  1. It did not work "1-2-3" on my system, I need to look into it in more detail in the weekend what can be the issue. (but if it works on your system and other people's installations that's most important). C:\mess>mess64.exe -peb:slot8 tifdc -flop1 ASSMDS2.dsk -cart extended_basic.rpk Error: unknown option: -peb:slot8 Error: unknown option: -flop1 Error: unknown option: -cart
  2. I tried also other disks with similar loader and got the same result, but when I load it into Classic99 (the same disk) it shows it normal (MESS 0.157). when doing the list, funny enough I do not see the full names as well (?). Also I made sure that no other program is accessing the disks at the same time. Let me try tomorrow the other MESS-version to see if that works.
  3. Search also on the Atari Age forum for RASMUS games (like Roadhunter, Scramble, Flappy Bird, Titanium, Sports, Jet Set Willy to see the latest greatest!) For the others: e.g. Mission X 1. image DSK1. to the (v9t9.dsk image) 2. Select the Editor / Assembler Cartridge (the module) 3. Select option 5 4. DSK1.MISSION1 (MISSION1 is mentioned on the webpage, it is the filename) Note: To see the content of a .dsk (v9t9), the easiest is to use the TIDIR tool of Fred Kaal http://www.ti99-geek.nl/Projects/ti99dir/ti99dir.html A PGM (program file) is either an Extended Basic program or an Editor Assembler game. For the others it should be similar. But for LASSO they mention E/A option 3 (it will load automatically) but sometimes in E/A 3 you need to know the start word. and you need to know the start function "e.g. "START" (the nice part of V9T9 tool is that it will automatically display this start word !).
  4. I am sorry that's my mistake (that's because of the automatic conversion once it was uploaded to CF-card image and loaded back) Here is the original one 180K ASSMDS2.DSK
  5. If you still get a white screen, can you try this batch file: changedBatchfile.zip (I had this issue on a Asus EEE PC (smaller screen), and with the "java %VMARGS% -jar "%~dp0%\v9t9j.jar" --client SWT" it was able to start it. Or try to start the Java v9t9j.jar directly (or which Java version do you use?) I am using Java Standard Edition version 8 Update 31 (build 1.8.0_31-b13)
  6. I think the white screen means that you have not loaded any Roms? (This is not officially supported, the zophar website is managed by someone else), but can you try to see if it solved your problem: http://www.zophar.net/fileuploads/1/2409jgyex/tiroms.zip (and point v9t9 to load the roms in the SETTINGs menu. http://www.zophar.net/download_file/2409 at some websites you can find them (ROMS): http://www.zophar.net/ti/v9t9.html
  7. Have you selected "RS232/PIO" in the configuration (on the left). (and put the RS232PIO.BIN in the directory with the other ROMS? maybe re-read the directory of all ROMs?)
  8. Sorry correction it is not Liege but they are located in Namur (2 hour drive from your location) (PS I cannot edit my original post to correct it, I do not see the option)
  9. wow, that was a difficult one! It is from 1979 (Video Games 1):
  10. Michael - Can you load the ASSMDS2.dsk in MESS? (it works in other emulators and runs on real iron), but I get this loader screen corruption Not sure if that has to do with the disk format ? Note: the loader is from Tonny Brouwer it is to load Assembly games from Extended Basic.
  11. Yes, I got two (I did the order via the website that time) and sent it to The Netherlands. I got 2x nanoPEB with the RS232 interface (interface does not work, still need to test with a PC with a real COM port, but I do not have one), but it is not an issue. nanoPEB is good 32K + CF card but by max. CF-card (SAN Disk type) is 256Mb, my other 1GB, 4 Gb does not work (probably wrong CF-card brand). But David can send worldwide, he did one to Singapore (for another person), that was a CF7+ card with the PIO interface He is okay, I have been communicating with him and is ready to help. He lives in Liege, not too far your location :-) (depends what is "far") Good to know another person from Belgium! (I used to live here 10 years). Do you coincidentally the developers (DeLaet) if I am correct, they wrote some nice assembly programs, like Pong and Walking Man.
  12. Can you try this (in either Classic99 or V9T9). 0012-Assembler02.dsk 1. First select TI Extended Basic as your Cartridge / Module 2. Assign my Assembler02.dsk to DSK1 (make sure it is a disk image) 3. Then it should load automatically a startup screen 4. Mizapf (so far I do not get an error here with the version on my disk, I used to play on a real TI), but the tIAssmshelf I just tried that one also hangs
  13. Hi missumj FYI - You can have multiple V9T9 installed on the PC in different directories (download them here): http://eswartz.github.io/emul/ Like in the case of Ms. Pacman, it runs in a previous version. RS232.BIN (from my own setup) rs232pio.bin (provided by Ed - the author of V9T9)
  14. Modules.xml will be generated automatically when you have a directory with modules. .bin it is in your user directory. the rs232pio.bin I will post it tomorrow it is on my pc.
