  1. Took a quick picture of the skewed board, see attachments. I took your suggestion and pried on SD and MiniB connectors carefully and reduced the amount the edge of the connector sticks against the spring-loaded cart slot, however, I have to force it in to my Atari's cart slot and honestly it feels like it's going to damage either the Atari or the PCB eventually as the edge of the board hangs against the spring-loaded cart door. Would you like me to PM you my Google Transaction number in exchange for the return address if you feel that replacement is still the solution? Thanks.
  2. I received my Harmony cart about a month ago and only just recently got around to trying it out. It is actually impossible to insert it into any of my three Atari systems like a normal cart. I looked at it and found that the circuit board was actually skewed and not perfectly in line with the small slot that the cover provides for the PCB. I have to use a screwdriver to pop open the spring-loaded cover and push it over the PCB so it's held by friction, then carefully insert it into my Atari system. Taking a closer look at the SD and USB hole revealed that the entire board was skewed slightly to one side - further evidence of my problem. I don't want to ruin the label and take it apart to see why exactly this is happened to the cartridge - I read that batari tests the carts personally before sending them, so perhaps the post office beat up my package and forced the PCB out of alignment? Any help or ideas from the Harmony team on this one? Should I take some pictures?
  3. I decided to start on this project today while I had my 7800 open to replace the BIOS or whatever with a DevOS v0.2 EPROM. Here's my results of the board. I used 1/4" Forstner bits to drill holes for the RCA ports onto the case, plus plugged the RF hole up with a section of plastic carved to fit. I took a quick picture of the mobo for now until my 74LS04 and 28 pin machined DIP socket arrive.
  4. Because people think old things = worth lots of money. And then they get E.T.
  5. So you're from around the Pittsburgh area? I saw this on craigslist and felt $40 was a total rip-off.
  6. This firmware mod offers the compatibility of 2.71, with the homebrew of 1.50. The mod came out yesterday, yet I did not see anyone post about it. By Dark_AleX, Harleyg, and Mathieulh. Here's a tutorial. Here's a video (google). Here's a video (youtube). It's awesome, almost no one bricked from it. I am running it now. It's amazing. If you have 1.50 and frequenty Devhook 2.71, you should do this.
  7. I am TRYING to get one of those, a HP dv6000t. I don't even need to sell this laptop, but I don't need 4 computers. I'll turn to eBay I guess, I intended to do that first.

  12. Congrats. I have a 1.5 too and it's quite nice to have. Now go load devhook and you can run 2.71 on your 1.5 PSP whenever you want to run a new game or use the browser. Could just use Links2, it doesn't have out of memory errors. Oh and SNESPSP_TYL ME is amazing on PSP!
  13. Maybe this weekend. As long as you keep the power plug in it will be fine.
  14. Ok guys it's out. I just tried it, first upgrading to 2.71. It works. I have a 1.50 PSP now. I am amazed! Get the downgrader HERE. READ THE README!
  15. That was a trick by harleyg, sorry! You need 2.71, a memory stick bigger than 32 MB (just to be safe), and a 1.50 DOWNGRADER folder. Good luck to all who do it. I will once I get a bigger memory stick.
  16. Directly from the IRC: the downgrader works! 2.71 -> 1.50! Releasing tonight at 12:00 AM GMT+1 (AKA 4 hours from this post)! Being released at http://downgrader.lan.st/ You need a 1.50 dump. Get that from the internet. GOOD LUCK!
  17. Pic stolen from QJ.net Dark_Alex has made some progress, 6 PSP's have been bricked so far. The problem is that all the 1.50 files are not being flashed. The 1.50 IPL is being flashed, and that is the most important part. Expect it to be done maybe today.\ The eLoader uses an exploit in the GTA save games, so it exec's off of that.
  18. I've got some news for you guys. Expect a downgrader for 2.71 non-TA-82 PSP's either tonight or tommorow! Dark_Alex is coding it right now! Also, I've disassembled the TIFF, so if someone wants to look at it they could ask me for the .ASM file.
  19. 2.0 - 2.71 has kernal mode through this exploit, 2.80 does not.
  20. Proof (just for fun). I'm running 2.70, originally on 2.0, but wanted flash (which turned out to be horrible). Code executed by going to the Photo menu. HELLO WORLD! Fanjita, psp250, Skylark, cswindle,JoeK, jim and libtiff, and NOPX86 are amazing! Expect an eLoader soon from Fanjita (noobz.eu or pspupdates.qj.net). Hopefully the eLoader is done soon.
