so.. Like this?

i've read that but it doesn't help me understand where the ceramic bit goes.
-
i just got the console5 kit today. I understand what goes where except for the ceramic capacitor. none of the instructions I see online explain how that is connected up by the power jack.

as a kid I always loved that you could half eat the center pellets... Game never bothered me back then and I'm sure I had played the arcade version. Obviously there are better 2600 games but as a child, I could care less. It was fun to play.

Berzerk would be a nice one to have.

NTSC Color Palette - CRT TV Default & Tuning Varieties
bigbacon replied to Trebor's topic in Atari 7800
what is interesting is with the 7800 the change is VERY dramatic, every step in the tint setting shows a major change in the color. Everything else, even my NES, the change was very small and almost not noticable. -

try fatal run. everything brown is green and everything yelllow is mostly green as well. I didn't notice my issue with colors too much until this game. I'm on a LCD tv with my consoles going through a sony dvd recorder. i can mess with both the pot and tint on the tv but it is never perfect. Does this issue still happen if the console is modded for svideo? guessing not as my other 7800 using RF does the same thing. EDIT Again: KNow what....I adjusted the tint on my TV to -7 and on other consoles, including my Jaguar and TG16 the color difference is very small. I can barely tell in temptest 2000 or Neutopia. It might actually even be better. It seems on my tv if I have tint at 0. All yellows seem to have a green hint to them. -

what is the fix then on this? my composite mod 7800 has browns being green on my LCD tv. the console is hooked up through dvd recorder and then that goes into the tv. I can mess with the tint control on my TV but it is still never correct. closed but not. Games like fatal run look weird or things are all the same color when they souldn't be. -
Couldn't it be way cheaper if they weren't using Neo Geo shells/contollers?

Pitfall 2. I like Revenge..but at the same time it isn't that pick up and play and I have a hell of time controlling the dude with the 5200 controller.
-
It actually allows 480i or 480p. it is selectable. but whatever...it works, the picture is clear and the blurring is minimal at best. There is no noticeable input lag either.
-
I have it my stuff plugged into a Sony DVD recorder which then outputs using component to the TV.
-
alright I returned the crap tv i boght and picked up a Visio E32-C1 from wal-mart.... MUCH MUCH better. tiny bit of blur but barely noticable. I has a game mode and that semi tricky 120hz stuff going on which must help. even the 5200 looks fine now. Little bit of coloring issues but can't expect more from analog. i really need to get one of my 5200s modded.
-
i think im going to try a different TV. Should have done some research first. Looks like Visio has a budget minded 32" that is good for gaming with low motion blue and low input lag.
-
this isn't a problem as I have a device inbetween the consoles and the TV that allows me to plug in anything and output through component video. I definitely still love my plasma TV as well. I am going to be so mad when it dies. It does everything brilliantly and there is little to no burn in on mine and/or it goes away quickly

wonder if I need a REAL LED tv. bad marketing i think it what I just got. its a LED but i didn't know this until now that LED means it is LED backlit, the screen is still LCD and if the panel is crap then its going to be crap.
-
I am using the official atari svideo cable if that matters. Maybe I need to try a good brand TV then like a samsung or something and not the cheapo brands. On my plasma, which is my main tv in the house, it looks AMAZING. I'm trying to get my consoles into my gaming loft and there just isn't enough room to say take the 50 up there and replace my main tv with somehing newer/bigger. My LG Plasma is just so superb with movies and newer consoles. I fear I may need to jst go back to a CRT, which sucks, it takes up so much room and I don't have a lot of realestate to spare in my room.

Anyone here use a Jaguar on a LCD or LED tv using S-video? Do you get really bad ghosting in games? I have two tvs, both 32" and using S-video the color tearing and ghosting is terrible. Most noticeable with wolf 3d. My 50" plasma does not exhibit this behavior. I've tried it with the jag connected directly to the TV and being connected to another device that then sends the signal to the tv. other games just look extra bad

can someone point me in the direction of the parts needed to do the power mod on a 4 port?
-
So...is this going to be released in a physical form?
-
hey, someone on 7800 facebook group told me to just move the board outside the RF shielding...Tried it and BAM, no more ghosting using one of these cheap boards.
-
i would like to know as well how to fix the ghosting. My mod board is like the one pictured on the left.
