Amazing it works very well, never seen something like this running on a TI-99/4A !

in Mame got it to work (I was entering the directory "c:\mame\carts\hiding.zip" behind -cart and also used .zip, so got errors to load it). this worked: mame64.exe ti99_4a -cart hiding -ioport peb -ioport:peb:slot2 32kmem -ioport:peb:slot3 speech -ioport:peb:slot8 hfdc %* in .rpk with mame, Batocera and js99er.net it goes directly to a blank blue screen somehow. Not that important, I do not have an MBX system but I do have an MSX Philips VG8020 ?

It is the only module which behaves different compared to the other MBX modules, it goes straight to a blue screen and beeps all time (hangs) it does not show the titlescreen "I'M Hiding" and then (or straight to) "please install your mbx console" others MBX modules show the menu options (like 2 for Terry Turtle) and then the MB Titlescreen and then indicates no MBX installed. (Championship Baseball goes straight to a blue screen and "please install your mbx console", but in the video of pixelpedant it also has a titlescreen) Like I do not see this screen (courtesy of @pixelpedant

Finally managed to get it configured to work in .rpk format (except I'm Hiding, did not figure it out yet)

It seems that I get a lot of "garbled" speech (I have not tested a real TI again), but in the emulators not always everything is spoken, do other people also have this ?

It is difficult, but I almost had them all, still practicing. For the SAMS I think I did not manage it yet and the double scores only until 2x so far. (One time managed to get the XB, EA, MiniMem applications). It is all positive feedback, really love this Pinball version with Speech, it is addicting like all your other games!

Thank you, I will try to play around with the different configurations, some others I got to work last time, but these RPKs seem to give a bit trouble ? (and I am trying to understand why JS99er.net does not have the issue loading these .rpk ?)

Thank you. I will try it (it seems .zip files do not work in Batocera, because of the file structure setup), but I prefer the .rpk format for Batocera setup to keep it standardized. these .rpk also do not work but they work in js99er.net tetris.rpk spad_xiii.rpk compu-car.rpk

Here are more points where the ball got stuck amd have to use the spacebar to get it moving.

Do you mean like this ? that it exits on the left side (and also get stuck on the right side, see video, then press the spacebar) It happens in JS99er.net and MAME-Batocera (I have not been playing on the real TI yet). Also going through the "wumpus" lane it accelerates the ball I like the recording part in JS99er.net, it saves to webm format, then I use Any Video Converter for MP4 js99er-20220709080539_x264.mp4

@mizapf are you able to run these .rpks in MAME )? (they do work in js99er.net when I load the rpk's) superfly.rpk honey_hunt.rpk TerryTurtle.rpk (it does start in JS99, but indicates it requires a MBX console) (similarly Champion Baseball does the same, but that one starts in MAME / Batocera until the screen that an MBX console is needed) ImHiding.rpk (this gives a bluescreen, also in JS99er.net, and same when selecting it from the js99er.net software list)

But this high score sticks correctly 105,530 Also had the ball stuck at this point. Spacebar moves it again. (In my case to the left down the drain)

There is still a bug with the high score. It seems to remember the last high score 20220707_234055.mp4

What I meant was then I guess the message will not come up “not an original disk” as it is an exact copy bit by bit.

How would that work if someone used Copy-C or similar (entire disk as bitmap copy or sector copy?).

I am all okay to redo the competition in parallel for June with Pinball v1.0, according this post it is almost the same. . Hopefully more people joining the competition

also the BwG disk controller shows the time clock, but because of corcomp memory exp. Overwrites the title screen. Then the Snug cards also show something on the title screen. On YouTube TI99videos I probably have those as well
