  1. With MAME (and optional qmc2 front end) you can emulate the /8
  2. Myarc Geneve 9640 emulation on Windows 11 Laptop PC using MAME Emulator HDMI Video output capture of PC. Reboot in Geneve is CTRL (left) SHIFT and (right) SHIFT, these combinations are also used to get out or Myarc mode / TI-Mode). ALT TAB is to go back to Windows. * Geneve 9640 non-GenMod boot * Geneve 9640 v0.98 rom (= SWAN logo boot) * Selecting Floppy Disks in MAME with F2 and TAB * Myart with mouse demo and loading SWAN and HDRAGON (different color mode) * (Start &TI99) different GPL modes (MYARC and GPL 650 TI-99/4A) * TI Invaders (via Myarc to in GPL TI-Mode) with Joystick * Loading XBEA (EXtended Basic and Editor/Assembler) in GPL mode Demo with Speech 80 Column demo in Extended Basic * Loading XB26 (demo CALL CHIME) and Speech * ABASIC (Myarc Basic) and demo Speech
  3. My Myarc Geneve 9640 on Windows 11 (Laptop PC) setup with Arcade Suzo Joystick (DB9 plug with USB converter) and USB Mouse. Behind the scenes to connect the Joystick and Mouse (and USB Disk drive) (I use floppies using F2 and TAB, see next video), but as mentioned earlier in this forum you can use a USB-Floppy disk and use .DSK files and the same selection for the A:\ drive (selected via F2 and TAB in MAME). Also you can add a USB Keyboard to get the same feeling as the Geneve. and a white "tank mouse" might be an option to get the same mouse feeling as on the Geneve 9640. (I do not have one to test it) ( https://sordan.ie/search/?q=tank+mouse)
  4. On Windows 11, I also had to do some additional steps to remove items (and I was not able to remove the windows elements during startup, but it continues to boot until the Geneve is up and running), (however after a sleep / standby mode, windows 11 asks to login again, still some tuning to be done at my end) but this is what I have so far (see the 2x videos in next posts)
  5. 324 TI-99/4A games with preview running on Batocera / MAME (.rpk format) Captured via HDMI output of 1x mini-PC (Beelink) to another Laptop using HDMI-to-USB dongle and OBS Studio (Open Broadcaster Software)
  6. Thank you! Last week I also found the Mame menu option to change disks, that will work for me to change between dsk. Almost the same feeling as with the floppy gotek dsk emulator
  7. @hloberg Does your Floppy Drive work with the Geneve 9640 emulator/MAME ? (e.g. like using a TI-99/4A / Geneve 9640 formatted disk ?) and then boot from Floppy the GeneveOS for example What I want to have the same behavior as the Geneve (either with a 3 1/2 Floppy Diskdrive or with Gotek Flashfloppy (with TI-99/4A formatted files). but I use a Laptop and USB Floppy interface, it seems this is not possible ? e.g. when looking at OmniFlop http://www.shlock.co.uk/Utils/OmniFlop/OmniFlop64.htm#Downloads
  8. Nice front end, just installed it via this link http://www.ti99iuc.it/web/_upload/image/GameBase_v21/GameBase.v21_by_Ox_and_Mad.zip (as one of the emulators is MESS ("MAME") the .rpk format is used (e.g. the Batocera collection can easily be added)
  9. May 2023 competition - CRACKY - a game created in 2023 by Inufuto / RetroPC (on Youtube) I literally arrived just now back from Japan. ゲームを楽しむ (enjoy the game) Binary: cracky8.bin MAME or Batocera: cracky.rpk Source: http://inufuto.web.fc2.com/8bit/cracky/ http://inufuto.web.fc2.com/16bit/ti99/cracky_bin.zip
  10. TI-Runner globeron (level 9) 23,800 mizapf 12,200 InsaneMultitasker (level 4) 9,200 Vorticon 8,800
  11. @Asmusr / @Tursi sorry for the delay I was travelling, I just tested it for both JS99er.net and Classic99 and it works now for me, when using S, D (for directions) and use K, L for bombing (normally I use the blasting at the back of the walking direction when jumping, then I can get to the key and jump further down.
  12. Load Level 1 first then in sequence press SHIFT 3 and 09, then it loads Level 9 directly (works with Disk TI Runner and Cartridge Star Runner) I can do it now with PC99 it also supports parallel walking and blasting (like MAME / Batocera). Now you can jump and blast the last brick (use the blast behind you when walking to get to the key and jump down. (I cannot do the parallel walk/blasting in JS99er.net and Classic99) .cc @Asmusr / @Tursi Very difficult level, also at the bottom to get pass the purple guy.
  13. for Classic99 StarRunnerC.bin StarRunnerD.bin For MAME or Batocera (on Batocera, need to release CAPS LOCK (ALPHA LOCK) and the D button (right does not work), use the PC-keyboard arrows and K and L for the blaster, but in Batocera you can walk and blast at the same time, will try this one to clear level 9. starrunner.rpk
  14. I was searching for this -- New website location http://hexbus.com/ti99geek/
  15. @Asmusr at js99er.net --- go to software and you can run Star Runner here. It looks the same to me for the 1st level, but the type of brick structure is a bit different.
  16. I always played with the Q and Y key (the Joystick Fire keys), but with K and L blaster keys it is different as now I can blast in front of me (... now hope I reach level 9 again, but the game play is different) (https://forums.atariage.com/topic/307149-databiotics-game-manuals/?do=findComment&comment=4545645)
  17. Honestly I do not think there is a much difference. If Star Runner has the same LVL 28 (separate Levels file) it is probably the same.
  18. Level 9. 23,800. (Classic99 with keys) Stuck at thislevell, I cannot get the blue key. If I remember correctly with playing using a Joystick you can break a wall while jumping. Need to test it out If that works.
  19. FYI -- Export of the TI games running on Batocera (MAME). Batocera-export.xlsx
  20. After the 1st play screen is loaded (do not move), then press SHIFT 3 and the level number (see in TI RUNNER version II they write it on the screen in French Language) (but it is a bit trying)
  21. Hi Jim, I also was wondering how much work or easy it is to convert a game for so many platforms http://inufuto.web.fc2.com/8bit/ (ask in the MSX version why there is no TI-99/4A version) https://youtu.be/02Xw-8EbARU
  22. Here is the TI RUNNER collection I had a a kid on Disks. I have good memories playing this a lot (as my neighbor had Lode Runner on the Commodore 64) Unfortunately we cannot run it as stand-alone program as it needs to load the levels from a file (e.g. I want to run it in Batocera without disk access) 1. TI-RUNNER 1 (Original) Editor/Assembler - option 3 DSK1.TI-RUNNER (LEVEL28 File needed) 2. TI-RUNNER 4 (Original) Editor/Assembler - option 5 DSK1.TIRUNNER (LEVEL28 File needed) 2. TI-RUNNER 2 Extended Basic loads automatically from DSK1.LOAD (or RUN "DSK1.LOAD") Editor/Assembler - option 5 DSK1.TIRUNNER2A (LEVELS2 File needed) 3. TI-RUNNER 3 Extended Basic loads automatically from DSK1.LOAD (or RUN "DSK1.LOAD") Select 1 - for TI Runner v3 or Editor/Assembler - option 5 DSK1.R (U File needed for levels) Extended Basic only: Select option 2 These are the levels I made as a kid 🙂 "HELLO THERE" "OH WAT MOOI" = "OH WHAT IS IT BEAUTIFUL" TI-RUNNER1.dsk TI-RUNNER3.dsk TI-RUNNER4.dsk TI-RUNNER2.dsk
