until you finish the game. It has a very japanese anime-like ending. The ending is anti-climatic and will force you to make up your own conclusions on how it should end. At the end you will either like it for the ride or hate it for leaving it open ended.
  2. It's all a personal matter, but even with all the good praises said the cube has sold far less units than the N64. Sure enough those few who bought it probably feel they got their money's worth. Still the fact that gamecube sales have always been so bad means there is a group of consumers who think the console is not worth getting. There is also people who similar to one of the posters bought the console and was left sorely disappointed by the cube's lack of games and mostly kiddie content.
  3. I think you are not the only one with that opinion. Sure the GC has its fans, but it's really hard to say it was more successful than the N64.
  4. Would you say the same for the little cube that could?
  5. He has to be - that's part of his job. However Shoe is not to be underestimated. It's not the answers Reggie gives (we all know he will resort to the usual nintendish PR lines). It's the questions Shoe makes and to see how he reacts to Shoe's hard hitting style.
  6. It wasn't overboard, but the aggresive tone is definitely there. The reporter could have asked Moore some easy questions and get it done, but that's not the case. Supposedly Shoe has done this many times before. If he hadn't already I would love to see him grill Reggie Fils-Aime the same way.
  7. I hope it's better than the Logitech Wingman Rumblepad... The review I linked to seems to like it, but I think it sucks. It's a different, newer model. Actually it's called "Logitech Rumblepad 2" and looks very similar to a dualshock.
  8. Tycho from Penny Arcade fame commented on the article also. He even made a comic about it (here ya go):
  9. How about an EDTV's or HDTV's that accept both PC and TV signals?
  10. Just recently learned the wired version of the xbox's 360 pad is compatible with Windows XP. Sure no MAC support but that's to be expected. I have been testing it with different pc games and emulators and it works pretty good.
  11. Still people pay about the same or more for similar services. People gladly pay similar fees for MMORPG's and that's only a single game. For $15 you get a one-game at a time subscription at Gamefly.com and that's a rental service too.
  12. Some complained that $15 is too much for what they offer. Yet I see people gladly paying $35 for a Mega Man Collection for 15 or so games or about $20 for a Midway Classics Collection" (and those collections are emulated too). If paying $15 for a 100+ library is too much then there is a definite double standard here.
  13. People pay as much or more on online fees for a single MMORPG.
  14. http://1up.com/do/feature?pager.offset=0&cId=3147131 Quoting gaming site Kotaku: 1UP has a pretty unrelenting interview with Peter Moore posted. The interview, which is from EGM and appearing on the web is conducted by editor-in-chief Dan “Shoe” Hsu, and much like the editor went after other publications, he presses Peter Moore pretty well. He points out games like Kabukui, Barbie Horse Adventures: Wild Horse Rescue and Sneakers are backwards compatible, while Splinter Cell wasn’t. The interview isn’t ever mean spirited, but you definitely get a sense that Hsu might not be too pleased with his 360. It’s an excellent read
  15. That's great man. What games are you planning to get?
  16. Maybe, but I'd be inclined to doubt it. Not only that, but it would cost as much as getting a new controller. @silver_surfer: Some gc games don't support PS2 converters (purposely perhaps?). Thought you would like to know.
  17. I tried Contra on the kaillera network and it was pretty cool indeed.
  18. From what I read the problem seems to be a resistor in the controller board.
  19. I think there is a homebrewn import enabler that you can burn and use with your DC.
  20. I have seen it happen on a different cart, but with an SNES version of the action replay.
  21. Adrian would be proud of you right now. Don't forget your purple DS. nice come back btw.
  22. Besides you? No thanks, you wear Adrian's hat much better Please will the mother of the child come take care of figgler... Instead of trying to make me look bad let's keep talking about wave race.
  23. Here is an interesting article: http://www.siliconera.com/2006/01/16/the-b...ss-of-reprints/ Maybe someone can confirm: Didn't a company called Majesco did re-prints of some konami games back in the 16-bit days? Would this be any different than what they did?