  15. His name is David. Email info@stargames.com. Email him because the website is in French.
  16. Hi Senior_falcon: There are alternatives, no excuses (just kidding), 250.000 we want to see it! Video -> TI-99/4 and /4A Joysticks (Wired and Wireless) but honestly it is quite painful on the hands (blisters) / fingers (numb) playing both using Joysticks (even with the Suzo The Arcade one) as with the keyboard. Opry99er do you provide insurances for all the people in the competition? I am only hoping that the next game will not be "Sports" (http://atariage.com/forums/topic/239512-ti-sports-game/) (great game by Rasmus and luckily it is only 100m, but to do a 1600m... like in Decathlon?
  17. Does someone know what can cause this? (crystal, memory, something else?) Strange as this TI-99/4A console I am using it daily/weekly, so far so good until today. (except that it starts with a blank screen each time I turn it on, then press a key to get the titlescreen) 1. Today I was teaching my son to write his first TI program in TI BASIC to print his name, but it did not work (so it was not convincing for him....): (cut down: video attached in .zip format) and 2. Also I wanted to do a simple performance comparison test between TI and Classic99 but now my TI cannot count and print anymore? PS1 - . I thought it was temporarily, after a reset it could print and count again, PS2 - the issue came back unfortunately. It would be good to know the rootcause. PS3 - Does someone know good Benchmark test programs for TI-99/4A (to test bare TI-console TI Basic only, or with XB+32K, EA+32K and more hardware, etc?) PS4 - that is a gaming console by Sony :-) RikAndTIBUG-CannotPrintAndCount.zip
  18. Thanks for the link! Antoon in NL mentioned he knows it also well he helped me with the /4 adapter to get it working)
  19. IMPORTANT note (some modules will not work in 21 July V9T9 version, I just spoke to Ed, he created a bug entry at github and will fix it but the previous V9T9 works, I have tested that) (e.g. Ms PacMan works in the previous one, but not in the latest one). .bin file (like the modules, Munch Man, etc.) Add the directory to search (in the setup - to scan for modules) Many .bin are here: ftp://ftp.whtech.com/games/ .rpk I have not tried so far to load into V9T9 (.rpk I ususally use for MESS or for JS99er.net) There is also an .rpk to .bin converter (or actually .rpk is a kind of zip file which has the .bin file in it): http://atariage.com/forums/topic/183282-using-bin-modules-in-mess/
  20. Here is an updated version of the video, hope it helps how to setup V9T9 Java version >
  21. This is the last one 153840 (17 days to go then it is 31st of August 2015) I am done for the weekend Equipment: Beige QI /4A and Suzo The Arcade Joystick. (bare console with the MunchMan 1981 module only) It becomes a bit easier at the end, because MM moves so fast that you can eat all 4 Hoonos ("Who Knows", is that what it means ?) and gets you faster to the next 10.000 extra MM, but if you are out of Energizers that's it.
  22. Do you have a particular game in mind you want to play? Or if you have downloaded a disk .dsk (e.g. from TI Gameshelf), then in V9T9 link to the dsk to DSK1. Now it depends what type of program it is: TI Basic, Extended Basic or Assembly program for the Editor/Assembler module. For example in: 1. in Extended Basic OLD DSK1.name (name is the program on the disk, in V9T9 you can see the list of the disk) 2. RUN or first try this NUM 100 PRINT "My name is xxxx" 110 RUN In Editor Assembler: Option 5 DSK1.name
  23. Wow really good, I recognize your list, except the Personal Real Estate one. I do not recognize > the desert > the palm tree > Which game are the trees with the black bird in it ? > and that little white guy under Donkey Kong ? (I think it is different from BurgerTime) >
  24. Here is a quick video, but you need the ROM files (it is on my list to make some videos of the emulators) but they also change quickly in versions! V9T9 Java version: http://www.globeron.com/freedownload/services/TI99/v9t9.mp4
  25. For V9T9 you need to have the ROMs (of the original TI-99/4A console) the developer does not distribute it: http://eswartz.github.io/emul/v9t9-roms.html >> but at some websites you can find them (ROMS): http://www.zophar.net/ti/v9t9.html >> once you load a disk e.g. in Extended Basic then enter RUN If you are new to the TI and want to get up to speed and play games: 1. js99er.net (JavaScript), has everything built-in, click e.g. on Software and "More" 2. Classic99 has everything built-in http://www.harmlesslion.com/zips/classic99.zip 3. V9T9 (I need to make a video, it is also a good emulator) 4. Videos of other emulators: https://www.youtube.com/c/Globeron-TI99VIDEOS >> software you can find at TIGAMESSHELF. http://tigameshelf.net/ >> and ftp://whtech.com/
