  1. The keyboard works, but have you tried that in level 3, gee that's difficult the accuracy needed to jump, I almost managed it the complete it. (Okay I see 3 hours left EST time, will try it with a Joystick on a real TI).
  2. I have 1x in Bangkok,Asia and 1x in The Netherlands (my father's place). When Gazoo and Tursi helped with the speech that the XB 2.7 suite module now says "#Texas Instruments#" when booting was a great thing and appreciated! My kid loves it "the computer is talking"
  3. Wow! Did anyone ever passed level 3? (with a keyboard it does not work, it is very hard, I am now getting my TI-99/4A out of the box to try with a Joystick ... 3 1/2 hours left here before it is midnight...)
  4. I am very shocked to read this news just now. Dear Tony rest in piece and the great work you did will be in our memories. The Extended Basic 2.7 Suite was the biggest topic here at AtariAge forum and never seen someone implementing fixes and helping so fast to get it done. Now we have a module that says "#Texas Instruments Home Computer#" (I hope everyone has this firmware installed, if not if can be found on the forum, otherwise let me know, the modules out in the field need to talk!).
  5. Sorry about that .... yeah ... that 250.000 score is also still on my mind to beat that (Friday I am on a 20+ hour travel to USA, it takes about 20 min. to reach 150.000 points, so I guess I have about 20 tries if it takes 40 min per game and no sleep at all?
  6. Hardly have time to play this month. Just did a try again 9255, but also not be able to pass level 3 (cannot remember I ever did as a kid. it was one of the first assembly games we converted to Cassette Tape and load it using a TI with intern 32K). You can see all levels at the beginning (just wait and they pass by, but I agree the game is too hard, I hope the next one is not Jet Set Willy. great game, but also difficult).
  7. Not too sure for the real iron TI. But for the emulator I am using wireless keyboard, mouse and joysticks to use TI at a distance and on a large TV lcd screen. Benefit is that you can use it in any way how you want to use it.
  8. To add where to find Miner: 9. 2048K Games Cartridge (+32K) Prize: 1979 Black with red letters Module: "Football" + manual ****************************************************************************************************** ****************************************************************************************************** ******************************************************************************************************
  9. Edit Classic99.ini file and add the bold blue lines inside the .ini file (so that Miner2049er is in the User Module selection) (or user usercartXX, where XX = 10 to 99) For Classic99 [roms] cartgroup=2 cartidx=0 [usercart1] ; *** Miner2049er - works name="Miner 2049er" rom0=G|6000|6000|mods\miner2049g.bin
  10. (Unfortunately I have not been able to reach the Munch-Man 250.00 score!) Also I did not know it is that difficult to find a game for the competition: (TI Invaders, Chisholm Trail, TI Toad, Jumpy, Donkey Kong, Spot Shot, Big Foot) But I hope this one is fun, here is the game for the month: ********************************************************************************* ********************************************************************************* ********************************************************************************* TI-99/4A High Score Challenge Month: September, 2015 Game: Miner2049er Prize: (Saturday I will post it, when I am back from overseas travel) ****************************************************************************************************** ****************************************************************************************************** ****************************************************************************************************** Where to find Miner2049er ? Supports both: Keyboard and Joysticks Source: A - miner2049g.bin B- ASSMDS3.DSK 1. TI-99/4A and if you are an owner of the side-cart (like the picture above) just plug and play (I do not have it). Modules mentions that no 32K is needed. 2. TI-99/4A and the Gamecart 3 (512K) or the 2048K Games 1 modules (I need to check this), module requires 32K 3. TI-99/4A using the Extended Basic or Editor Assembler and "ASSMDS3.DSK" (and 32K) 4 Emulator Classic99 + miner2049g.bin (or Extended Basic or Editor Assembler and "ASSMDS3.DSK") 5 Emulator JS99er.net >> Select "more" > "Miner2049er" or select > Games > Gamecart 3 (512K) > 2 > option "L" 6 V9T9 Emulator + miner2049g.bin (or Extended Basic or Editor Assembler and "ASSMDS3.DSK") 7 MESS/MAME Emulator 8 TI-994W Emulator
  11. Today I was at a cybersecurity panel with ITU. The other speaker amazed me how Artificial Intelligence is used also for automated cybersecurity issues. But he demonstrated it with this (it might be somewhere on atariage) ...hope we do not implement this on our TI. https://www.google.co.th/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=http://m.youtube.com/watch%3Fv%3DV1eYniJ0Rnk&ved=0CCwQtwIwA2oVChMI56qtwefLxwIV0QaOCh202gi5&usg=AFQjCNHmgylcqNHnlByBq5pd12zKnyuiBA&sig2=7iig15qAed88fBHnahWoEw
  12. Hi Ralf, I am very impressed of what you are putting together for a long time and on top of every detail, this is very good and complete !
  13. My version - black with red letters is a V110 (I do not have more modules to test) (but vaguely I remember now this version issue in the 1980's, it is prob. somewhere documented in one of the TIjdingen - Dutch magazine) We need a "Web99" tool for magazines as well (Hint to Klaus!)
