  1. Did you happen to read through this topic?: First thing I had it fully recapped Then we found out that I had a dead diode in my unit which was cutting the power off... after replacing it everything returned back to operational state. Cheers and good luck!
  2. This thread among or above others really shows the passion, fondness and dedication of people towards this hobby. I'm impressed.
  3. Original controller, anything else is CHEATING!
  4. Just to say I've bought a ColUsb and I'm powering it up with a Xiaomi 2A charger and a 2 meter USB C cable I had lying around. So far so good... everything works just fine no issue whatsoever. Only thing of notice: they say to unplug USB when not in use, so I comply (but the same I do with the original power supply).
  5. Get well soon @CPUWIZ All the best!
  6. I'd like to give a little visibility to this movie here: "Pirata! a cult movie" from 1984, but filmed between oct. '82 - feb '83, by 25 year old director Paolo Ciaffi Ricagno and presented to the Venice international film festival of that year. Pirata! a cult movie The plot goes something in the lines of: In a hypothetical future, the Supreme Dreamer models people's behavior through the "Hat of Dreams" network. His dominion is threatened by a rebel businessman, the Pirate, who carries out an attack on the network's transmission center, overthrows the Supreme Dreamer and replaces him, however imposing a dictatorship similar to that of his predecessor. Whatever; but it really stands out videogaming wise for two reasons, in my opinion: 1) inserts of video game snippets into real life footage (i.e. see min. 12.55 - but few more along the way - and I think this is pretty unique); 2): an entire sequence filmed in a '80s italian arcade (from min. 22.00 on). So take some popcorn and a beer and give it a try! Cheers!
  7. Do you know if there are still clear cases for sale? I need just one, preferably sold in Europe, thanks.
  8. I have a question: what about .atr and .bas files? can they be loaded into this cart and played? (in a 800XL to be precise) Thanks
  9. Jammapi is a device to connect a raspberry pi to a jamma arcade connector. I don't see it listed so I put a link here: http://www.arcadeitalia.net/viewtopic.php?t=30495
  10. Thank you, I've just updated my cart. Indeed the reset button is now perfectly usable, and this makes a difference.
  11. There is a multi cart for it: Great little system... but I wouldn't pay current ebay prices for it...
  12. Not videogame related: 30 minute walk in a green environment (woods, lake, park...) maybe could help
  13. It has arrived, in working order and pretty good shape, after some cleaning up: It has quite a low serial number, I guess...: Merry Christmas!
  14. Yes, and I have two super action controllers and I'm not afraid to use them just when it arrives! They are the funkiest controllers around. By the way I vividly recall that the screenshots of Rocky as seen in magazines at the time, where absolutely mind-blowing, just for the graphics.
  15. These games plus a complete colecovision unit without box for € 75... They are complete with booklet. Looping cart is missing, but I have a replacement. Plus the compulsory donkey kong cartridge Not too bad... I'm not fond of the two learning titles though. I'd preferred other two silver box titles to display, but hey it's still alright to me after all. It'so difficult (to me at least) to find boxed titles for the CV these times that I'm happy to have something to display! My goal in collecting is not to have a "complete" set, but to recreate a "typical" set-up from the era, with some titles that a boy that time would have in his collection. Cheers and happy holidays!

    VecFever

"Question: Can we still buy a vecfever ? If so, where ? My Answer: I am very sorry – I really can’t answer that part. Only thing I know is – Thomas is still actively working on it… I don’t know if he plans to build more, or an updated version, or even only do versions for his own needs." I took this from the "vide.malban.de/vecfever" website....

Sucks ass on the Arcade 1UP cab, but that's because of the sound delay and shitty dial. I do have the Retro Glen's spinner on order though, so that'll help at least.

  18. Can we guess it? I think I got it but I don't want to spoil it....
  19. I find these videos very informative and entertaining Thanks for doing these.
  20. good, but with this method you don't have to open things up!
  21. Youtuber Perifractic (atariage user: Starglider01) published a video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8P1OVj0IcqY on which he tried to retrobright old plastic with just the power of the sun, no other element needed. I decided to give this method a try, and these are my results, after 2 day of exposure to Italy morning sun (about 6 hours): before after before after So what do you think? I believere there are some improvement over the initial state, without any effort!
  22. Just received the multicart. They were well shipped from Austria. They seem well crafted and working as said, i.e. two games (notably pole position 2) won't work because of extra ram missing. However I tried some of the games and they work perfectly. Just what was needed for this little fun system, hoping that maybe the prices will go down a little!
