I just leave this here:
I just thought it could be of some interest here...
-
I was better at games when I was younger of course out of snappier reflexes and sheer coordination, but now they are more fun, because I'm more relaxed, and I enjoy them a lot more.
The simpler, the better. Make me focus on things

Zen and videogames lol.

Ciao.
Non posso credere che non ci sia nessuno delle mie parti...!
Qualcuno in zona Lecco - Brianza - Como con cui discutere/scambiare di Vectrex, ColecoVision, Intellivision?

Fatevi vivi!!!
-
I'd like to have one too, thanks.
-
Thanks. I was really hoping for such simple solution. What was causing trouble in my case was that a thin piece of plastic shaped like the D letter inside the knob remained on the shaft...
-
Please I need to know how to remove the power knob safely, to put it in another working machine.
Thanks.

Do you know Galaxy Patrol for the NES by Michael Martin?

It is great fun to me!

I use a bic pen with a wire strap taped on it...
What do they actually adjust? something visible on screen like trembling or shaking?
Basically I have this (feeble) issue on my vectrex...
-
Here are the 7 variable resistors you can adjust in the Vectrex.
They are marked in yellow.
Vectrex Logic Board Variable Resistors.jpg
Vectrex Power Board Variable Resistors2.jpgI have a question: what are R505 and R506 for?

Sorry I dont know how to edit.
I'd like to add that I made up my own tool for adjusting the pot: a bic pen with a wire strap taped on it!
-
thank you i did open my vectrex and with the help of the thread which explain where the "pots" are I manged to make the screen a bit better.
still not satisfied with the result but at least i can see the score
!cheers

I have a vectrex whose display looks like has been stretched vertically, i.e. on minestorm the score and remaining spaceship are out of screem
sometimes better than others, sometimes the screen is garbled but a pat on the vectrex head brings thing to "normality".
is there something i could try without killing myself ?

I dont know how to solder either.
any help appreciated.
cheers.

Thank you.
merry Xmas.

@5-11under: thanks!
Today i tried for the first time to open my "greenish" coleco and IT WAS SURPRISINGLY EASY.
After all i read on the 'net i thought i was gonna kill myself but it was really a piece of cake!!! (without stripping out the front sticker!)
So I tried to swap the RF cable but still the colors on my TV are still greenish, like bleached out...this is as far as my knowledge goes, so... I'm keeping it for this "coleco 1.2"
cheers!

Hello Coleco World.
I just signed in to say i'm in!.
This project is awesome.
I have a Colecovision which outputs a greenish video... I'm thinking to replace its guts with this board.
Cheers.
