  1. I think it probably does. I used to love Winrar and hate changing but I've been using 7-zip for ages. Best around IMHO.
  2. Yeah, B/Graph was never released on cartridge. From your previous posts, it sounds like you really don't have much in the way of peripherals for your Atari, so you're really going to be extremely limited as to what you can run. Also, if you don't have or aren't willing to purchase a multi-cart, you aren't even going to be able to use a cart image if you find one, meaning you're going to be further limited by what you can find for sale on ebay or whatever. If you're serious about using your Atari, you really need to invest in a drive/peripheral/cart emulator. My suggestions would be a Fujinet, AVG Cart, Side3 Cart, in that order. Without a drive/peripheral/cart emulator, there's really not much that anyone is going to be able to do to help you. You really need to start by helping yourself.
  3. I'm fairly certain that VisiCalc was never released in cartridge format, only disk. I really can't find much of anything on TurboCalc, so I can't say much about that one. It looks like it may have been released in cartridge format. I was able to find this image here on the forums from about five years ago, but it was one someone made themselves, not necessarily an official one.
  4. I think I'm going to go ahead and order a few as well. I really don't know that I have any use for them other than to build this cart when everything becomes available, but for the price, I might as well pickup a few. I'm sure I can come up with some uses later. How long did yours take, if you don't mind me asking? I just bought some port saver cables for my STE off ebay from atarifreakz, the first time I've seen those available in a long time, and they came from the U.K. to Indiana in a week. I couldn't believe how quickly they arrived. Heck, I've ordered things from just a state or two away that took longer. Anyway, I'm anxious to see what you do with yours. You always come up with the best projects.
  5. That's awesome news! Thanks for the update. I just emailed him about getting a new insulated composite cable. Hopefully, I'll hear back from him soon.
  6. Well, now you can get all of the details here: https://atari.com/products/atari-2600-plus I'd be curious to know if it will be compatible with any 2600/7800 Harmony/multi-carts.
  7. Yeah, I'm anxious to build one of these too, just as a cool little project, but I don't think it's to that point yet.
  8. Marlin, you and Gavin have always been two of the biggest assets our little community have had. Now that we've lost Gavin, temporarily at least, I pray you stay happy and healthy and put up with us for a long time to come. As long as I'm in a praying mood, I pray Gavin rejoins us sooner rather than later or never.
  9. Personally, I've never had a problem with Brad. I guess I'm a lucky one, but I've read enough of these posts and seen enough hints of his, let's call it quirkiness, in my dealings with him to know that they're all no doubt 100% true. And the ever-changing rules?! @MrFish, that's just too spot on not to be funny! I hope I don't get banned for posting on this thread.
  10. Hard to believe that I used to have all those brochures from back in the day and today they're just gone. I'm not even sure what happened to them. Those are sweet!
  11. Not to interrupt your troubleshooting too much, but whereabouts in Indiana are you located? I know there are a couple of users near Indy but I've never met or heard of any in my neck of the woods down in the southwestern tri-state area. Just curious if you'd be close to Evansville.
  12. Yeah, they were fully functional, though I'm not sure who has the eyes for it. They were around $25 when they first came out but it looks like most retailers are out of stock.
  13. I thought Hercules went out of business several months ago? Was that announcement premature?
  14. I can't vouch for the lag, because I'm not certain how you'd go about actually measuring it, and I've never noticeably experienced it, but I've used both of these on my modern Windows gaming rig and they're both wonderful. The Xbox has the plus of working with the XBox, obviously, and the GiliKit works with the Nintendo Switch and is much better than even Nintendo's own Pro Controller. It also works with Android, Mac & iOS. Both controllers work with Windows PCs via Bluetooth and work well and, as I said, I've never experienced any noticeable lag. 15. The comment was written that the computer was cheap and easy to upgrade, not that it was cheap, and easy to upgrade. Notice the comma placement in my example, and the lack of a comma in my original comment. It makes all the difference in the world. 😉 It's easy to misread though, so I understand why everyone misunderstood my comment. And yes, I agree, there's nothing at all cheap about STEs these days, especially in the U.S. That was reason I adopted a U.K. machine and converted it, for all practical purposes, to a U.S. model.
  16. There are several good frontends that you can use. Personally, I use LaunchBox. There are tons of videos on setting up and options.
  17. No, I said it's cheap and easy to upgrade, not that an STE is cheap. I guess that could've been taken more than one way. Assuming you already have a 520 or 1040STE, you should be able upgrade it to a full 4MB for around $20.
  18. I've never even heard of it. Where did you stumble onto this information?
  19. Yes, that's true. I've never done this myself, but I've heard it before. An STE is extremely cheap and easy to upgrade to 4MB too, so there really is no reason for anyone with an STE to not have a 4160STE!
  20. Exxos sells a dual TOS upgrade that lets you switch between two different OSes with the flip of a switch. You can get 1.62/2.06 or 1.04/2.06 https://exxosforum.co.uk/atari/last/tos/index.htm#STETOSSWITCH
  21. Depending on what you want/expect to emulate, an old HP SFF desktop off eBay would be plenty to do it.
  22. I'm not certain this is the best spot for this question or not. Actually, I'm fairly certain some of the Visual Pinball sites would be better but, since I'm just looking for preliminary information, I figured I'd start here. So, first off, are there any virtual pinball fans on here? Assuming that there are, are there any on here familiar enough to know a good system to run it? My wife has asked me to investigate building a table and, since I'm planning to build a new gaming rig sometime next year, I've been thinking retiring my current gaming rig to use as a Visual Pinball computer may work well. My current system is mainly Asus, consisting of an Asus ROG Maximus IX Hero mobo, an i7-7700K, an Asus ROG-Strix-GTX1080, 16GB RAM, and a Sound BlasterX AE-5. Would this be enough to make a decent VP rig?
  23. I didn't find a lot, but there's a little info here, along with links to several Page6 issues with articles. https://gury.atari8.info/detail.php?id=7243&src=1 And here's a link to the user's guide. https://www.computinghistory.org.uk/det/59704/Multi-viewterm-Plus-Datatari-Serial-Interface-User-Guide/
