  1. No problem The battery life is about the same as before, because the PCB has more power consumption and the LCD less power consumption. But with better viewing experience
  2. For SD slot the Harmony cartridge exists IMO. But would also be possible.
  3. At present I'm very busy. But when I have some pictures of the PCB and the case I let you know. I also planned flash onboard. Then you can insert the original cartridge and copy it to flash and select the games with a menu on the screen. So you don't need to take all cartridges with you.
  4. I also can install paddle control onboard. It's not a big thing. But uses extra space on the PCB.
  5. Yes, you also can use GND at the VGA out. It's the same rail.
  6. Yes, I can do also the case. I'll try to finish it until Xmas
  7. Yes, the size of a Nintendo DS and the original cartridge fits on the back of the game console. When I planned a portable ATARI 2600 two years ago, I wanted to have original parts, so the portable ATARI 2600 would be 100% compatible and not just 99%. I also wanted to use LiPo accus, USB charging, internal speaker and a 3.5" LCD. But I haven't finished it yet, because I am very busy with my LCD mod kits for the LYNX and GAME GEAR (also the design of NOMAD mod kit and PCE GT mod kit). But I think I will do the PCB design in the future.
  8. Have you some pictures of your case design? Would be interesting. The case design should be small as a Nintendo DS with 3.5" LCD.
  9. Retrofix Australia has also my mod kits
  10. ALL online stores have the newest firmware at present. Indeed I planned a portable ATARI 2600 (original hardware with 6507 CPU or optional with 6502 CPU) with my own LCD mod 2 years ago, but haven't finished it yet. If some interest please let me know.
  11. Yes, that's no problem. You just need to send the game console to my address and I'll do the firmware update. Then you just have to pay the shipping cost back to your country.
  12. Yes, they are tested very thoroughly and have no bad pixels, because I also hate it to have bad pixels. All LCDs are tested twice. But the LCD can be exchanged if they are damaged or so. Yes, you can select scanlines/retro style by pressing the backlight button on the LYNX-II and by turning the backlight thumbwheel on the LYNX-I. The scanlines have 50% brightness.
  13. Yes, they are still available. I've sent PM
  14. Have you an 1ASIC or 2ASIC board? Have you also replaced the caps of the power board? BTW: If you replaced the caps did you also cleaned the board after desoldering the caps. The liquid of the caps will eat away the copper of the PCB. So some traces could be damaged.
  15. At present not. I will try to make a new firmware in the future.
  16. It's definitely one of the CLK_A1, CLK_A2 or CLK_A3. You can leave the backlight thumbwheel at it's position, if you don't want to install the VGA connector.
  17. I had several LYNXs where the SUZY IC was broken, if the picture has distortion or wrong pixels. Mostly it was caused by overvoltage, if the zener diode was faulty. I prefer to do the SUZY IC first, then the MIKEY IC, IMO.
  18. I had done some tests with the Majesco GG boards VA4 and VA5. I will make a new firmware in the future and then also the Majesco GG VA4 and VA5 are supported.
  19. IMO it's easier to fix it with plasic screws/ring washers and hot glue, if there are notches instead of holes. With holes it's more difficult to install the ring washers.
  20. Use the 4 plastic screws (don't tighten too much), center it and fix it with hot glue (just a little bit). BTW: Try to use shorter wires
  21. Yes, 4.86 V is normal. The most LYNX are in the range 4.83 V - 4.9 V
  22. Yes, I'm also doing installations. PM sent.
