    Feeling pretty sour right now. The Genesis I got at a yard sale years ago has a screw attached to the heat sink/shield that's so rusty that it's practically cemented into place. Nothing moves it, nothing! How the hell can I do an S-video mod on this thing with the sink in the way?

      Annnd all the screws are off the heat sink. I had to boil it to expand the metal and soften whatever adhesive they used. Still gotta get a replacement 7805 though.

      My old Gen1 has rainbow banding so bad it's almost unplayable. My Gen3 is much better, lol

      Good luck my friend! I really like S-Video from a Genesis! I have one CRT with S-Video, though compatibility is hit and miss for some reason...And I have convertors for S-Vid to HDMI and VGA...