  14. Ignore my posting above - I think I can fix the switched keyboard...I was looking into it again just now and suddenly had the connector cable in my hand (all connectors broke, probably because of the heat and sitting in storage too long).
  15. hahaha that's funny "Are you Freddy" (have you seen that game by the way http://tigameshelf.net/asm.htm search for Freddy) btw - is that number on top your bank account number? (just kidding!) I remember that you have this book: https://ia600707.us.archive.org/29/items/tibook_cracking-the-994a/cracking-the-994a.pdf
  16. I agree with Michael, you need to get as much points in the lower rounds (max 8700 per round) to get extra Munch Mans. but it hardly works every "3rd" group of the same type of screen as these Hono's are faster and in later levels they are faster than yourself (just go and hope they are in your path to collect points). but starting level 21, then it is possible again to catch them in 1 go to get more points. Every 10.000 there is an extra Munch-Man, so collecting points is important. What I haven't check if there is a max. number of Munch-Man in the game e.g. max 9 limit, which means theoretically if you have not been eaten AND reach 70.000 point you can have 3+7 = 10 Munch Mans or more ? (I checked with SHIFT 838 as this one shows max. 9 MunchMans).
  17. Last week I did a (very simply) counting comparison in TI-Basic (to count until 1000+) on a real TI-99/4A and compared it to Classic99 v382 (The result was that Classic99 is faster as it runs on 60 Hz, while my TI runs on 50 Hz, but when running Classic on 50 Hz it is slower than the TI, Note (from Tursi): the 50 Hz mode in Classic99 is not advised/tested to use). I believe that V9T9 runs a bit slower and I have not compared two real TI's yet. MunchMan score using Classic99: My highest score using Classic99 and external USB-keyboard: 107780 Today I did MunchMan on the laptop with Classic99 and an external keyboard and recorded it with CamTasia. (I have no clue if all this is slowing down or impacting the performance, also running AVG Firewall,Antivirus and other programs etc.), but it still feels fast (so I guess it has minimum impact). Laptop is Samsung S9 (8 Gb), SSD 128 Gb disk (but it looks to me comparing it with other PCs/laptops that Classic99 is running at the same speed I turned off "Joysticks" and only use Keyboard, E,S,D,X keys I noticed that sometimes in a level the keys did not response fast enough to take the corners (not sure if this is the external keyboard (as there are 2x keyboards and I do not know if the laptop keyboard / HID can be turned off) and (normally I do not see this happen), but at 17.39 it hang for 5 seconds (see the video) Video: www.globeron.com/freedownload/services/TI99/MunchMan107720.mp4
  18. Thanks Tursi! > 1980 Extended Basic (Black with red letters) - Version 110 > 1982 Extended Basic (Beige with blue label) - Version 110 > 2015 Extended Basic v2.7 Suite (Black) - Version 210
  19. Interesting, I did not know that. Do you coincidentally know how to check if an Extrended Basic is V1.0 or V1.1 ? (I have the Black label one and the White/Blue label one to test).
  20. Same here CCleaner is good, also for cleaning the registry, never had issues with it. But to refresh the cache browser, you can use this trick: press SHIFT and reload the page (or "F5"), that forces the webbrowser to get it from the source (that also helps if an Internet Service Provider caches webpages in between the real server and your computer).
  21. Hi Ksarul, I also have these keyboards in my TI - (Black with the brown board "Misumi") and (Black with the green board - "HiTEK") http://www.ebay.com/itm/BAM-Lot-of-3-TI-99-4A-Replacement-Keyboard-NICE-/161761924021?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item25a9c313b5&nma=true&si=Q48LZrJM7dnkwJP%252Fa6V7RvqzRe8%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557 Question: it the green Hi-TEK card also "mylar" or is it considered switched keyboard? (it looks switched to me, but I am double-checking) Reason: * I am fixing my original TI, temporary I put a beige-mitsumi-mylar keyboard in it, everything works (but I am aware of the issues) * however my black-Hi-Tek keyboard only a few keys work. Can these keyboards be fixed? (or e.g. spray contacts or something like that) or is there a difference in contact points / interface? (I find it a bit strange, because the switched keyboard supposed to be better).
  22. Just found the issue (it was not the disk...but the .rpk) I was using an extended_basic_100.rpk (which gaves this issue) the extended_basic.rpk is working ok (without the _100),
  23. (here is another one -- not a lecture :-), a fun way of playing a single-player game with 2x persons by starting the emulator 2x times: (sorry about the "lecture" that is my daily job talking about Wireless and Security" but for the TI-99 Video channel it is used to record how to setup all the "hardware" in emulators, which can be complex (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC7jwHlQfNTAKQ9WdKORAnpA)
  24. Here is a video for the TI-99/4, /4a emulators, to use Retro joysticks on a PC, but also how to program buttons on a USB-controller, like "Joy2Key" (one correction the Atari PointMaster --> PointMaster by DiscWasher for Atari systems)
