http://kiblitzing.blogspot.com/2018/07/get-picture.html So you CAN connect a Genesis to a VGA monitor! Except you have to build the cable yourself. And only some VGA monitors work. Ugh.

Yeah, you need to look for monitors that start at 15Khz frequency - luckily I have one of them (NEC MultiSync 3D - but it's a bit small). Building your own cables can be a pain sometimes but the reward is worth it for the superior picture. As for the Pound cables, why couldn't they use the 5VDC from the AV port instead of the USB port? I don't get that at all.
