  1. I have two or three Adam tape drives that have just been laying in a box. They are partially disassembled and none working. the rubber on the encoder wheels turned to goo. I disassembled a couple and found the encoder wheels had also corroded to a nearby metal part. The plastic shells, doors and motors should all work, maybe the tape read/write head as well. Are these of value to anyone? I hate to just toss them. Not knowing what they're worth, I'd take $30 plus shipping. If anyone is interest, I will take/send detailed pictures of each. Thanks, JL
  2. Thank you all for sharing/confirming some information about this cartridge. Having never actually seen an active sales listing yet, if/when an original loose cartridge does show up, about how much do you think I should expect to pay (assuming cart works, label is in excellent condition)? $200-300 for just the cart? I've been following an eBay search for almost two years now and still haven't seen one pop up.
  3. Is this the correct, original cartridge and case for the ColecoVision version?
  4. There are probably dozens of people chasing this cart but does anyone have a loose version of this game for sale? If so, please PM me with you asking price. Other than eBay and this forum, is there somewhere else I should be checking? Does the legitimate ColecoVision Telegames cartridge have a silver label with black text? I want to find the original cart. If reissues or counterfeits exist, is there anything I should watch for to determine if I have found a legit one if/when I find one for sale? I'm not a hardcore collector. This has always been my favorite Coleco game so I'd like to add it to my meager collection, even if the price is borderline absurd. Thanks, Justin
  5. I had a couple of questions about tape drive repair. I bought 4 tape drives off of ebay. One works fine. Another spins fast to one end of the tape and the slowly back to the other, endlessly looping. The encoder wheel and rubber are completely intact and spin freely. Is this an internal issue with the encoder or can something else cause this? I've cleaned the read/write head. Two of the drives have gummy, black residue where the rubber wheel used to be. After opening both up, the encoder wheel on one has a big chuck corroded away. The other has some corrosion on the edge of the wheel in one spot, but otherwise looks ok and spins freely. Regarding the disassembly of the encoder wheel, has anyone else encountered an Adam tape drive that appeared to have the encoder wheel head (black plastic thing that the edge of the wheel spins through) glued to the plastic body of the tape drive? I've opened up two drives now and broke both heads trying to move them away from the wheel. They appear to be glued. Any ideas? I don't want to break the third drive trying to repair it when everything else seems to work fine. Thanks, Justin
  6. I forgot to post up here but the games arrived several days ago. The packaging for the carts was better than anything I've ordered from ebay or Amazon. The condition of the game carts was excellent. Thanks again, Mumbai!
  7. NIAD, Thanks for the info. I will search for mumbai on here to see what he has available. I'll email Bob too. He's been very helpful for my father and I. Thanks, Justin
  8. Hi all. I’m new as an official forum member but I’ve been a lurker off and on for a few years. I’ve been into ColecoVision with my father since I was a snot-nosed kid back in the early 80’s. Anyway, I am looking for a few cartridges to help my father improve his Coleco-ADAM collection. Here is what I’d like to find first (loose carts are fine, prefer label intact, normal wear is fine): Artillery Duel Bc's Quest for Tires Bump n Jump Choplifter Jumpman Junior Pitstop Time Pilot Antarctic Adventure Boulder Dash Centipede Congo Bongo Defender Galaxian Hero Jungle Hunt Lady Bug Miner 2049 Montezuma's Revenge Oils Well Roc'n Rope Root Beer Tapper Super Cross Force Mr. Do's Castle One-on-One (Dr. J & Larry Bird) Pitfall 2 Quest for Quintana Roo Star Wars Super Action Football Super Cobra The Heist Tutankham We have them all on SD multi-cart and as of two weeks ago, Bob S’s IDE flash drive, but nothing beats the nostalgia of playing from an actual cartridge. If you have any of these that you’d like to sell, please PM me with your asking price. I am also looking for an ADAM memory expander card (any size), ADAM digital tape drive and ADAMnet 3.5' Micro Innovations disk drive. I know it's a longshot on the MI drive but wanted to throw it out there anyway. Thanks, Justin Omaha, NE
  9. Sorry to dig up an old thread, but it won’t let me PM the OP to ask directly. Does anyone still do this NES to Coleco controller conversion or have any info on how to do it? I’d love to use a couple of NES D-pad controllers with my Coleco-ADAM system. Thanks, Justin
